Yea, I got it off Ebay and the seller used some lasershipping carrier or something. Needless to say, the package never arrived...started going thru the processes when I got a call from a neighbor that said a package arrived at their house with my name on it.

Lasership is a source of constant complaints from Amazon.com buyers getting from 3rd party.
Are you using the turbo GonG shorty with the f-bomb ? And if so, how's it working out ? Not too much air intake for the solo ?

Can't blame the seller for "lost in USPS" on eBay. Although the last time something was "lost by USPS" in one of my transactions, it turns out the seller's warehouse had the e-ship info, but it didn't leave the docks.
If it was a one-off I'd agree but myrubberneck is notorious for these kind of screw ups! They're checkered history of bumbling mishaps dates back to 2010 on FC. Now it's 2013 and here is yet another! Not only did they lose their own package, they're giving me shite about my refunds. Lowlife scum!

Ok I got a question about battery indicator.

I have an M1A4 model...

Pipes's PA will not work if the battery has no juice... (I believe all models after 102 are like this?)

More importantly mine always flashes 7 at start up and does not show a row of lights indicating battery charge... so I have no way of knowing\checking the actual charge?

Am I doing something wrong? I press both buttons the blue goes on then 7 flashes then it will go to idle. no row of lights indicating the charge level...

Hi all. Some time ago I recall seeing a post about a letter from Arizer stating that retail outlets should honor the warranty. Can anyone provide that letter or link?

I've had my unit for three weeks and the battery has gone wonky and hippy gypsy in Tucson basically told me to go fuck myself. And to contact gotvape.com. Wtf and cheers.

It looks like the Solo is completely dead. Does it not go to charge mode with supply without the step down? Or the OEM charger? Should flash green while charging and show battery level then as well.

EDIT: I should add that this is uncharted waters as far as a Solo working with battery completely depleted. I suspect some built in safety programming at work here internal to the Solo. This would also be different as in a unit working on a PA without a battery.
Regardless, no worry of a defective PA as I have your back there.

Standard 14mm shorty - liking it but still trying to work out the cadence, how dense to pack etc..
I'm all over the place with variables, using mix fresh ground and ABV, sometimes tossing in some bubble or a lil taffy etc...

How hard to hit the fBomb, and when to hit and not hit is kinda all over the place because I'm trying to "get through" the remaining stash I have before I make another run to the dispensary. Using CannaT SRO1 flowers is weird because it's 11% THC but 9% CBD. It's a very different feeling, I find this strain feels like someone is forcing my face to constantly smile. Literally my upper cheek muscles feel fatigued if I hit too much of it.

One thing I've found with the shorties is obviously it keeps all of the pack closer to the heating element. So the risk is more conduction and less convection it appears. I'm going to get the tall boy PVHE GonG to do side by sides, but waiting for their bent PVHES come back in stock to do 1 order.

try plugging it in, I bet your battery indicator has dropped below the first light so it doesn't show your battery level

When I first got it it did that and I thought it meant it was fully charged, actually had one run at like 3-4 with the last of my goodies and it didn't run out so it still took me a short while to realize it was actually out of juice.

What are the results of more conduction and less convection, as opposed to the opposite, say ?

Noticed on the page for the gongs at planetvape...http://www.planetvape.ca/pvhegong-high-efficiency-gong.html

5. Once Solo reaches your selected temperature wait an extra 45 seconds to heat soak your biomass and PVHEGonG

and...

7. Wait 30 seconds between hits to allow your Solo to stabilize

Been getting good results doing this, but I don't put the GonG in until the unit reaches the desired temp, as opposed to letting it heat up the whole time with it in there.

Pipes no worries, it did charge and after about an 1/2 hour charge the step down worked again... so it looks like it needs at least some juice to work with the PA. so it seems that your AIO is working as it should. It's the solo that has me a bit puzzled.

As for the battery indicator I'm not sure I'm charging it now, and maybe I will start seeing a row of lights right after I turn it on.. to indicate the battery level. which is what it is supposed to do right?

For sure top it up as running at the bottom is not good for the batteries.
If the unit is flashing green, the indicators should should up after a while. If it's below the scale of indicators, this might take some time. Leave on charge as much as time permits but leave on over night tonight to ensure a full top up.
It's good to know this about using with a PA, thanks for the info.

It looks like all is well. I guess I mistook the 7 for a full charge so I have been using it with Pipe's PA or on fumes of the low battery (pun intended) until it finally drained enough to show that the pa needs a bit of juice.

I have been charging it now for 2 hours and what do,you know the row of lights show the charging level which is at 3, and now when I turn it on it does the blue, 7, then the row of lights...

Lessons learned.... Thanks to all.

Oh here's is a nice tip I wanted the vape case but looked to small to include the fbomb well I found a model that has extra space so I'm planning to keep my flowers and extra glass on the bottom layer... Here's the link in case you want to check it out.

Hi Hexi
I'm using the f-bomb with a PVHEGonG and I played with it also till I found the best for me, I think the draw pulls the heat temp down quickly so I load up , fire up on 7 , let it heat up to 7 and idle there for a couple minutes, let everything soak and let rip, take a huge toke, let it warm back up for a good minute and repeat.
I only get 4 or 5 maybe hits thru the f-bomb and the bowls done compared to twice that if just vaping. I feel more medicated with same amount with half the hits, but their good ones!

Yeah I've been doing that waiting game as you guys mentioned, it's very different than just steady pulls on the stem. I'll probably need a stopwatch as after waiting 10-15 seconds, I start engaging in other activities like shaving, reading or brushing my teeth and it's easy to lose track of time.

I have also done the crank to 7 thing. With the stems I would step from 4 to 7, but yeah it seems just going 7 right off the bat and doing bigger, fewer hits generally works better if enough time is given for the biomass to heat up. The concern is over-waiting or not waiting long enough etc...

And of course I introduced way too many variables, not using the scale etc...

Later tonight I'll run a few more tests ^_^. And this weekend I will have some fresh source material to run the tests on

Hexi, it takes time to just get used to it and over come the learning curve. Just relax into the session...I by no means wait that long between hits...if luck 15 seconds at most. I can just leave the solo in my mouth and keep token in between taking breaths through my nose and blowing out threw my nose as well...that is my lazy way as I am doing now lol.

Ive noticed a lot of people asking opinions about turbo gongs. For me they work great. I find they produce more vapor in my new unit with the red ring. Some people find it "airy" but I have not had that with my setup.
I usually use a "OF" PA with a o-ring, pvhe turbo gong, and small bubbler. I do need to mention that I do not use stock turbo screen, I found the extra fine screen works much better.

That model is the current one with the stainless steel bowl. But depending where you live, that price on ebay is probably not your best choice. Other options include puffitup or planetvape.ca. Each one has a code that can get you the solo for $160 from reliable companies with great service. Or people have also said that ebay also has cheaper prices for the solo. I believe I have heard as low as $130, maybe lower.

Check this post for another great alternative if you are looking for a power adaptor as well.
