Seriously, I have a circ Hydratube. Guess what? Never used it.

Not with all of the SGs and Toros laying around here. Muwahahaha!!!

A thousand bucks for some sort of crappy Hydratube?? If anyone buys that, hell they're downright stupid.

You can get an SG Pillar for a grand!!!!
Better watch your comments. There are some here amongst the 17 people who opted for the Nimbus Fanatic level, and you just called 'em stupid. :o And it's not a $1000 HT. It's what comes with the 1k Indiegogo offer, which has other perks.

I did the $1k perk and also the $500 for my brother because I have the means to do so and the feedback on here is very good. I don't take things too personally so I wasn't upset or anything.

Everyone sees that it's a brainless jab because you're not just paying for a hydratube.

However I have no qualms with people saying stuff to push for higher quality glass. lol.

Uh, yeah ya did. Who gets a glass piece and never uses it? One of the only cases I can think of in which you wouldn't is if you were some money-masochistic glass snob. Or if a gift, just a glass snob. If you bought it and did that then you should change your title to the above because that's pretty damn funny.

Gotta agree with you, Pappy. I love using my Cloud with my Mobius, but I always go back to my 'Circ for the majority of each week.

If you've never used your Circ, JJ...think you're missing out on a great way of many to experience the Cloud.:)

"forum appointed glass snob"... kind of like that title!

Anyways, Confucius say water right on top of electrical components no good idea.;)

Anyone with an old ticker cloud ever get a weird smell when they invert the unit over glass? A smell that isn't noticeable when it is used not-inverted with the hydratube?

Hopefully the bamboo just needs a heavy cleaning :nope:

Nope, but I will say this - other than the Supreme, the Cloud is the only vape where I can take a monster rip, hold it in for a few seconds, close my eyes, and nearly black out.

It is the shit!

Great Scott!
I prefer my knockoff matrix bubbler to a hydratube, and my knockoff tree bubbler and knockoff honeycomb bong lol. (writing that makes me sad I can't afford good glass). There is some kind of charm to using the hydratubes though. I do regret selling mine a bit, I still prefer the cloud upside down on other glass, but the hydratubes have their place. All personal preference, but I can see why someone with high end glass might want a high end hydratube to finish the collection.

In a world where Big Data rules, one thing is for certain, when one is building statistical or predictive models, the data input is far more important than the model being used. Crap data in equals crap data out. For me, whether it is a HydraTube, SG Pillar, Mobius, or a simple glass bong with a standard downstem, what is most important is the input, the Cloud.

Do I like using more expensive pieces? Of course! But if I were given the choice of vaping through an expensive piece but with a different vaporizer or using the Cloud with a simple piece, I'd opt for the Cloud everyday of the week. What I'm trying to say here is that we all have our preferences, use whatever you like or can afford.

I think everyone needs to just take a a big rip and just relax a little. I don't fault anyone for wanting to make sure that we launch on time I can tell you that we are testing units and just smoothing out the rough edges. As with anything, nothing comes out perfect on the first try so there is some fine tuning that is happening with some of the fit and finish of the parts. We're still tracking for an October release although we haven't pin pointed a date yet. The release date will be official once we give final approval on a few different pieces like grommets, screens, and the such.

I'm glad to hear that everything is being fine tuned. I much prefer to have a unit that is in perfect working condition then having a rushed unit to make the October deadline. Being a long term investment you want something that will last you many good years.

I just gotta' voice my opinion that I love my hydratubes ... and am very anxious for the new one. I did NOT spend the $1k for just a cool hydratube though ... lifetime warranty and beta test privileges are pretty cool too!

Edit: Stupid Nimbus Fanatic and proud of it!

I've been trying to catch up on as much of this thread as possible while we wait for the EVOs to be completed. But I have one question that I haven't seen mentioned, and for obvious reasons is tough to search for.

