You cannot compare the Solo to the Pax - they operate completely differently. The Pax uses conduction heating to heat your tobacco / herbals whereas the Solo uses convection heating. The results are very different. Conduction heating breaks down plant material quickly, causing a thick vapor due to the higher concentrations of tar and carcinogens, but it is not healthy or flavorful vapor. Convection heating allows the tobacco / herbals to heat slowly and evenly, creating a smooth, flavorful, and efficacious vapor that contains the least amount of tar / carcinogens possible.
I dont mind that they recognize how different the Pax is but it's a low blow to imply it's "unhealthy"

Yeah that blurb is very obvious marketing speak full of hyperbole, fear mongering, etc....

Tars, carcinogens and unhealthy vapor oh my! It's also not completely truthful about how the Solo works either, to call it a pure convection vape is just not true, and IMO the solo actually benefits from having some radiation heating and conduction as well as convection. Not to mention the "slowly and evenly" bit is just false with regards to the Solo. It never heats evenly, as this is impossible due the way the stems hold the material. It's borderline outright trolling lol.

I post way too much!
Sorry friends,
ataxian

I have a few vaporizers however this little guy I keep using everyday!
With a PA even cordless.
I use level 4 for WET or DRY.

I have 2 of them and they kick A@@!

The thought to a $800 vaporizer is like a $800 blow dryer.!!
OK I'm full of it!
It's just that for $160 or less you can medicate nicely!
My first one was $300 and is now 2 years old!
It has more than paid for its self since!

Yeah man, the Solo has to be the best value vape I've purchased yet. While I can get slightly thicker hits from my modded SSV, the Solo has such great vapor quality and is so portable that I've packed up the former and have purely been using the Solo as my daily driver recently. Nothing like laying in bed and taking a phat rip from a frozen J-hook/sherlock. I like clouds and sedative effects so I almost exclusively vape on 7. An amazing vape, amazing value, a new favourite.

In their defense they offered to warranty replace it (if it failed their inspection)

Honestly I think I've got it working about as well as I could , but I guess my tolerance is ridiculous since the Dabbler/Dr. Dabbler :D I'm afraid to see what happens to it when I use a Cloud :whoa:

I just got my mini bubbler tube from glassblowersdirect. This thing is really impressive! looks like there's 10 holes in the diffuser. I have never seen an f-bomb or a PN WT in person before but i would be verrry surprised if either of them surpassed what I just received in terms of quality. Has anyone weighed the f-bomb? i'm curious which one is heavier.

I wish they would ship overseas.....

106. it's not 100% dry, but i shook it out for quite a while. it's just under 5.5". OD is about 1.25"

This one's basically the same size physically, and just a little lighter then? IMO not enough difference to worry about.

Thanks.

The AIO PA's are done and take PMs for adoption.
The cradles are getting close, however, do have a couple for PA venturers. O ring included complimentary along with a 5/8" spare screen.
PM if interested.
Can't wait...the 3d printed dock is too cumbersome for PA, but fine for charging.

I love the PA it has been used constantly since receiving it :D

The f-BOMB supposedly is not MIC and is 2.6mm thick glass. For such a tiny piece, it really feels and looks well made. It certainly functions very well.

Although in general, I would say after extensive testing, the latest SOLO model seems to function best with a dense pack and honking on the tube. When I say "best" I mean clouds not pure efficiency.

I get a similar "not quite done ABV, not very thick cloud" experience if I use loosely packed, small load of flowers only.

When I make a concentrate sammich, the f-Bomb doesn't have enough water and diffusion to cool down the huge thick clouds. Taffy/honey seems to work best in my SOLO compared to glass or bubble. I always cover the taffy in grind.

I havent cleaned the stainless steel bowl on this solo yet (month or so of use) and I can start to see some build up and smell most likely from dripping concentrates. But TBPH I kinda like that smell.

Here is a pic of the type of selections I've been playing with. Some are good to go (the dark grey ones) some have been re-worked and some and need more(semi-transparent). Couple are fresh from cast and need re-work. (pastels) Most are salvageable.
Unfortunately I hit a snag in the supplies I've been using. Have found that the Micheal's from where I get the resin's hardeners have old stock and shelf life expired. (even though it is not dated) The stuff never wants to completely harden forcing me to use after sprays to harden and thus reworking. Ugg.
Also making my moulds go bad. This is the real pita.
Going to have to source out a better supplier.

I also want to be clear that these bases have a 2.1 power input connector and will not work with the OEM power stuff. However, there is package out there somewhere, heading my way that have the 1.7 female connectors.

Love the semi-transparent ones, shame about the supply problems. Hope you can sort them out, I am sure you will have a lot of interest in these!

Seems silly that you can't buy OEM ones really, but then it has provided great opportunities for after market accessory makers like yourself to come up with some great designs :D

Pipes is there a connector piece that can change the big male thingy to the smaller oem one or does it have to be a whole new piece?

I have looked but to no joy. Wrong way around as would be going from a lesser rated connector to a better rated one so makes harder to find.

Well that sucks the big one but you tried:clap:. That makes tons of sense though cause lower to higher doesn't normally work in anything.
