Are you getting that type of performance on the brand new glyph batteries? Age and use affects how the batteries operate for users. Some of mine are older so I can hold them on longer than the newer ones.

I don't have the new glyph batteries .
They're aprox . 8 mths old batteries , I use a good 4 slot Energizer charger , with 8 batts in rotation .
But the fact is , I can hold them in for a long time and just keep hitting it until it turns the load to
dark brown . Then I disconnect the battery .

Has anyone else experience this ? ( with the cushion ring removed )

I think if you did this with a new battery, your load would burn. I can do the same without the ring and with the PA on low.

I've been waiting my MFLB for almost 3 weeks, I cant wait, I think about my MFLB everyday. I'm tired of edibles and I've been without smoke for the last 3 months, throat problems

I remember when I posted this.

My box arrived like 3 months ago, let me tell you guys...

I. LOVE. IT!
I stopped smoking because I was having a lot of throat problems, I started with edibles only and it gets boring pretty fast, if you guys read my post, all of them are asking about the MFLB, I needed something small, stealth, cheap and awesome! And I have it right here guys, I love this thing so much, no throat problems, I use the whip to make a bong and I enjoy herb so much, I'm having trouble with AVB tho, I haven't found the perfect recipe, but I'll keep trying.

Thanks a lot guys, you guys helped me when I needed and now I'm so happy with my launch box.

ALSO!
Is the new power adapter good? Its only $79, I want to order it! But I wanna make sure it's great before buying because, you know, college student life.

Great to hear you've dumped blazing, that stuff can kill you you know. Vaping not only makes it cheaper to support your habit (most guys average 1/3 or 1/4 their former consumption levels of bud blazing I think).

Yes, IMO the PA is a great thing. It's like always having a perfectly charged battery at all times. Very liberating.

I don't know what your herb bill was, but perhaps you can justify the cost from the herb savings?

Before I used to buy 1/4 oz every 2 weeks, I remember I always went dry on day 10 or 11.
Now I buy 1/2 oz every 5 weeks or so, the thing is I consume A LOT MORE than I did before, I'm vaping non stop everyday, when I used to smoke, it was just a few puffs in the morning before work (I'm a programmer so no one was in danger) and before bed.
If I was vaping just before work and before bed (like before), I know I could reach 2 months easily with 1/2 oz.

It definitely saves a lot of weed, it's a great device, I might get the power adapter now. Becuase, why not? I just got a raise and it seems appropriate since I use it a lot at home too...

PS: Sorry if my English sucks, I'm pretty baked and it's not my first language.

Typical savings I think. Many/most of us partake more (and IMO better) because of vaping and still save money on weed. I think you'll like the PA, it really helps you concentrate on getting the goods from the Box.

You're kidding about the 'no English' part, right? No worries I can see......

Best wishes.

The PA is DEFINITELY worth it. It will change your whole experience with the box. I bought a FV, and although I like it and enjoy using it, the MFLB with the PA is as perfect as it gets for me. Not only do I save on batteries, which may finally take a rest from the beating I gave them from every day use, I also save on bud. I can extract the goodies in the box much more efficiently AND effectively with the PA. My loads are lasting much longer because I can always crank the sucker up and still get satisfying vapor with satisfying flavor.

A MUST-HAVE if you use your box at home.

After trying luck with a vapman and being disappointed, Im ordering one of those new arty boxes as my second box, they are simply beautiful! Along with that I'll order some extra glyph batteries, a matching cherry stem, a finishing grinder and the cherry on the top, a PA2.0 (:

Im planning on performing some temperature measures with an infrared thermometer as soon as I get my hands on my new mflb combo, and of course an infrared thermometer lol :)

The idea would be to establish a 1:1 relationship between the possible wheel settings in the PA and the obtained temperature on the box. Am I being a slowpoke on this one or would it be new info for the forum/vaporpedia? Let me know in both cases!

Something I wanted to ask: everyone is recommending the new batteries, but I haven't read anything about the proper charger for them: shall one stick to the default charger shipped with the mflb or grab a powerex mh-c9000 to monitor them?

One of my glyph batteries is pretty much done, the other can push a trench but the second one is iffy. I use the regular standard MF charger.

Buuuut... These glyphs are over a year old now (beta set), and I gave them hell. The 9000 is a more advanced charger than the MF one, and if you have tr cash for it, I'd say it's a wise investment. You don't NEED it, but it's a nice charger.

Finally bought another magic flight after a long few months without one. The first two were just standard maple launch boxes, but I decided to get the walnut version this time. I love the look of it, and the new glyph batteries are amazing.

for those who still doubt about the customer service (if there is anybody...), i just want to say that they are really good. I had an issue with my previous MFLB and contacted the customer service for a warranty claim. My request was treated quickly and my new MFLB has arrived. Thanks to the Magic-Flight Team.

