I mean, conservation is not and never will be my '#1 priority', but when entering the vape world one of the benefits that drew me to it WAS that you saved bud. If the Plenty just throws that benefit out the window, well, it deserves some pondering. I also wonder how much it is being blown out of proportion. I would be proactive about trying to conserve, so hopefully it all works out I suppose.

I also do find it kind of strange that some of these vapes threads have over 200 pages to them, and this one has...14? Seems this is the red-headed step child of the vape world.
Buddy it just isn't fancy enough for the nerds. I have the plenty. I love it. However it may not be the vape for you. I use anywhere from .25 to .5 but it performs very well. Most nerds prefer something with more bells and whistles.

Well, it came yesterday. My mother was over babysitting, than after the kids went to sleep I had a bunch of other stuff to do. I decided I am sticking with it and am excited to get home after work and begin learning about this crazy contraption. Hopefully my oz. lasts about (give or take) how long it would usually last while smoking it....

Wish me luck!

If you just want to do one or two sessions a day an ounce will easily last you a month into two, one session a day it'll definitely last you two+ months. With extra effort you can stretch further of course.

Well, I have been thoroughly enjoying my new Plenty. It is my first vaporizer (I know, jump right in why don't I?), and am very pleased. So far I can see where people say a fully packed piece hits better than with the smoke screen thing, but I think it is drastically over-stated.

My question for anyone that uses this with a bong. I would love to get into this, but I do not own a bong...yet. Is there a certain bong I should be looking for? Is there a special attachment type thing that will make it all work nicely or what? I can't imagine just holding my plenty over the bowl piece that usually contains flowers and duct taping it there, lol? Not sure how to get it to work and before I go shopping for bongs I want to fully understand the situation.

Lastly, where is a good place for bongs online?

I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too
Hello everybody peeps,

After 6 blissful months my Plenty has decided to lose 80% performance and I'm really not sure whats wrong with it.

Using the same botanicals a fully loaded bowl has gone from almost a whole evenings session to 3 or 4 hits. :-(
Then I just get hot air.

The disgaurded vape material is noticably greener and it seems to heat up as usual. I have completly cleaned it using Dr Greens cleaner and changed the screens and still its not cracking it.

Also have tried packing looser and or tighter and playing with temps.

Please can one of u boffins help me!!!!!

p.s. sorry if I have posted this in the wrong thread.

Maybe get in touch with Storz & Bickle? The makers I hear have a good warranty? I am not sure.

Has anyone successfully adapted the Plenty to work with water devices, ala LSV?

Am about to buy a Plenty and have exactly the same question! :)

Since you have both the plenty and the LSV could you tell me how they compare in direct draw?

I've never once tried to mate the Plenty with water, the flavor and potency when hit directly with the cooling coil has never left me wanting to moisturize the experience...

But to entertain the questions I just tried with amazingly simple results! To mate the Plenty with a 14mm connection, simply remove the mouthpiece from the cooling coil, leaving the silicone piece attached to the cooling coil, then insert the plenty upside down and BAM! perfect fit. For 18mm, simply remove the cooling coil from the herb chamber and insert the plenty upside down

For the record though I still plan to only use this unit dry, the cooling coil is absolutely perfect at what it does!

Hey thanks for trying it out. However, I was hoping to not use the cooling coil while using with a water tool. I'd prefer to get warmer vapor into my water tool.

Draw rate is comparable...both allow you to breathe normally. Vapors are a bit warm with the LSV, when using the included transfer wand, the cooling tube on the Plenty works far better at cooling. The Plenty also doesn't get hot due to the shutoff mechanism.

Hey thanks for the info. In my corner of the globe I have realized I need higher temperatures to vaporize my herbs well. For example, the Thermovape T1 does not work for me at all while it works great for a lot of folks here. A few pages earlier in this thread I read of a few users complaining that they dont get enough vapor or temperature from the device. I like the build, design and the whip of the plenty over the LSV but am worried of making an investment that falls flat.

So would you say that the LSV can reach higher temperatures and hit harder than the Plenty?

You can definitely go too high in the LSV. I have never wanted the plenty to hit harder. The LSV, however, far more versatile, but with a hose and a fitting or two, you could rig the Plenty a few different ways for sure.

