For all that may have misinterpreted this... I thank you for clarification, Kief.
I did not say SS... or Stainless Steel.
I refered to my clean silver colored Space Case as having stainless surface, to doubly amplify my low opinion of the Titanium Coating, whose only real attribute that could honestly be claimed was that it keeps grinder from getting marred. My plain old space case does not require a coating is what I am saying.. in that it is a stainless surface.
aluminum is a very soft metal and over time, the hard stems can dent the sharp edges of the teeth. These dents or folded aluminum can possibly flake off at some time in the future. one solution is to anodize the aluminum. Depending on the process, the anodizing can be very hard a durable. The SCS has a very thick anodizing and should last a long time. Others, such as the Cali Crusher has just a thin anodizing and does wear off.
Titanium is a very hard metal, but tends to scratch and have small particles flake when grinding. With the Ti Space Case, the Ti plating will come off; just look at yours with an eye-loop and you will see all the fine scratches.
My choice in materials would be 316L Stainless Steel. It is extremely hard and heals itself when scratched, maintaining the stainless properties of corrosion resistance. It would be much more time consuming to machine, but would last a lifetime. It would be considerably heavier, but I wouldn't mind. No metal ever in your herb. To me, it would be worth the extra cost.
It would be cool if the Santa Cruz Shredder was offered in a stainless steel version..

Quite honestly, I wonder about the actual risk of chipped aluminum getting into your herb. Whats the potential hazard? The metal sure isn't going to get hot enough to melt or give off any vapor at even the highest temps that we see people using vapes @.
Possibly suck some of it up in the air pathway? Perhaps, but has anyone actually experienced or even heard of this being an issue for anyone, ever? World wide, the number of people using metal grinders must be staggering, and this has been going on for how many decades? I would think that some anecdotal evidence pointing to a real issue would have raised its head here long ago if this was a major issue...
...Then again maybe we will all get cancer from this 50 years from now. Shit, how long was asbestos used in all sort of stuff before they figured out its bad for us to be around?

Hey Guys. There is a new herb grinder that I found that seems really promising. I'm new to the forums, so sorry for the bad format on the posting. Really nice grinder and at a great pricing. The teeths look similar to the SCS. Here's a link to their website. Below is a picture that tells you how it differentiates from other grinders.

Update, after more use, I have to say that this thing is butter to touch. I only use this grinder now, the feel is just so perfect. Luckily, most of my flowers for this batch are pretty dry, so the grind, while still not Space Case fine, is plenty.
It still "shreds and fluffs" more than anything, I had a leafy Lebonese Love grind I did last night that ended up very fluffy.
But HOLY AWESOME is the touch and feel of this grinder just too perfect for my hands. The grip, the flattened top and bottom, the way the screen/collection is slanted.. even that is super convenient for dumping out the grind. The screen might have holes that are bigger than other screens, so if you only want pure super-fine kief, maybe a no no here. Personally I love how easily it collects the kief and how quick and elegant it is to just lift off the drum-head screen.
Yeah I think you can just take the screen out, BUT the screen has the nice slanted collection wall so without the screen I don't think it would be as nice.
Upside down doesn't help. There is no getting a fine powdered grind with the Sharp Shreddar unless the herb is super dry (at which point, crumbling with bare hands would be enough)
So basically because of the ergonomics, sexiness, ease of use and elegant design, this is now my #1 go-to grinder. The tooth design is a flaw for those seeking fine grind. I've fallen in love with this thing. My hands especially.
But if feel, ergonomics and kief collection matter to you, this might be one to check out.
Honestly, for $35.. that's a pretty low price for this IMO. If I had dropped $80-$100 I would be more disappointed with the teeth.

. My new batch of CO2 Cherry Pie taffy kinda Indica'd me hard so I didn't remember to bring my iphone to snap shots 
my Space Case is very small and silver colored, the Super Sharp is black and big, so the comparison will be hard to see.In general, I would say the Space Case has a finer screen and thus finer kief, but also takes way longer to collect.
The SuperSharp seemed to collect kief very fast, and it comes with a tiny plastic spatula for collecting. Obviously the finer the screen, the finder more real the 'kief' is but I'm not going to press it or anything, I just save it and use it later.

You can see a little bit how some of the grind is still leafy. Tried the upside down grind style again, don't like it as the kief collects in the top piece corners.

I've had my large 2 pc space case for years and LOVE IT!
It does, however flake metal sometimes... I do grind it a lot and smash the sides to get all of the bud into a corner, but it takes a beating, and is really well made.
Air tight, and can hold over an 8th at a time NO PROBLEM.
I recommend it for 30$ for sure!

I wanted to pick up a Sharp Shredda But can't contact the company or purchase one on amazon, Seems they're already gone.
sucks, they are completely removed from Amazon too... maybe they had to close down. Tough business to be in trying to sell durable, metal goods to a niche that only needs 1 of the devices and expects it to last 30+ years.
The SSG may not grind into fine powder, but as you can see it is boss for kief collecting and really easy on the hands

Yeah It does suck. Wanted to pick one up because the neuropathy in my hands has gotten much worse in the last month or so. I may have to go with a crank or electric grinder but I didn't want to go that route. I did see a Phone # but have to get my hands on a phone that I can call long distance My silly Tracphone won't do long Distance.

Absolutely love it. I do wish the bottom piece had some texture on it for better grip however.

Bit late into this thread, and a bit off topic, but does anyone else really dislike magnets in grinders?
There's really no need for them, I've never had a problem with my grinder coming apart? And it just gets in the way of grinding for me.
Also an issue with them, the magnets on my current 4pc are starting to rust a bit, I wiped them a bit and powerised iron oxide came off on my finger :/ Anyone else had this? I'll try get a pic

I like the magnets.
The post in center must be avoided, but that post has teeth as well, and do not leave an empty space.
Grinders do come apart at inconvenient times, and I am glad for you that yours have not yet provided you with this inconvenience.
Some makers have a choice of magnets or none!
Your magnet may not be rusting. There may just be a collection of debris attached to it.
That spot does take pressure!.. try using Iso (91%) and rubbing it on that spot with q-tip.
then use a sharp tool or needle and agitate that area.
If you are using a Space Case, SCS or another quality tool there should be no Iron Oxide... as the magnets themselves are "encased" with the exposed portion glazed.
Try the cleaning technique I mentioned.
I thought my tiny MFLB OEM grinder's magnet was rusting.. and after the traditional 6 month Iso bath for all grinders, I found out that there was never rust, just rust colored "debris"
