this device works very well, the can can be used with a proper seal provided by a small section of silicon tubing.

@Flatland what reason did they give you for not honoring the warranty?

I purchased the vaporizer from vaporizer direct which apparently isn't an authorized dealer now. I sent in the unit just a few months ago and they serviced it without a problem (I have e-mail proof). Now all of the sudden they won't honor the warranty because I didn't purchase it from an authorized dealer? What a bunch of bullshit.

I'm sorry you're having trouble, but am having a little trouble following what your issue is.

You bought from a non dealer and they overlooked that once before and serviced your unit anyway and now you think they're obligated to keep doing so?

What were the warranty terms with VD when you bought it? What did they promise you in exchange for your hard earned money? That's really where your claim lies you know. I'm not sure the link from VD to DV exists, are you?

Vaporizer Direct was an authorized dealer when I purchased the unit. I specifically e-mailed them before purchasing the unit to make sure that they were an authorized dealer and they said yes. Here's e-mail proof bellow

So why would you say they are a non dealer?

Is Vaporizer Direct an authorized reseller?

Okay I just received a phone call from a Davinci rep and he basically told me the same thing. Even after I have forwarded him the above e-mail he just said that it was probably a mistake and won't honor the warranty. I purchased this vaporizer solely based on their e-mail. So this company basically tricked me into thinking that Vaporizer Direct was an authorized reseller even though they weren't. What a great company.

Again, I'm sorry you're having trouble but understand 'both sides' I think. Cost of warranty is a big deal, in the distributor contracts it's part of the deal. Distributors get lower prices by agreeing to responsibilities in the area. There's a contract there between DV and VD. There's also a contract between you and VD.....but not with DV. Legally they owe you nothing, you have no contact since you gave them nothing (a contract has to have 'consideration' (money counts) going both ways). Your claim is with VD, not DV. Always was. They may, at one point, have had an agreement with DV. They don't 'get out of it' for the remainder of the year they guaranteed it to you by cutting any deal they may or may not have had with others.

Like I said, I've been though this before a long time back. Again, I'm sorry you unit has packed in, what's wrong specifically, maybe we can get it going? I don't know how you feel about it as a vape, but if mine stopped I'd want to get it going or replaced I think.

I bought a second DV for my brother; his has a serial number on the bittom, mine doesn't. Is this if any relevance? Is one device newer than the other?

Actually, there IS a serial # there, just very faint.

Out to lunch
how hot do you guys go? i have yet to vape over 387 with my unit..
If you check your ABV color after using that temp, I think you may decide that's high enough. I might be wrong but I've always felt like this model runs hotter than the display indicates. I usually start no higher than 340.

387 tastes like crap if you cycle up at 5F intervals from 355. But then again mine blew up last night. 355 did taste godly. I never had any taste issues and that's comparing to my dbv

Original DV and 375 mostly. I sometimes go down towards the end because it starts getting to harsh for me. So I guess my range is about 365-375

The regular that came with it as there were no snorkels yet and since I never broke mine I never ordered what I consider and over priced snorkel. I did want one but not for that money. I can just add tubing to make the path longer if I so choose.

Mouthpiece was such a disapointment. The one thing i thought couldnt break actually broke. Also anyone else pull out all the hairs from the brush by mistake while removing it from the hole? I did not expect that to happen either. Also offgasing? What is that? Is it resin or plastic? Anyone else experience the same issues?

This vaporizer failed me. It was good when i bought it but everything quickly went downhill. I dont use it anymore.

Mine was amazing until last night when my car charger blew it up. Well my original mouthpiece failed within a day. Snorkel is still legit.

I pulled out the bristles at first as well - which was somewhat stupid on my part. Luckily my vendor (EZvapes.com) sent me another for free. Now I don't push it in hole all the way so I can get a grip on metal part.

Otherwise, the vape has performed beautifully with no issues, including the mouthpiece. I do handle it carefully, do not let dogs chew on mouthpiece or use it as a frisbee.

Haven't had a problem with the mouthpiece so far. I also pulled the bristles off in the same manner pretty early on, but that's mostly my fault although I guess one can also legitimately complain about how it's stored. Never experienced any offgassing, either--it was explained by the DV rep in this post.

So cycle 7 times at 405 dry burn? I just cleaned it as well, and i want to sell it soon but not if its off gasing because of something else. Ill do it and if it doesnt work ill try to contact da vinci. If i can get a new one that would be cool, because otherwise it produces good vapor and vapes the herbs very evenly. The mouthpiece i can learn to be careful with and the brush as well. I can really use this thing for stealth. Do you guys pack the herb straight into the oven or into the oil cans first?