It's sad really. All of the other vaporizers on FC have a lot of posts and big discussions. This thread made me paranoid to get the Plenty and almost made me believe I would have the feeling that I wasted my money on it. I'm glad I researched it on YouTube and found vapecritic.com

He had nothing but nice things to say about the Plenty and he also influenced my other two vaporizer choices (MFLB & Pax). I went ahead and ordered the Plenty and received it yesterday and so far I am in love with it.

The thing that has been making people afraid of buying the Plenty was the large amounts it takes. Everyone, the liquid pad works, and it works well! The point is to cover the bottom screen entirely which can easily be done with between .2-.3g of herb. This is assuming that you actually finely grind your herb because that is how most vaporizers work best. I have a nano grinder so all I do when I want to have a solo session is fully cover the bottom screen with herb and place the liquid screen on top. My draws are great. I see a lot of visible vapor by the 3rd hit. It's amazing how the first 2 hits are full of flavor but no visible vapor is shown.

Obviously this vape is great for sessions with 3-4 friends since it can hold large amounts. Also (based on videos I watched on YouTube) this vape can take oils & waxes.

Maybe I should be happy that I got a really great unit. I would go as far of calling this vaporizer perfect for needs which are:
-Being able to hold both small & large amounts of herb
-Stays clean
-Easy to clean (you can just buy new pieces from their website with free shipping or soak materials in >90% alcohol)
-Ease of use (I watched a 3 minute video and knew how to use it easily)
-A lot of vapor
-Cool vapor (that cooling coil really works wonders)
-ABV (never burnt, the end result is always a nice dark brown)

My only con would be that this unit is not portable, but I'm fine with that. I would definitely be interested in buying a Storz & Bickel portable vape if they ever made one. I mean I knew this vape would be good since it was made by the same company that made the Volcano which I suppose is one of the best, if not the best vaporizer out there.

I normally use mines on 6 and the average amount of herb I use at a time is .3g. This is my procedure: First, pack the chamber. Then attach it to the vape, set the temp dial to 6, and turn the vape on. Once the vape reaches the max temp and the heater first clicks off that's when I start vaping.

I just had to make this post to share my positive experience with the Plenty. I love it so far and I am happy with my purchase!

Nice review! I agree, this site's lack of interest in the Plenty had me scared as well, but I could not be happier with my first vape choice. I actually do something similar to you with how I pack it and use the space saver disc, however, I use it to get medicated around 3 to 5 times each pack. I will pack it fresh WITH the disc in there, take 3-5 hits at 6 setting, pull off the whole attachment to let the herb cool down while taking one or two more hits while cooling. I repeat this a few times, by the 3rd of 4th 'session' I am setting the dial at 7 to get everything I can, than finally dump and start fresh.

That being said, it does take a bit to heat up, and with kids I will turn it on, walk away and find myself unable to return (changing a diaper, getting a snack for a kid, kissing a bump, playing with kid) until it already cooled down again wasting a bit of herb. I am learning ways around this, but it's something to consider.

Thanks! You're right. Another thing is that it continues to vape without you drawing from it. So it's pretty much meant for a continuous session.

Are you saying that that's a good thing?

No! I'm saying that would be a con it has. It would be cool if it only let vapor out when you took a draw but I believe that would ad some restriction, not sure.

You don't like the Plenty?

Never used one, but the size of that "bowl' is a real turn-off for me. You said in your review that "The point is to cover the bottom screen entirely which can easily be done with between .2-.3g of herb." That is 6 to 12 times the amount that I like to load up my vapes with and as such, would suffer dramatically in the efficiency department as compared to other vapes on the market. That lack of efficiency would be a deal breaker for me.

That, and I really don't want something that looks like a Black & Decker power tool sitting on my coffee table. Also, I much prefer an all glass air and vapor path as well as not wanting a vaporizer that is constantly vaping between hits.

So yeah, even though I've never used one, I don't think the Plenty would ever be on my wish-list for vaporizers.

Also, while you may really like the Volcano and it is no doubt, an excellent vape, it is NOT the best vape on the market, as you suggest. There are many people here who own one and the only time they take it down from the shelf is when they have a party going on. Great bag vape though, but I as well as many others do not like sucking on plastic bags to get their vapor.
