There are Europian dealers...you don't say where you are from. I would check this site for vendors and if none from where you are from you may want to say as someone may know how to get it local to you.

I know I know. All true, in retrospect. But then again I might even order again from them. Verry cheap, official dealer and it's not that they don't honnor their warranty.

Hey there... Didn't use my Solo for about 15 months. Today I wanted to charge it again, but nothing happened. Seems like the battery is totaly empty. Is there something i'm missing? Just plug it in and wait, istn't it? If I push the buttons for heating it up, it works, but the battery won't charge (no lights).

Is there anyone with the same issue? Thanks for any advice...

C'mon. They did send us Tom Green, Bieber, Alanis, Howie Mendel and ham-bacon. But to call Canadians Inhuman is a bit rough!?
Uh, yeah...sorry about that. We meant to send them to France but got the address wrong... *sigh*

Sorry you're having troubles. The only similar reports have been caused by completely dead charger (as opposed to too low an output which causes 'light shows').

The battery is obviously not "totally empty" if it runs normally. If you can still do that with the charger plugged in it's obvious the Solo isn't detecting the charger for whatever reason.

I'd start by confirming it's not an outlet issue (try something else there or a different outlet.....or both). Next I'd take the charger down to the local Radio Shack (assuming that you have such....). They can check it out for you and sell you a replacement.

If you have further troubles, PM me, maybe we can work something out.....

So the red heat light did not blink at all since I posted last night. Ive fully drained and recharged it, but it seems like ive got a faulty led... Since everything else works.

Has anyone had the issue of just the faulty "heat" red led with no other issues (im asking again cause no one replyed to the post)

yep mine is like that on the idle light. (the heat light still works on mine)

vape functions just fine, but the lights are a tad wonky

Thanks for all the replies. But it was a false alarm. It seems, that the "charge" light doesn't work anymore. The red "heat" light is working tough. I charged the solo for about 2 hours and now its heating up unwired.

Now just lean back and enjoy... :ko:

Hey guys do you think you could stretch a piece of 3/8'' ID tubing to fit over an 18mm GonG slide? I'm thinking of making a DIY tubing rig for my solo and was curious as to what size tubing I would need

What about 1/2''? my other plan is to put the tubing on the end of a normal stem and put the tubing onto the bowl segment of my GonG so that I can use it similarly to the extreme Q WPA

That should work fine but you will have to work it on I would think. The 1/2" ssv od tubing fits the reg stem easily and the 18mm is bigger so you have to still work in on. If it is tapered as I have not seen the 18mm gong then it should be easy.

My PNWT arrived today, so I'm guessing that my Solo ordered a day later should turn up later in the week. How necessary is it to do a burn-in? Is it unhealthy to hit it without burning-in first?

Cheers

Finally pulled the trigger. Very excited to experiment with some recently acquired herbals. Just need to remember to do 3 full 12 minute cycles on 7 to burn off anything, then I am good?

The number of burn in sessions is up to whatever you feel comfortable with. Personally, I did one full cycle @ 7, swabbed the bowl out with iso after it cooled then did another 12 minute burn in session @ 7. After that, I used it as normal. Honestly I didnt see or smell any offgassing after the first full session.

Regardless, if you want to do 3 or even 4, go for it. I'm an impatient bastard.

Also be sure to charge your unit to the 7 indicator before you use it for the first time.

From what I understand, this helps with the "memory" of the battery (better capacity and/or retention IIRC).

Got a question for anyone with battery knowledge. I just bought an Anker portable battery http://www.amazon.com/15000mAh-Port...ref=lh_ni_t?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A294P4X9EWVXLJ to match up with my pinnacle pro that will be here eventually. I was wondering if it could also charge up the solo and what cable I would need.
Thanks for any help, and stay tuned for some side by side comparisons with my ceramic and ss solos. My m103 got back home yesterday!

Unfortunately not. Sorry. There's a scheme to using two and some stuff to tie them together (and reduce the total a little over 10% for PA mode. But one alone is short on power by about half to do the job alone.

For slightly more trouble we can rig it to recharge instead.

This is why I shifted approaches and used this:
