Discontinued Pinnacle Pro

I have been following this thread for awhile and am borderline between this and a Pax. I seem to like everything I read about the PPro but my preference of wanting a long battery life is perhaps the deal breaker. What do you feel about the battery life on a mid to hi setting? How many possible 5-10 minute sessions? Also how much plant can the bullet hold, best case? Thanks in advance!

I'm sorry, I can't really help you much on these questions as I only had mine for 2 days before having to send it back (faulty unit). My replacement was supposed to arrive yesterday but the USPS delivery driver is incompetent. Pretty sure I've heard that a bullet can hold around .15g.

im pretty sure someone said its same size as the solo bowl, so if you pack it tight itll be like a .3 and .15 if loosely filled.

I have found that the pp prefers a loose fill, both the draw and the extraction suffer when the bullet is packed.

I found an old case that works very well with the pp/ht:

I'm pretty sure that this will be hard to find however. I believe it's for the original apple isight firewire camera which has been obsolete for almost a decade now.

The fit/thickness is perfect, to the point that I don't want to put the bullets (or the stand/adapter) in the pockets opposite the gears. Anybody know where I can get a smaller plastic tube?

edit: I found a half-dozen 13mm x 75mm tubes on the bay, should be about right

Do you have any types of caps on those bullets? I was thinking plain old tin foil might work

No, but if I put a small glass stem from something else in the tube as a spacer it almost fits the above tube perfectly, would need about one more oil cup to be snug. So I should be able to make good use of the smaller ones I ordered. The one pictured is probably 16mm x 100mm.

I've been using a piece of Saran Wrap to hold a pre-loaded Solo stem when on the go .
Would that work for the Bullets in the tube ?

If I can keep them snug in there, I will not need anything else.

edit: And now they are. I filled the cap with a bit of bubble wrap, and now with the glass spacer the pictured bullets are totally snug. Nothing will spill, and a built-in way to hold onto the avb.

My experience with the O.G. Pn seems relevant to me, hopefully you guys agree

I use a "blunt tube" with 3 bullets topped with the silicone stoppers Toros posted in the og pn thread and one bullet loaded in the pn.

I run 2 sessions on each bullet and on my final bullet I can run it once. So I load up my bullets once and they last longer than the battery.

When on the move I just dump the bullet into the cup holder or on my clipboard and swap in one from the blunt tube.

In a hurry I will put the used bullets in the tube and empty the avb bullets later.
Most of the time because the bullets cool quickly when out of the unit, right after switching in the new bullet I will either hold the bullet out the window to blow out avb or tap it out on the door and put it in the tube.

Imo You just can't beat quick swapping a bullet in. Loading and unloading the unit directly would make this thing a chore to use imo.
I left my bullet tube at a friends and only had 1 bullet for a week, it was inconvenient enough that I started combusting again .

I iso soak my mp and bullets for a short time and rinse with water, I also use q tips with iso to clean the pn.

When I clean the unit itself I dont clean the top with the ridges the mp attatches to because it gets a build up that makes the mp fit tighter and tighter. It will get so tight fitting that eventually I clean that part in fear of the Mp breaking it fits so tight.

My W.T. does not have a defect and sometimes when I fill it I can get a siphon effect that causes it to drain out the bottom of the wt .
It doesn't do it all the time but a quick draw on the wt puts the bubble back where it needs to be, if you notice while it is doing it the upside down jar part of the perc wont have the bubble there it needs to keep it from gravity feeding and causing a siphon effect to pull the water down to the level of the slits. This only happens when filling the w.t.

Also I fill my wt to the middle of the C in pinnacle.

I wonder if it would be possible for the people at VB to make an all glass bullet .. Maybe honeycomb the bottom or something and call it the pro bullet .. Regardless I think the people at VB did a great job with this. It was affordable and it does its job pretty damn well.

Ok I pulled the trigger on the pro so I shall soon see first hand if it lives up to all the great reviews. Thanks FC folks.

EDIT:
I paid the extra 5 bux for shipping. Is it actually faster?

An all glass bullet would be nice but I don't think it would be very practical, what I'd like to see is an all screen bullet. I've been checking this thread/ refreshing the usps tracking page an obsessive amount waiting for this unit, anyone feel like posting some videos to help me with the wait :p

I too would like an all screen bullet if they cannot do an all glass one. I think this thing would turn into a heavy hitter with an all screen bullet.

I haven't seen a pro up close but if the bullets are anything like the original an all screen bullet would probably make a mess with really sticky stuff

I found the original bullet a tight fit in the original PN. I think an all screen would lead to gumming up and make it more difficult to pull out unless its still hot. And that leads to hot fingers :)

hey guys after spending 2 hours on the ascent and this thread i think i made my choice... plus the 20% code is too good to pass up!

I noticed living in Canada from the vaporblunt website i'm forced to pay $5 for shipping which I don't mind, what I'm concerned with is that did you Canadians had to pay for duty as well? if so how much was it, if not a portable vape for 200$ sounds like a dream come true!

Hi,
my PN broke yesterday. It fell on hard pavement in the street, the bottom plastic is broken. It is still working, but does not look very nice, so i have a good excuse for buying a pro.

I'd like to know how the pong is enduring hard use...maybe someone has already tried to clean it...TIA

Can anyone share what cases they are using to store the pro, wt, or both? Also, is there a cap or plug that someone had found that fits the bullets so that we can pack a spare and not have it spill out? What about something to store and protect an extra bullet when you have it in your pocket?

I ordered something similar to this: http://www.amazon.com/Pelican-1200-...8&qid=1379348769&sr=1-2&keywords=pelican+case

You can lay out all the components you want to fit in the case, pluck the foam and you're good to go. It's airtight, so there is little if any smell, and the case is heavy duty and protective for drops. I let the hydrotube dry out before putting it in the case though - I'm sure you can get plugs for the ends of the hydrotube if you need, somebody posted something about it at some point.

Duty will always be hit or miss. If you get hit with it, probably looking at around $20-$30.

So last night we tried some hash at level five, works great. Seemed to give hits forever on a hand-fluffed 2/3-full oil cup, all that was left was some small pieces of charcoal. Went back out the ruins of the campfire this morning and found my missing pong that I couldn't find with the flashlight, all is good. Except my test tube order got canceled, I wonder if I have any small cigar tubes laying around.

Just got my pro and wt, it's charging now. Got a clear pong (in wt box) and black pong (w/ pro) and the clear one feels like it snaps on better. It is flawless with no cosmetic issues. Started my charge at 11:30AM,est and can't wait to use this with some GTA V tonight

Interesting, can anyone else with both pong adapters confirm if one fits better than the other? I personally plan on keeping the adapter on at all times as it's more convenient to use with a WT without having to carry around additional pieces.

I use pill containers for storing the packed bullets. You can do an Amazon search for "small pill holder" to find them. You can get six for $5.50 with free shipping. If you don't want the bullet to move in the container, pack the container cap with something flush with the end of the threads. I packed mine with Instamorph to make a solid plug. The result is a container that perfectly holds the bullet.
