Looking at my ABV's through a 40X loupe....

and I'm astounded by the amount of trichomes and resinous matter left on the remaining material.

Being relatively new to vaping, is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

FWIW, my three pieces are a MFLB, VG, and Lotus. The amount of un-consumed is greatest in that order too.

How fine is your grind? I don't think I would find many if any trich heads or stalks in my ABV from the LB, my grinds come out pretty fine to begin with and then a quick finger grind after a few hits. By the end of it, the color is similar to coffee grounds, but with no burned specks.

Sorry moderator. I figured this post was in the wrong place, but couldn't delete because it had a reply.

Anyway, back on topic. Yeah, try doing it some time. Look at your middens under a scope or loupe.

I'll admit that my herb is on the fluffy side, but I stir it regularly in the bowl and apply ample heat to bring it to the brink of scorching. On a coffee scale it's kind of a light roast.

Praise Jah that I'm new to vaping and learned very early the value of saving the after-products for other uses.

Thanks for the suggestions and links too....
