Which portable to replace mine?

Hi guys,

I just received my replacement Inhalater XP back from Pharmacor a couple of days ago, and I am deeply unimpressed with it. It is nothing like my original XP (that broke and had to be sent in for a replacement).

I think that means I am now in the market for another portable. What would you guys suggest? I have looked into the Ascent but that seems to have it's fair share of problems, also it is mainly conduction (rather than convection). I have also looked into the Pinnacle Pro, but I have heard the battery life isn't too great.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

I've been using the Davinci a lot over the last year and it serves me well. Just picked up a Pinnacle that I have only had the chance to use for a few sessions but I can say I like it a lot, the pro should be killer if you need the higher temp range. I like the t-vape a lot but wouldn't want it as my only vape.

you do Know that most of the posts to follow will tell you to pick up a Solo, most seem to love it so if the slightly larger size and glass doesn't present a problem it's a great way to go. I know i'm not being to much help, then again as as stated above only you really know what your looking for. :peace:

You haven't said what you need from your portable so cant realy recommend much but arizer solo is a grate vape

Sorry I should have specified, I'm looking for something to rival the XP. The Solo is far too big for me, and the bowl size is very small. The Pinnacle is also quite big but I'm willing to get it if it's worth it.

I'm looking for (ideally) a pen-style vape, good battery life, mainly convection. That's pretty much it.

I suggest you wait for something new to come along then.

You want a pen-style for stealth i suppose. The only other pen style other than the XP, is the Cera and the Pinnacle.

If you don't mind the average taste, the pinnacle is the only one who fits your needs. the cera has a small batery life and it's quite expensive for its functionality.

I wouldn't choose any of them. I must say that the portable market is very boring these days... most units don't have such great taste and the few who do are not the stealthiest so, a portable ends up something that you can carry but can't use outside in a public venue.

Why not go flame-based and forget about pen-style? Have you seen the Lotus or the Vaponic?

Thanks for the advice. I'm not really bothered about taste as I can never really tell the difference to be honest. I only care about the high. I wouldn't want to go with a flame-based one as I don't consider them very stealthy. If the only option is to wait then I may reluctantly do so.

Well, it all depends. I use my Vaponic inside bars and cafes... you just have to be clever about it and evaluate the scene.

If you don't mind the taste, check the Pinnacle and the DaVinci threads and see if they would fit your needs.

If this is the case the T-vape is a good choice. Due to being conduction and the large amount of herb you can stuff in the e-tube the taste suffers a bit after a few hits but the dense vapor+ quantity of bud it can hold gets me Blitzed and its so easy to use and maintain. I know its only been around for 4 months or so but its become one of my favorites. :peace:

The T-vape does look pretty good, even if it is conduction like the Pax. I will definitely look into it. It seems as if it's a toss-up between the Pinnacle Pro or the T-Vape.

I think you would be happy using either one But to chose between the two if cost is no issue I myself would go for the PNPRO even though I like the tVape so much. Vaporblunt has a much stronger presence here on FC and great CS. I just picked up a OG Pinnacle and have only used it a handful of times(end of the month, herbs are scarce) But believe the higher temps with the pro would make it a bit better especially with the little pinnacle water tube(which is also awesome with the t-Vape). What ever you decide on there are some good vapes out now, So many solid choices compared to only a year or two ago I'm sure you'll find one(then another) That you like.:peace:

I just used my Tvape and a PAX both this weekend. I honestly prefer the Tvape in every category but size.

I bought my Tvape for 50 bucks with free shipping on Ebay. So the price beats any vape out there.

How big is it?

+1 for the solo. it's my fave portable vape and the only one that i use regularly (for out and about needs)

I don't want the solo, it's outdated now and it's too big for my needs.

I agree you might be out of luck then. :(

IMO, the solo is the only portable vape I've used that reliably comes close to doing what I want it to. (hit me like my home vapes do)

i hear you on the solo not being stealthy though. it's size is where it's power comes from though.

The solo may not be the newest vape out there but it is far from outdated. There is a reason that people suggest it despite you saying it won't work for you. The solo is one of the best portables on the market unless complete stealth is your top priority. You can also put it in a cup to conceal it and then it is less conspicuous than most other portables.

I have found the exact same thing. Other portables I've tried leave me wanting "more" and never have hit me as hard or as fast as the Solo.. VB2.0 & MFLB both medicated me VeRy well but I never notice right away, it's more of a creeper high with those two portables IMO..

As far as stealthiness.. There are definitely ways to hide the Solo so it is Stealthy.. Here is my go-to set-up if I ever require stealthiness(not much of an issue for me). I realize this may not be stealthy enough for your needs, just providing my methods..

20oz cup(small holes poked in bottom for heat escape), modified lid, stock straight stem..

Vb2.0 not very stealthy to me.. The MFLB I always considered stealthy as it fit in palm of my hand, but always having your hand at your mouth isn't necessarily a common practice for the normal population..

Did you get him to mark value down? Otherwise a customs charge will probably be due
