I have been dealing directly with her. She is not responding to my pm's.

Looks like our rep hasn't been on FC for a while, so probably hasn't seen your message.

Cheers

EDIT:  Just clued in that I think CHAMPS is going on right now, so I expect that everyone is tied up with the tradeshow.

7 days now since @Davinci_vaporizer promised to overnight my replacement. It still isn't here. I wouldn't recommend this vape to my worst enemy. The whole release of this vape has been a joke, and now you can see that they don't give a shit about the customer once they have your money. Thanks for nothing@Davinci_vaporizer.

Pick up the phone and give them a call.

I wish that I could. I am unable to speak on the phone at this time. I can whisper like a motherfucker though!

So, last Friday I was told that a new unit would be over-nighted to me on Monday. That's right, the same thing I was told 11 days ago. It hasn't shown up. More BS from @Davinci_vaporizer .

I'm glad you got your voice back at least, good luck with the shipment this time!
This is the only ascent thread I'm following anymore...

I'm still not talking. Soon, maybe. All communication is via email. And don't get me wrong, I love the vape. When I get one with no flaws I know I will be happy.
So, no ascent today and nobody from @Davinci_vaporizer has contacted me to say there would be a delay or apologize for lying about when they were going to ship my replacement.

Received in an e-mail:

To our awesome fans,

The Ascent has been available to our pre-registers for the past two weeks and the reviews have been extremely positive!

Thank you all for hanging in there with us in these past few months.

For those who missed their designated purchase times, we wanted to let you know that today (10.31) will be the final day to purchase and receive the FREE pre-registration gift. Please go to: http://http://www.davincivaporizer.com/ascent-vaporizer-by-davinci/

Stock is up on the site now.

Once again, thank you all and we at DaVinci cannot wait to hear your feedback!

Best regards,

The DaVinci Team

I guess the good news is that the ascent will soon be on full sale and those who ordered through re-sellers should start getting their units.

Is there anyone else out there who received no time slot for ordering? I can't be the only one. What a disaster this whole pre-reg business has been lol. All that waiting, then I go on to DV's site and add one to my basket. Ah well. As I said in the main thread I couldn't quite bring myself to pull the trigger, but today is pay day, and I'm sooo tempted.

4 vapes since April isn't too many, is it?

I just heard from customer service. They say they are going to mail my replacement today. 4 days later than they promised to ship it the second time and 13 days later than they initially promised to ship it. I am at a loss for words at this point. Every person I have dealt with has been incompetent.

A loss of words might be a good thing for you at this point. You've had your say multiple times. You've had a lot of leeway, given that our rule is that you state your problem once and move on. Calling them all incompetent isn't necessary and borders on bashing. Describe your issue and let others draw their own conclusions. Keep all of this in mind before you make your next post on this topic.

Man im so bummed, i woke up this morning with someone at my door and just when im about to open i hear him driving away, now i haveto wait until tomorrow to pickup my package :(

Still i havent recieved my eu-adapter yet but i wanted to check it for defects, oh well.
Another question, with my Solo after I take a couple of tokes and am ready to stop for a while I always remove the stem to stop the cooking of the medicine and allow it to cool more quickly.

It seems that the Ascent will hold the heat and I don't see a way to stop the cooking has anyone figured out how to "preserve " their medicine?

I thought it might work to turn off the unit and take the second toke with the machine already off. Has anyone tried this?
I plan to do just that, turn of the heat and take a couple of large pulls and then leave the chamber open for a while.

Unless it has been misclassified, a vapourizer coming into Canada from the US incurs no duty. The fees you are charged are the GST plus whatever brokerage fees the carrier charges. In the case of Canada Post, that is a fixed $10 fee. (Actually $9.95 if i recall correctly.)
I second that, Nunavut Tripper. I have purchased two vaporizers from the States and paid zero duty both times.

EDIT:

Didn't see your next post in time...you know this already.:D

DOUBLE EDIT:

...or the many other posts that answered the question....lol

I am who I am and your approval isn't needed!
Ya, it seems Can Customs have been on the collection ball lately as they were always shoot n miss with import taxing up until now anyways... seems NOTHING gets through 'to me' without the tax man getting his share as well as that 'service charge' pinprick.

Contacted DV regarding my DOA unit. Initially spoke to Arron who seemed very apologetic and helpful. Indicated I would need to leave it charging a bit longer, but if no action after 10 hours than contact them and they will provide a return shipping label. In the meantime the sent a email requesting info regarding the unit. Ok, all seems alright despite the fact this is yet another delay in me getting the Ascent.
Later I returned the email with the requested info and received a response indicating that in order for DV to replace the faulty unit, they require it be sent back to DaVinci for testing. Once they have tested unit and have confirmed that the unit is faulty, only then will they go ahead and replace unit. So I call DV to inquire as when I spoke earlier they indicated I would be receiving a return shipping label. Aaron this time is not quite so friendly or apologetic and informs me that since I live in Canada, I must foot the bill to have the completely defective DOA unit sent back to DV 100%. He said if you lived in US we could cover the return no problem, but policy was that outside US, too bad. I said that this is not really a very customer friendly policy and would they be willing to at least cover a portion of shipping (as he indicated if I was in US they would cover the whole fee, so why should they cover 0% if its not within US) and was flatly told no. At this point I said well what happens if by some fluke chance I send this one back and the replacement is defective, no I will have to cover shipping again?? His response was, well we would send out a brand new totally functioning unit so that should be and issue. We literally went round and round in circles without getting anything resolved really. I said well I paid $40 to have the unit shipped up, so another $40 back and now were at over $80 just for shipping alone! His response to that was I can almost guarentee you can ship it back cheaper than that. What??!!

So now I either suck it up and pay the return shipping (which I really have no other choice) or keep my shiny new $300+ dollar paperweight and enjoy looking at it.

Sorry for the rant, but after all the delays and customers having continued patience with DV its a little disappointing to see how they actually treat those same customers.

Man that really sucks If you bought the unit with a credit card im pretty sure you can call them and let them know what happened. I had something similar happen called american express and they gave me the money back.

I'm a little disappointed to see companies still treat Canadians like second class customers :(

Strange perspective.....all the Capitalists I know what to sell their products to as many as possible.

IMO it's BS protectionist duties and stuff, from your side of the border, that make it difficult. No maker I can think if thinks high shipping rates are a good plan. That's what makes marketing to our brothers to the North tough, not some lame dislike of Canadian money. IMO you Cannuks are doing it to yourselves?

Damn that's sad to hear. Maybe try talking to a second person or geting ahold of the Divinci representative on here would help.

sorry to hear about your issues up north but this statement kinda pisses me off. i PAID to have my defective unit shipped back and i live in the US. i spoke to Aaron during the whole thing and Davinci_vaporizer here in PM and at no time what so ever was i ever offered to have my shipping covered.

Im pretty sure All of us paid to have our defective units returned...

im sure we all did and that is not my issue.. i am TOTALLY sure i am not the only one in the US that had to pay to ship it back. but i did mention way back when, to both Aaron and DV that i didn't feel it was right. now they change their policy? or was it just said to "quiet" him down sort of??
