I don't get what's going on with people's ELB's. In three years the only one I have had crap out on me was the one I stepped on.
Yep...
I have only CRUSHED one of 12 since last March (you know me :D) the one that crapped out on me opened up in the middle on the seam. :uhoh:

Does seem like SPENDY shipping tho!

Almost there...
I order stuff from the Far East too and most times it is free shipping.
Last thing i ordered from there cost $20 and free shipping!

Canada seems to be no mans shipping land...

I shipped a PD recently to Canada for around $15...that's got to be a couple of pounds. I'll bet USPS to Canada for as many as 50 ELB's is not more than several dollars.

stickstones,
Yea they must of fixed it @CentiZen because like $30+ is what is was before to ship to me and now its only $9. I just sent a vape to Canada and it was only like $8 from here. Although that wasn't the 2 day shipping they have on there. That was for shipping without insurance/tracking and what not which I doubt VXL would do.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong then :(

Almost there...
Just checked on the VapeXHale site and shipping is $28.25 to Canada!!
For 4 tiny ELB's that is too much...

I found the same info as @CentiZen
Total to ship 4 ELB's to Canada is $50

With all this talk of shipping, I must say, when I came the checkout page I was quite surprised to see the Cloud EVO international shipping charge is $70. Seems a bit steep and I have lots of experience of receiving packages from the US and Canada.

But I am happy paying it if the unit lives up to the hype :D

Ive been away for a while on a TB so it sure seems like Ive missed something. My OG Cloud worked fine when I put it away for my TB (And still under warranty), I got it out after it spending 3 months in a padded hard case and it never turns green.. just stays red... it heats up and heats up but never turns green. Im guessing at this point Im SOL? I PM'd SM55 and he hasnt responded. I also opened up a trouble ticket on their site and havent gotten a response.

What did I miss? Ive read back about 20 pages but this thread is so huge, its like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

I am not sure which thread to post this in but after reading the sub thread I wonder why the overall consensus is that the cloud wins for taste but sub wins for smoothness. It seems that pure convection would both taste better and be smoother but yet it seems that is not the case. I don't have a sub so I felt I should post here first. I noticed my solo which also is conduction based seems to make me cough less but I just assumed it was because of the slow draw and I was not getting as strong of a hit. The hits always snuck up on me but never the knock me down like the cloud. It takes me four hits to empty a half filled elb and I can easily take too big of a hit and I am coughing like crazy. People in the sub forums can take bigger hits than with the cloud with less irritation.

Any thoughts as to why the cloud is generally considered less smooth than the sub? Is it something about convection being less smooth or could it be the stainless steel mesh of the ELB somehow lowers the smoothness? Is there a better place to discuss this? I am really focused on just making my cloud the best it can be. I wonder if there is anything different about the EVO that would change the taste or smoothness for the better over the current cloud.

In honor of page 710 I will be packing a huge double cap of oil while I watch tonights new It's always sunny. Such a massive thread, looking forward to the EVO thread! Fresh start for us and you.

I've read every page of both threads and this journey has been interesting to say the least. Thanks Team VXL for everything you guys have done and continue to do. Looking forward to October, but don't rush perfection. ;)

Just got done with my second Sublimator session . . . the Cloud tastes better because its mainly glass (if you can really taste an ELB more power to you) and the Sublimator is a huge hot piece of metal with lots of conduction going on. The reason the Sublimator is so smooth is because of the heated down-stem. It acts similar to a fractional condensation column so the harsher (larger) droplets condense first, making a lot of oil and smoothing out the hit.

There is no doubt the hits from the sub are smooth, but, I have yet to have them rival the density and power of the Cloud . . . there is just an "airiness" on the sub that I can't account for yet . . . but I am still trying to test as often as I can visit it . . . I also feel the sub is a fire hazard, burn hazard, glass break hazard, possible electrocution hazard, pet hazard, and child hazard, but its ok, whatever fits your lifestyle I guess. I really see the difference being oil vs flower users. The sub is awesome with the way it does dibs and the sublimate it produces is impressive. As you guys know, I'm not a fan of reclaim, or difficult maintenance, so you can see the sub wouldn't quite fit my lifestyle . . . :)

No Problem :)~ It's possible you got a response and it its stuck in your spam filter. We use Desk.com so responses are viewed as server generated emails. Many web-clients and some software clients flag that as spam.

If you don't see anything in your spam go ahead and submit another ticket, and if you here no response in 24 hours PM me and we will figure out where the disconnect is!

Happy Vaping All, the team in PA is burning the midnight oil here to get the EVO out!

I had to wikipedia this to figure out what the hell you were talking about :) I learned something new. Thanks for that! This explanation does make a lot of sense and it explains the massive amounts of reclaim that people are getting from sub sessions. It also would explain why people can rip an entire hit in just one big breath vs 2 or 3 for the cloud. Now for the same amount of herb it seems that someone using a cloud would get to a higher state vs the sub but from reading the sub thread it seems people are getting just as high and getting the reclaim.

I agree with your assessment about the Sub being more risky to use because of the exposed hot metal especially when you are subbed. I have no interest in Sublimator 1.0 due to these risks alone and the cost is too high IMHO but I would be open to an updated design at some point that addresses some of the concerns of the forum. I cough super easy so have to really be gentle about my hits so the smoothness of the Sub is the only thing that intrigues me.

I wonder if finding a way to filter out those bigger harsher droplets with the cloud would give the same smoothness as the sub but with the taste of the cloud. I have been following the "vaping with cotton" thread (T-dub there as well) and there has been a lot of discussion about using degummed hemp fiber to filter the hits first. I am wondering if this would smooth out the hit in the same way as the sub? The hemb fiber might catch those bigger harsher droplets and allow the smooth vapor to flow through. The bigger droplets would condense on the hemp fiber which could be vaped later and it would keep your glass cleaner.
