What portable vape would you recommend?

Hi there,

its been a while since i browsed and posted here, but now its time to get a new vape =).

I already own a Volcano, a Life Saber and a MFLB. These three vapes really satisfied all my needs for a long time but now i am looking for an addition to my arsenal. I want a portable vape without a power chord.
The main reason i am looking for a new vape is to have something i can easily use while chilling on the sofa.

The Volcano is out of question since its big, needs space and the bag is like a bag of chips. Always making sounds and this will enrage the wife. The MFLB is simply too weak for my needs. It cannot compare to the Volcano or Life Saber in terms of "vapor quality". I feels like sucking water thru a small straw when you are really thirsty =). Dont get me wrong the MFLB has its uses, there are not many vapes that can be used pratically everywhere due to its minimal size and low sound/smell footprint. But at home i am free to use something bigger too.

So my initial thought was to get a Solo or DaVinci since they seem to have the right size. They are also more powerful than the MFLB, or at least so i think =).

What would you guys recommend in my case?

thx in advance

I would suggest the Lotus instead of the Solo owning both and loving both! You can take a hit, small or large, in a matter of seconds after loading, toss it next to you or just hold it and play it in your hands like Gandalf (a very relaxing thing), then pick it up again and so on... With the Solo you need to either finish your session or remove and re-insert the stem if you need a break and all the waiting to heat up... And then you have to remember to plug it in for recharging. You get cooler hits as well with the Lotus as the aluminum pipe does a far greater job at cooling the vapor than the Solo stems and won't break accidentally. The Lotus is a no brainer for me. And it's FULL convection, for me that translates in getting higher with smaller quantities and have superior taste... :2c:

A Lotus is my most-desired vape right now, for what it's worth. I can't recommend it, not having used it, but I have heard so many good things. I'm hoping to buy one before the end of the month (with a water pipe adapter!)

Almost there...
Do you taste any butane when using the Lotus?
That is what is keeping me away from it and the learning curve that i think goes along with those types of vapes.

I see they now have a glass stemmed version!!!!

And learning curve almost non existent with newer version... It only takes time to perfect it! ;)

I'd love to try a lotus. I have a vapman, and I love it. Really nice to have an option that works without power. That being said, Solo is pretty sweet and easy to use with friends, if that is important. Some people have a hard time with lighter based vapes, even the easy to use ones :D

There is that massdrop deal for the pinnacle pro. I am waiting on mine, so I can't say my thoughts yet...but I hear it's a good deal as well.

I just saw the massdrop for the PNP for $155 (assuming enough people buy) & getting it for the price of a solo seems like a great buy. I must say though I'm not really a big fan of Vaporblunt, they have had a reputation in the past of pumping out one model after another without ever getting it right. OTOH from the reviews, it seems like they really got it right this time with the PNP. If I were in the market for another portable I would probably jump on that massdrop, of course thats only because I already have my solo (which you would have to pry from my cold dead hands if you ever wanted to get it away from me).

My main concerns with flower vaporizers are efficiency and longevity. My choices for a portable would be solo, lotus, or hammer. There are some less mainstream products that look good, the firewood or davinci for example. However, I prefer to have a product with proven support.

I've never had any other portable vape, but I got a Solo on the recommendations of others here and some youtube videos . And I'm soooooooo glad I got one, that I now have two.

But it needs a PVHE Stem right off the bat, yes the stock one works but it still needs the PVHE.

I don't think the assent is a viable option given the have that you can't get one anytime soon. Also you can use wax and oil in the Solo.

Thank you very much for the many replies.
Sadly i was sick and not online to reply anything.

I only use flowers so my vape of choice should be optimized for that.

The silent vapor bag looks interesting but its rather pricy. Given the fact that you cannot use them forever.
Well maybe you could but based on my experience nothing destroys the taste like an old bag =)

I dont really wanna wape with fire but the lotus looks very nice too i might try that.

As for the solo: do i get it right that you should always finish your load? I guess its not that big that this would be a problem right?
