Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

So today I was in the middle of a session with the cloud and warming my hands at the same time. I set the vape on my desk for 20-25 seconds with the ELB in, which I never do because I take it out after every draw.the next time I'm using it I taste the flavor of very vaped bud aka dark brown color. This really hasn't happened with me before because the cloud never put any herb to that point.
I'm thinking the cloud gave the ELB some conduction while still inserted.
Your thoughts ?

Agreed. There is some conduction. I let my herb 'roast' for a couple seconds before drawing. I seem to get better results. It could be all in my head though.

if i leave an elb in before drawing, it does get a little toasty. it doesn't brown or anything, but rather just gets a very very light roast.

btw, my mobius/cloud combo is :whoa:

There's always going to be some conduction, with the heater that close, but over 20-25 seconds it should be totally insignificant (as far as browning or otherwise expending your herb goes). Maybe if left sitting in place for days it might degrade a load to some significant degree, but even then I doubt it, and even if it would, the unit shuts off after a few hours anyway.

I don't think it's even decarb it, actually. Has anyone taken any temp measurements at the male joint at rest?

Like the post above said, leave it in there a few minutes and enjoy the pre-warm. Less priming volume required when you eventually do hit it; vapour production will start earlier in the hit, meaning more of the goodness gets pushed deeper into your lungs as a result. Gives you a bit more bang for you bud if you're on a budget, since you'll get a bit more of it absorbed and a bit less of it exhaled as a result, but nothing you'd bother chasing if the green is free-flowing.

I'm actually experimenting right now with a few ELB's with no cleaning at all and extreme cleaning.
Damn I love the cloud.. I can why someone like vitolo wouldn't like it but for the the vapor through water crowd.. There isn't a better choice, my opinion of course ;)
Every time I use it this happens..

In the long run, that few hundy savings won't pay off. The old Tickers had contract MFG issues, buying used old tech is all about AS-IS. When the ticker dies (all electronics die) it will be like trying to get a 1935 ford repaired.
Damn, well it's too late now, already bought it, $365 and it comes with a HT.. Lets hope she runs for a few more years. Maybe I will try my hand at fixing it myself if it ever breaks..

Hey man, silver lining. These cats are saying... oooo look at what you missed. I say you take that 300$ difference, buy some amazing quality herb, and get so blasted to the clouds you just don't even care

Haha might be the best advice I've got yet. Yeah what else can you do?

Yes, posted here. About 200F. Readings I got on herb loaded in an ELB, about 150F.

Some would argue that it hot enough to release terpenoids; I have no idea.

EDIT: That infrared reading was taken after the Cloud had been on for 1 hour, set on max.

I leave loaded ELBs in the male joint for hours on end and have never noticed any significant depletion. On one occasion I did detect some vapor boiling off, so I'm sure there is some loss. It's just not enough for me to care about tbh.

And you get a hydrotube......

Was it the tickers or the + models that had failures due to shoddy connections to the heater? I always thought I had heard that tickers were good to go and some + models were screwed. Is that wrong?

The Plus models suffered the most it seems. There were some initial problems with the ol' tickers, but lots of them are still alive and kickin' today. I hear one next to me right now as a matter of fact. It's calling my name. :p

Yeah I really can't complain. It's a vertigo hydrotree. The vertigo HTs are the first model HTs to ship with the original cloud right?

One of. The others that were available for preorder was the SGW circ HT, and a gridded Sov/VXC tree HT. The Sov/VXC HT's were limited so they are the most rare.

So maybe this was answered, but I didn't see it anywhere. Do Indiegogo campaign supporters and pre-orders get their EVOs at the same time or do campaign members get theirs first?

From what I understood, campaign contributors would receive theirs before anyone else. I would assume this includes preorders. Perhaps they are gearing up to do both at the same time though? Not enough info to give a solid answer. It was stated somewhere that Fanatic contributor units are supposed to ship at the end of October. That seems to be about nowish. I can only assume that after Fanatic contributors get theirs, Early Bird contributors will get theirs, and so forth.

Again, all assumptions, except for Fanatics shipping out at the end of October. I'm pretty sure I read that on Instagram.

I believe campaign members get theirs first, then the pre-orders.

This is on VapExhale's site if you try to pre-order:

"By pre-ordering, you will guarantee yourself a spot as one of the first folks (outside of our Indiegogo Contributors) to receive the Could EVO."

Here is a few questions.

Do the early birds still get a tee shirt?

Did the clouds before this release come with a stock tube that wasn't a hydra.

If yes, will this one?

Not that it would matter bc I'm using the cloud with a hydra was just designed that way.