Hi all

Looking to get my first vape and the mflb seems to fit the bill perfectly.

In the UK it is pretty expensive and there are some imitations at half or even one third the cost, but I don't want to risk poor quality or dangerous or unhealthy components so will go with the highly reputable magic flight.

I am just wondering since I am paying so much anyway, is it worth paying a bit more for the walnut or cherry version? Is there any benefit to taste as it says, or is it just aesthetics? If I needed a warranty replacement would it be a standard version?

Standard (possible fake with that odd looking box?):

Limited edition cherry:

Limited edition walnut:

Thanks all

I think it's worth it, while I like the older ones fine, I really enjoy my Walnut one. I don't find any difference any more if there ever was, but 'pride of ownership' is there for sure. Neat to look at in bright sunlight and all.

At one time exotic wood boxes were only guaranteed as being replaced, but MF has said they now consider these two woods (Walnut and Cherry) to be standard production units and will replace them with the same type if necessary.

BTW, not that you'll ever need it hopefully, but the normal practice for folks like you involves you sending a photo of the box destroyed (screen ripped out usually) and they send you the new box without return. Not as good as no problems, but faster and cheaper than most replacement policies.

Regards, and welcome to the Forums, I hope we 'see' more of you around here, good folks, lots of excellent information and advice.....even a chuckle or two from time to time.

Thanks very much for the information, useful stuff. Did bring up something though, with no US how do they get manufacturer replacements? Postage will be huge and it could get caught with import tax. Might have to find a UK reseller who does it all themselves, I saw one ebay advert that said that.

Thanks bro, will hopefully be sticking around a long time and feeding back on my purchase and flights...

Short tube is lovely: i wonder if one can get two of those from an original one...
Was thinking that even though the mflb crew has been investing a lot of time and efforts into arty boxes, different types of wood, a new power adapter and some other accessories, i would love to see a new product from them that gets rid of all the weaknesses of the mflb when its compared to others, like internal batteries, premium materials, and, well thats pretty much it, conserving all the basics and characteristics of the original, but just plain and simple better in the form of (just brainstorming here):
- thinner, more resistant glass cover, maybe using the same material as in the gorilla glass found in smartphones
-internal battery with a fancy, tiny and well hidden switch that turns it on and off, a button that triggers the oven and maybe a way of setting 2 or 3 different temperatures (do you really need the whole 180-220 spectrum?)
-thinner, sturdier, more resistant type of wood, some sort of premium type, maybe only wallnut or even darker types, as the like of the ones used by ed and his stems: this with the purpose of giving more space to the internal mechanisms and the battery.
-you name it, im sure there are better, more feasible options around there...

I just cant help but think that combining some vape technologies like, say, those of the pax (tiny battery with good juice), vapman (materials and craftsmanship) and some vaporizing modes (whip, balloon) with the help of some very well designed accessories, you might as well have the next big thing, and right in your pocket!

The market is already there waiting for new stuff to be launched in the market, people are already paying premium prices for vapes and the companies im naming (any of them by their own, let alone they working together) have the resources, the technology and the knowledge to do this, we just need to push them with the right ideas.

What do you say guys? Am i just a dreamer, or you think its possible?

I agree that the magic flight needs some work, but if you want to see the box get much thinner my guess is that the only wood that they would be able to use cheaply and effectively is maple. Maple is one of the hardest and densest woods that is commonly available, so you probably wont see any exotic boxes get much thinner besides maybe cherry, but that isn't really an exotic wood in the first place. Other than that I think your ideas are great and I would also love to see Magic flight come out with a new version of the launch box.

Side note: Yes you can get two short stems out of one long one. All you have to do is score a line in the glass stem with the edge of a file and then snap it with your hands. It will break perfectly on the line that you score. You can send the edges to get it smooth after that.

my replacement came through the customs marked as a gift, so no additional custom fees were necessary and magic flight took care of the postage fees. unfortunately they do not replace the boxes using their european partner shops, which would significaly reduce the waiting time. one can't get everything, i guess.

btw, your first link looks legit, too. a friend of mine got his box in a tin like this from an authorized dealer a couple of years ago. the box itself on the picture looks like an older model i used to have before i got my replacement. i'd definetely ask the seller if the picture corresponds to the actual item and get the newest version elsewhere, if it's not the case.

Has anyone ever mixed the herbal blend with cannabis yet? I'm thinking of purchasing the herbal blend for this reason.

It probably won't work as you expect. Most herbal stuff vapes off at a lower temperature......

Good luck with it. Please let us know what happens? TIA

I have vaped most available herbs.
I gave each a week at an hour of vaporizing per day.
Photoon2011-05-22at12482.jpg

The effects of vaporizing these herbs was very subtle.
Anti-emetics were not strong enough to help me.
at best I found a couple to have diuretic properties.

I did mix spearmint with my meds once.
I never did it again.. I found it "cut" the beautiful flavor of the meds.