I have never even seen a Cloud, so forgive me if it's a dumb question :)

Does the Cloud (and the EVO) run the risk of combustion at higher settings on the dial?

The only desktop I have to compare to is Da Buddha, so I'm wondering if it is like that where you need to be mindful at higher settings on the dial, or if it is a vape that cannot combust even at the highest settings.

@SM--I know I was very proud to know my OG Cloud was manufactured in the US(son of a steelworker and grandson of coal miner/steelworker). No offense to non-Americans, but we make SO little here anymore, I do take much pride in supporting something made here. Will the Evo be made in the US? Parts from US?
Best of luck either way!

Best Regards,

It is very hard to combust with the Cloud, but it has been done. If you use the dial within normal ranges, it shouldn't ever be a problem. Once you find your sweet spot, you will most likely never move the dial.

Reports of combustion have been few and far between. I wouldn't worry about it.

I just tried a fully packed dirty ELB at max temp pre-heated 30 minutes.
Still haven't combusted with the cloud!

Dark dark brown ABV

edit:
Just to be fair, people have combusted usually with dirty+thick packed bowls causing a restriction.
Also to be fair, I haven't ever combusted with any vaporizer other than an EasyVape.
But none of my other vapes puts out as thick vapor at a high temperature.

I've combusted with MFLB and EQ.
Iolite is too cold to combust.
VXC when packed and on max it almost feels like combusting (I would swear it did until checking the ELB contents to find it only brown vaped).

well your a little bias lol But I fucking agree with this!!! My cloud is even broken at the moment and I still agree with this!! So for anyone looking in thinking "well of course the creator is praising it", think again. Oh and I like my HT and all my other pieces. But man have I been wanting a Pillar!!! Didn't have the money oh well maybe I'll just get to try it one day :) ?? FC Meet up? ;)

So correct me if I'm wrong but it seems to me that VXH is going to move forword with the evo but what about all the people with clouds that don't work are we abanded? Will we have to wait until some time after the evo launch or is there even a point to fix a flaw so big. I emailed them waited the three months like they said and now I cant get ahold of them. Is this going to be something like sorry for the problems buy our new version evo (cloud 2.0) don't worry we fixed everything now so glad you could buy the beta test cloud.

Those same rules apply to "small data" as well.

I didn't start vaping until recently, I went my whole life either combusting, or not doing anything. So now that we have advanced vaporizing tech, water tools, high quality GonG, am I going to spend my hard earned money on the items I want?
tumblr_mqpplzoH0H1sur8xko1_500.gif

That doesn't mean I don't feel "guilty" about having more than 1 vape and a Fbomb and a Swagger tube. But it's not like I have a pile of hooker corpses to deal with, and I don't do bars and strip clubs, and my girlfriend and I have a pretty open understanding... which is spend your money on whatever the fuck you want as long as it's not Blue candy, hookers, or guns.

So I end up with a pile of videogames I don't have time to play, and more vaporizers than I "need".

But fuck I just tossed my old plastic bong in the trash bin the other day, I haven't even touched that thing in a couple of years.. and that was my best item for a while, next to my brass proto-pipe.

All those years, all that combustion and cheap pipes, and seed infested low grade herb, all that hiding, all those stupid laws...

And now, pure vapor, legalized herb, and high quality glass. I almost wish I never combusted and this was my firsts time again

So when my big ass cloud and hydra tube show up, I'll get a glance from my GF, she'll ask "what did you get me" jokingly... and I'll be working on getting her to try an edible again before I even attempt to get her to try a huge cloud hit :smug:

I dont have a question about the cloud I do have emails back and forth from VXH although I will indeed open another support ticket

From that support ticket I have the same message as I did three to four months ago telling me to wait another three months. This just kills me the cloud was my first vape I waited a long time before getting it doing a lot of research didn't go with the volcano that people love so much got the cloud loved it so much that while I was waiting I got the Pax which I love but its just not the same.
