Hi guys. Long time lurker. Thanks to all for the information and input.

I have a quick question. I was taking my Hercules off of my Persei and the threaded portion on the top of the Persei came loose. Well, needless to say I freaked out and screwed it back in. As i screwed it back in the blue light flickered. Once it was seated all the way in, the light wouldn't turn on. So I slowly started to back it out again and it flickered and stopped. So I took the threaded insert off and it exposed two wires, yellow and black. I have a small solder gun and was wondering if anyone knows the configuration for these two wires and the threaded insert? If it like my electric guitars, one wire should hit the center "pin" of the connector and the other should be a ground and go to the side of the connector, but I was just wondering if anyone has dealt with it. My Persei did not come with a double top, so I am getting a little desperate here. Thanks in advance for any input!

There is no configuration, really. This sort of resistive load circuit will worth either way. But I believe the standard is jacket positive, pin ground. As for which wire is which, I'd assume they follow the standards and black is negative.

Ok, Thanks. As I went back to look at a guitar input diagram, I was wrong and you seem to be in the right. The center pin is the negative and jacket is hot, so I'm going to give that a shot.

OK guys. Just wanted to confirm (as if THC SCIENTIFIC would have told me otherwise lol) that the center pin is positive and jacket is negative on the bottom of the cap. Mine is working again but I am afraid to try to screw it in all the way because the wires are short and i broke the solder twice. So it is just about half way in and I am using a 5 ohm cart. I made the ground a little longer with some really small gauge wire and it helped.

@THC SCIENTIFIC I filed a ticket even though I am kind of patched up for the moment. Is that ok? I don't want to seem like I'm standing in line twice...

And to add to that, I appreciate you offering to send me a new one without a second thought. Cheers!

Well here I am taking rip after tasty rip on my Hercules. No issues since cleaning the rod and switching out coils. Ill be sending you the old coil tomorrow @THC SCIENTIFIC .

Quick question, need to send my dual top in for replacement as well. Should i send it all together?

Send it all together.


and to confirm we do have Titanium Coils. Stronger and better.

2mm lengths and you can add as much as you want for different types of oils no more cutting. Samples are being manufactured this week.

I completely agree. I had some moderate success stacking the cut coils, however I don't think I had the length ratio correct. I really look forward to trying out this new design. It seems as though the standard coils are the source of most if not all my unresolved issues.

Hi guys can someone please tell me what is the kiss-cart.Is it for wax or e-liquid?

Also Imust say that I am very satisfied with my Persei.My favorite setup is 2x 3, 7V--> 5 ohm catrige. Soon I'll put me also aSR-71, does anyone know if this will be available in Europe ? i have only see the 3.7V seen version in a French shop, but I'm interested in the7.4Volt version:)
