Discontinued Inhalater XP

Ok I'll break down and actually send it in lol. If those pics were with the janky USB port I don't really see that big of a deal? They look fine to me?

@Inhalater Hate to be this guy... but why are all the black ones not showing USB ports? We were told the black ones and ones without stickers were the problematic ones. We know the colored ones look fine. Can we get an actual picture of the USB port on a BLACK model, or a colored model WITHOUT the sticker.

Other than that, they look great. Hopefully the black ones are just as good.

Black units were not finished. Here is what ports look like without wrap

Awesome. Doesn't look nearly as bad as the previous ones. I am perfectly fine with that. Thanks for the quick reply man.

@Inhalater, could you elaborate a little more on that? Pic would be great too if available.

If its another sticker, then I suppose a lot of people would be upset with that. Maybe wrap then sticker if it needs to exist?

A black wrap sticker. Like colors but black.
IMO, the stickers or wraps do not belong on a vape. It's not as stealthy or aesthetically looking. I'm sure not everyone will agree, but the black with no stickers is preferred. Although, if the body material could be molded using other colors....

They're keeping costs low.

which ideally keeps our costs low ;)

I agree the stickers aren't great, but I wouldn't mind a black sticker to start with. If I really don't want INHALATER XP written on the side for stealth, I can always remove the sticker.

I guess I just don't know what other option there would be? If they remove the sticker and engrave INHXP in small print on the unit, then you are at less stealth than just removing the sticker and having nothing on it. And the previous sticker for the black model looks worse imo than the wrap.

look im not here to start a fight. i made it clear that the xp is a great product when working.

and just to clear up a few things hiphiphooray i was not an early adopter. the product was out for months before i placed my order and have followed this thread from the beginning. what i have seen is people love the way it performs when it preforms. i have read many threads and many products have problem upon first release but thats no what this is. this thread is 7 months old and i see very few users with working units in there hands. and those that do have slight issues. for 250 there should be no issues. if a guy like ed who has been active on this thread for awhile has to describe his unit as "working" thats a problem.

the reason i made my previous post is to give my opinion. which is if i were someone new to vaping or only able to purchase one vape it would not be this one. there are other less expensive and more reliable units than the xp currently is.

and 2clicker im glad you are so satisfied with your purchase.i apologize if i miss spoke but dont you normally run your xp around 2? while it might preform amazingly well its not really preforming as advertised if 1-10 should all be useable temps.

i do normally start it at 2, but usually end up around 5 or 6 to finish the load. i have however used it on max and it still works perfectly and will not combust. i just prefer lower temp vaping.

nothing too hot about that IMO. its perfect.

Some colors are great honestly. We have unlimited possibilities with the wrap concept.

We can even offer custom one of kind for 80$ extra.

Rose. But do you think that we will not get over issues with hard work and time? It is impossible to make a product perfectly right on the first try. I bet it took quite a few tries just to make a good loaf of bread ;-)

 thanks for clearing that up i miss understood. happy vaping :spliff:

Edit: inhalater im sure you will get everything all sorted out. and probably very soon. i am just suggesting someone who wants to preorder should maybe wait until reviews of the newest batch are out especially if this will be your one and only vape.

@Inhalater, What is the alternative to the wrap? I am fine with the wrap, but would like to know my options if I have them =P

@Rrose Selavy, I think we can all agree on that point. While the XP is reported as great, its reliability is still questionable. Anyone new to vaping or that needs a medical device should definitely get a vape that has been around a while and proven effective. But I think the majority of people ordering the XP are cloud seekers. We want the XP because it kicks ass and produces some amazing vapor, with taste comparable to the solo...when it works that is. 7months and 250$ may seem like a lot, but its still the beginning of the game for the XP. I have a feeling that a few years down the road when we are all waiting on that new, best portable vape out there, people will be saying, "yeah its great, but if you want something more reliable get the XP thats been out for a few years now."

If we put a black wrap, then no problem I guess?

My issue is...I want black for stealth reasons (I do like the colored ones, white especially). Removing the sticker adds to the stealthiness. Just being honest, but I find the usb port to be a bit too unpolished at present. So removing the sticker would not be an option because I don't want to see the port. Worse, I'd hate for anyone else to see it! (I'm not usually pretentious, but there it is) From what I've read and seen in videos, the product seems to kick ass.

With that said, I believe the XP will replace my Solo as daily driver, but for the money I want it to look as sexy as it performs. Gonna have to wait...maybe buy an Ed's stem to placate myself until I feel confident about placing my order.

BTW, I love your participation in the forum. It makes me support XP more...

peace

Rrose and others, I appreciate your input, one of the reasons I've decided to get a standby.

I've learned more here (lurking), about using vaping for medical reasons, than many places w/dedicated sites . I'm here, on the I-XP thread, because I've settled in here, just have to keep fantasizing for a little while longer, til mine comes. I have faith because I have watched this site, among others, and appreciate the input. I know what people have used to individualize theirs, how to's, straws, tons of info from the start.

It helps tremendously to listen to everyone's thoughts, can't buy personal knowledge. Thank you all.

What's up with everyone really wanting to remove the wrap/stickers? Not trying to be disrespectfully, merely curious. But the more I think about I can't imagine any situation where someone seeing the XP, sticker or not, wouldn't immediately know what it was. What benefits are there to not having a sticker/wrap?

So its not really about stealth at all then... :p

I'm pretty excited for mine. I think a black sticker will be unique. And if I do decide to remove it, the handmade usb port will be my way of bragging in the future. "Yeah my USB is handmade because I got mine back when the XP was still pretty young." ;)

White looking paste is there, and slightly visible. Personally, I don't think its much of a problem. I'll probably make a lot of modifications to mine regarding cosmetics later on anyway. The micro USB port looks fine to me, are you saying there is a janky USB port is under the sticker? I didn't know that, ill have to go back through the post and see the original pics of the bad usb ports to compare
The real issue with the USB ports is 2 fold.....1st the USB port is the only thing that prevents the circuit board assembly from spinning freely....which is why they are all breaking...as we are turning it on and off the USB port is being loosened until it finally looses connection or even falls out completely....
2nd.... it is very difficult to remove and replace the circuit board switch assembly without causing damage to the USB port......
I would like to know on the newly cut plastic what exactly they have come up with to prevent the circuit board from spinning besides the epoxy or the USB port itself......a small recessed set screw would likely do a nice job of holding it secure......
My concern would be if they were only focused on the 2nd issue, which is very important also as batteries will need to be replaced down the road....

So its not really about stealth at all then... :p

I really liked my Q1 black sticker wrap....and I'm hoping my black replacement will have the same one........
Hand made huh.....you sound as though you might do well in the marketing department...ha ha ha lol
