Regardless, I'm getting one for my herb once I get funding for a solo! That and an SCS grinder are on my to buy list. BTW what's shipping cost to San Diego like?

Around $3.00 but depends on home many you order. Thanks for your interest in JyARz.

GSG: Your collection is impressive!

I think I will start collecting these guys.

The size is perfect for my Vaporizers!

Nice photos, appreciate you taking the time to post.
Thanks Aldo,

Got my pack in the mail today...

Full compliment of JyARz in my household now :D

Looking forward to the future sizes you have in the works @JyARz

EDIT//
My Granny Apple Green one has a different gasket at the bottom than the rest...it is white and lifts up when I pull the glass insert out. The other gaskets are more of a "natural" colour and stay put.

No biggie really just wondered why the difference?

I'm going with a silicone gasket in the base now rather than latex. No oder and is more resilient than latex. About the same cost so I made the switch.

Soon we'll be switching all cap gaskets to FDA food safe Nitrile rubber. Performs as well as latex with little or no smell associated with it.

And so appreciate your buying the full "lot"!

Nope. But its only been one business day so I was going to give it another day or so before thinking about any next steps. Make sense to you?

I would like a little squat one for concentrate.

On the way. What i think may be the final proto is being made tomorrow. If all goes well (famous last words) we'll start creating the production mold in a few weeks. There are some innovations with this size so we'll likely see a patent for this design as well. It's a pretty sweet little JyAR if I do say so myself...very excited about it.

Okay, so I've had a little under a week or so to play with my Jyar. Ordered a single black unit to test out and so far so good! The jyar is smaller than I expected, being literally the size of two film canisters, stacked on top of each other... but thats including the plastic outer shell. Look inside and the glass vial which contains your flowers is even smaller.

Still, I was able to put a 1/8 of ground flower in it with some room to spare. And thats completely loose, not packed down at all. I'm sure I could fit almost a full quarter if I really tried. I wouldn't want to though, because as is, I can just stick my Solo stem in there and pull out a near perfect loaded bowl. Also the size makes it very stealth. You can have it in your pocket without any undue bulges, etc... which is nice for people on the go.

On the downside, however, the size makes it not ideal for storing nugs. If you had some fluffy herb I could see maybe 1g fitting in there without smooshing things in. Sadly, this is something Id like to store with these but its not really an option given its limited volume. The TLDR of that is WE NEED LARGER JYARZ (yes, I know they are working on it)!

Also, I found a slight issue when removing the glass from the plastic sleeve. I had about 1/4 of the glass filled with finely ground herb. As I removed the glass, static electricity caused some of my herb to jump around inside the glass and even out of the jyar! No bueno. Anyway, its a minimal gripe and it only happened that one time... however I thought people should be made aware of that potential problem.

All in all I give these an 8.5/10. I'm sure that will change once there are more sizes/types available. That being said, ill be buying at least 2 more of these so I can keep different strains on hand when I go out.

Thanks for the detailed review. I'm aiming for "insanely great" so please stay tuned, I think the new stuff we're coming out with (and I'm just getting started...have all kinds of ideas for new products) will gain your unmitigated support.

Now that I'm thinking about it (and looking at it)... Anything you can do to reduce the static charge that holds crumbs up at the lip of the glass (and eventually onto the threading of the plastic sleeve) would be appreciated!

That's a new one. Do you live in a particularly dry place? I'm not trying to tag it on you..just trying to understand why this is happening...first I've heard of such an issue.

Cal, you live in a dry climate so it is going to happen. I have tried everything ffs I even spray static guard on my dogs brush. Just be careful and push the crumbs back in. It is just the unfortunate part of dry weather. I haven't found any material I don't get static from.

Jyarz, I thought I told you that was my concern...maybe I was talking to a member about it. It is bad with most materials.

Actually its not typically very dry... but now that you mention it, it has been extremely dry over the past few days due to weather conditions originating in the desert areas (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santa_Ana_winds).

This happens a few times a year here and my skin HATES it. Its dry and itchy as shit right now.

I could fly you to Northern California, that would take care of it! That would require a price increase though...
