So you grind up larger amounts, than freeze? Never heard of that.

not exactly a large amount, half o or quarter o usually. grind up a grinder full at a time, throw it in my freezer (with grinding lid open) and let it freeze then i shake it like a crying baby, once im almost out i start over. and i save my kief from it. i wish i lived in a legal state.

What do you think the freezing does?

well i do it because if i have moist bud, i gotta clean my vapes more often, seems once theyre froze, they dry out faster and easier to put into a fine material. more surface area, better vape.

yes, but wouldn't frozen herb require higher temps to vaporize, throwing everything off?

The freezer (& refrigerator) remove ambient moisture. You are essentially drying stuff out.

Nope. Temp is temp.

Now... it might require more ENERGY to reach that desired point, but if you have stripped all of the moisture out, there is not a lot of thermal retention in your product.

I'd say negligible.

particles can get down through the screen in the bottom of the herb chamber and stick to the back inside of the view screen especially if you blow air in to clean it out.

I blow the dust out of the herb chamber too and have some little particles in there stuck on the screen but it is not to bad. blowing air in through the holes on the case of the unit could help dis lodge the particles on the screen and trapped particles inside the unit, haven't tried personally but seems like it could work. maybe hold the unit with the air screen surround positioned downward and blow...

My understanding is that freezing is not good for your herb and can lower its potency. I was always instructed to keep it in a glass jar in the fridge.

Don't want to start an argument here about which is the best way. Just offering my 2 cents worth...

I never heard much about freezing herb either. Anyone else?
it freezes and busts the trichomes off of the plant surface but would otherwise preserve the herb long term. if you plan to make bubble hash then the freezer is an invaluable asset but every day storage is better in a cool dark low humidity environment kept above freezing temps.

Ah, OK. Thank you for the explanation.

Have any of you come up with a way of keeping the heating chamber clean? I'm trying to find a Pinnacle Pro bullet-like capsule that will fit...

Hi Friends, this is my first post, i´m from Brazil, nice to meet you guys

so me and my friend got each one a DV and both devices when charging, the battery indicator never stops blinking, the question is, does it stops charging but keeps blinking or it never stops charging? because if stops charging i won´t ask warranty, i´m concerned if the battery life can be damaged

thank you

your battery needs breaking in and will gain strength as you use it and charge it over time. just don't let it discharge to much before giving it a fresh charge.

I agree with that, this seems a common experience with owners. My guess is it's tied up in the fact that there's three cells in series in the battery? I don't know of any other vape with more than two. I can see if one of the three was lower than the others, 'eternal charging' could happen. Over a dozen cycles or more that should disappear.....as it seems to do for most guys.

FWIW I find the little gauge crude (few steps) and unstable (you 'loose a bar' with heater cycling.....), a guideline at best sometimes.

Best wishes.
