Discontinued Vapolution 2.0

Okay, I just bit the bullet. I'm on quite an extensive waiting list for another unit, so i'm shopping for new toys to tinker with to hold me over. Between the coupon, everyone's experience and Stickstones being in here as well, all helped my decision. I was a lurker for quite some time before joining and I've come to appreciate Stickstones posts in every thread so far. Anyway, I grabbed the basic package, a non carbed buddy bowl and a vapor barrel. I really hope they send the free aiwb because there was no option to add it on the site.
Can anybody tell me the best silicone size to connect the buddy bowl and vapor barrel because the stock tube looks really stiff. Should I buy a bulk piece? Or rather is it a universal ID/OD that can be used with most vapes like the old school box whip, SSV, extreme q etc.?

Edit: sorry guys, in all my vapes in all the years, I've never had to change the tubing. Just clean them and keep going.

Yeah, I ended up putting one of the small screens that came with my Tvape in there. Had to premold it a bit then push it in.

Big clouds and great taste.

Yeah, they will send you the aiwb as long as you used the code.

5/16 id. I know this because i accidentally order 5/16 od and now have 10 feet of silicone that is useless to me.

glad to hear my ramblings have helped someone...thanks for the encouragement!

my experience was like deadhead's...they just put the aiw in there. It has a carb and I like it. The stock tubing worked fine for me...I just hooked it up to an Extreme elbow and it drops into any 18mm joint. So I think the tubing is standard, but it is a little bit stiffer than the tubing that comes with the ssv and the mflb, but just like the tubing that comes with the Extreme.

for the record, I tried it with water just once. I found the draw too restrictive and the flavor lost. I love using it dry with the aiw. it protects the taste and, without grinding, I still get no particulates coming through. Play with it a ton and find what you like best and tell us!

@stickstones: I thank you guys. I will probably enjoy the carb myself, I ordered the buddy bowl carb less because I noticed that the vapor barrel had a carb. Don't know how that would work out because I plan on connecting the two of them between a whip. Fiddling 2 carbs will have me feel like I'm playing a flute. I also do not plan on using water, have enough vapes to do that already. Like you, I will use the aiwb dry. However, for the times that I don't want to lift the machine or hover directly above it, I want a whip like I saw another member make (sorry I can't remember your name as I type this, but Big Props to you) where they connected the vapor barrel and buddy bowl with a whip. I like that the buddy bowl is bent. This way, I can just reline and enjoy the bliss.

Which leads me to another question: Is there any particular favored length for the whip. I'm baked right now but 3.5 feet seems a bit much. Thanks.

I use a VAPOR BARREL with a short tube to mix it up.

Only one carb that is on the BARREL.
The AIWB I use a lot as well.

I confess I have never used the tubing, I've never been much of a fan of whips, plus the AiWB and Straight Shooter make the vapor path truly all glass, which is the reason this is such an amazingly enjoyable flavor-producing experience for me, and easily one of my all-time favorite vapes to use!


So I must admit that I think my tubing will stay coiled up in it's box for the foreseeable future...

Thanks, that's exactly how I plan on using it, but I work a lot and I'm looking for a setup for those dead to the world situations.

What's up guys? So I received the Vapolution 2 today, and you all were so very right. This thing just rocks!!
It's simple, and because of the gang here I didn't even have a learning curve. At the price point that thay are offering to members, you just can't go wrong. There really needs to be one of these in every home. Hell......for the price, I think I know what I will be giving out for Christmas presents.

@ataxian: thanks for the tip. We now have identical twin whips. I cut one length of tubing in half and made a whip like yours. I took the other half and paired it with the Vapor barrel on one end and the non carbed buddy bowl on the other end. I just couldn't see myself using a 3.5 foot whip. My longest ever has only been 18-20 inches.

@Yoshimattsu: sorry I'm at work now and can't look over the unit, but what straight shooter are you talking about? Is it the small and large glass that the plastic retainer attaches to? If so, how do you go about that? I'm trying to picture it and I keep seeing my face being too close to the Vapo in order to reach the straight shooter, and the glass being too hot.....that's if I'm picturing the right glass.

One question......I guess there is a learning curve for me after all.
Do you guys leave the apparatus inside the Vapo in between hits? I did this and I feel like I should be taking it out in between hits. Does it continue to heat and cook the botanicals just sitting in there, sorta like conduction does?

Oh sorry, one more thing. If I wanted to grab say 5 of these for Christmas gifts, would the coupon code be applicable for all units or was this a one time deal for us because we're members here?

I leave mine in between its, but in a session. Don't leave that stem in there unattended or unhit for an extended period. Your herb will cook to completion and it will be hard to get the stain off the bottom of the stem. You can take it out and hit it later after a reheat if you want to end your session early.

I'd bet you can keep using the code.

Ok, thanks Sticks. That was a stupid question on my part anyway. I dont know why I even try to find something wrong with this thing. It is what it is, simple and more than efficient. I pray this just has longevity. This is one that I'd like to keep around for years. Like my old school wooden box/whip vape. I still have her and will never get rid of her (she was my first). I've had a bunch of vapes and have gotten rid of even more but she is still with me. I still use her every couple of months too. I'm sentimental like that.

I found the same as you.

I use the V2 dry.
Did water path however no need!

The all cough in cough cough wonder hack hack cough bowl, wooo, shit, cough, cough, cough (as he wipes the tears from his eyes), thanks guys, you haven't steered me wrong yet. The aiwb is the truth. It's a gift and a curse. Okay time to load her up again. Gonna vake until I can't feel my arms and legs lol.

I never used cotton for a screen, just to wipe out the reclaim from the stem and pop it in the bowl. I fell asleep with the unit up high, and it burned a bit. No problem if you watch it though.

Yes i have but not too much because the bowl is small himself and if your cotton is too pressed, the airflow suffers. So cotton must be unpressed.

To screenning this unit, i have formed two tiny SS screens, up and down. Rare falling in the bowl.

I cam contempling on using this upside down in the water, must be awesome? may be i ll be modding this someday to enjoyy

I only use the vapor pellets with my Vapolution as suggested, I never get pieces in my mouth and I get plenty of vapor!

I tried a little cotton once with some ground weed and ended up packing it too tightly. Then I made a sammich with a small bud, followed by ground bud, followed by another bud. This was too tight as well. Somewhere in there is a sweet spot, but I am more than satisfied with the pellet method.

I just vaped a large bowl of Purple Kush with the Vap 2 and I'm almost too stoned to type.

By large bowl I mean over half of what I would vape with any other vape.

I love this vape.
