If you can get an older model apparently it is worth it after doing some research. I just personally wanted to have both models, but it will be nice to have it to hold me over until the EVO gets released.

Take a t-break and/or a vacation from this little vaporizer enthusiast niche and it'll be here before you know it.

I do that with the vidya games now. I just don't pay attention and good stuff is out all the sudden. For example I played the first 2 Mass Effect games, hit that zone where I don't game much anymore or follow up on gaming news, and now I can get Mass Effect 3 for like $8 on ebay (heard this game is meh though.. lol). Reminds me of this comic. :p

Hey All,

My name is Benjamin, and I'm the Supply Chain Manager for VapeXhale, and also am part of the customer service team. I just joined the FC community, and I'm pretty excited to be here. Just to tell you all a little about me and VapeXhale, I actually was introduced to Troi through Drexel University's entrepreneurship program while I was a freshman and he was a senior (Drexel's Entrepreneurship program is 3rd in the country). We both had interaction with top notch professors including the founder of Half.com- Chris Finnin. Our paths changed a little, and I ended up graduating with a degree in Operations and Supply Chain Management, while he still graduated with his degree in entrepreneurship, and recently was accepted to Wharton's Executive MBA Program- Don't worry he'll still be here, but his Saturday's are for school starting in 2014!

I was brought on what seems like an eternity ago, but in actuality, was just January of this year. Troi introduced me to the VapeXhale Cloud in January of 2012, and from then on, my lifestyle of constant combustion went down the drain, and have been an ABSOLUTE FANATIC AND DEVOTEE to the product as a consumer since February 2012. With operations expanding, it's important to bring on trustworthy individuals, and after much pleading to Troi and StoneMonkey, they agreed to a part time internship as long as it was unpaid, and they could review my performance and determine whether I could look forward to a job I could love after graduating.

I was still taking a full load of classes (two 18 credit terms), I had to take time off class to drive across the country to compete in the United States' first ever legal Cannabis Cup, placing in all 3 major categories! I stopped going to the bar, spent all my time either in the books, or working with the VapeXhale team, stopped looking for alternative employment, put all my eggs in one basket, and took the plunge- I was convinced I was going to make the idea of my dream job happen, working for a company with an industry leading product, in the field of my specialty (managing inventory and supply chains), with co-workers who are more than friends- they're family.

One thing that never ceases to amaze me is the never ceasing amount of work we can accumulate. Before Troi brought me in within the fold, from a social standpoint, it seemed like he was working 80 hour weeks. I found it hard to believe there was that much time needed to manage and operate a vaporizer company. When I started my internship, I had never seen a more synergistic group who puts in more working hours and energy than team Team VapeXhale (even after interning at J&J for Zyrtec, and Estee Lauder, Managing assembly lines at 6:30 in the morning).

We've all developed a relationship with VapeXhale, we answer her emails late at night, and solve every problem, and right every ship, as soon as we are able, because otherwise, she makes us sleep on the couch ;)

At this point in human history, we are on the brink of utter social revolution, and we are able to literally sit on the precipice and watch it all go down. It is an absolute pleasure to be working for, and with all of you, to revolutionize vaporizing, and bring (what I feel is) health and common sense back into an acceptable lifestyle.

I couldn't be happier to be here,

Ben- FanaticPhorever

Welcome Benjamin, good to see you make it.

Now, about that pink Evo with the spinning horse carousel top w/led lights & Z shaped tube I asked you about.........................??? :goon:

Is it worth waiting for an evo if I can get the cloud now? (vapornation, then buy a tube from VXL) ....really want the evo, I understand patience is a virtue...I've just been eyeing this thing forever and waiting a few more months is going to hurt. All opinions welcome.

Vape more pot.

In your opinion. I think the consensus is that the EVO will be worth the wait. The number of original style Clouds still available is low, and even if your seller is willing to replace a failed unit with a new one, there may be none available, and it may be a while before factory repairs are available.

That's an expensive 'hold over'. ;)

Speaking of LED lights, how sweet would it be to inject LED lights into the marbles so you can light up the cyclones in the glass !

Max, its not the seller that will replace it, its vapexhale that will replace it since the warranty is going to be registered with it once I receive it, and the way I figure it should last me at least 2 months or hopefully longer but by the time is does break down, vapexhale will be done getting their production off the ground and it wont take long to replace it at all. The EVO is going to be a better product but IMO it looks like everyone lost their faith in the original CLOUD. I personally cant wait for it and think having both (the original as my back up/travel piece) will be a good thing

Personally, I prefer my Cloud+ to my "ol' ticker". The extra 1/2 hour on the timer makes a huge difference for me, the heat up is quicker, and I seem to get tasty vapor at a slightly higher temp than the old model as well. I may even part with something at some point, you never know . . . ;)

Some sellers can and do provide replacements, especially within the 1st 30 days. As for the timeline with the manuf. , as well as when/if your unit breaks down, you're making assumptions that may not pan out. If you can afford to buy both the old and the new, go for it, but I would strongly advise anyone who can't afford both, and is deciding between now (Cloud) and later (EVO), to wait. For me, the removeable power cord alone would make the EVO worth the wait. That fat, stiff AC tail on the Cloud drives me nuts when it's idle.

The issue is the flowers we put in these things prevents most places from doing a return. My cloud+ died in less than 30 days and the retailer (vaporizers.ca) refused to refund and said I had to wait for VXL to repair it. I doubt shipping it used over the US/Canadian border is wise either.

gigaurora: So the HT would have a cord too? :D
Those little LEDs on battery life last like yearsss ! but hmmmm... i'll just become a physicist and create some kind of static charge to power the battery ! rub your glass and it glows ;)

Ooooorrr you the ht has metal connection tabs on the bottom of the glass that are place on open plates on the top of the cloud !
( I wissssssh)

Someone correct me if i'm wrong ( it was waaaaaaay earlier in thread/ indie campaign) , but isn't the warrantee for an original cloud going to be void with the Cloud Evo, as in they wont fix or replace, and you only receive a 50$ rebate towards an evo purchase? I think your plan might have some holes :o

SM55 has stated that all existing warranties will be honored.

It is as it's always been. If you clean the parts that you can access, and don't send the vape sticky and smelly, a reputable manuf. or reseller (ASSUMING the reseller participates in a warranty replacement- it's not mandatory) will accept it and do the appropriate service, whether that's repair or replacement. Screwing people by using the 'illegal substances have been used' angle is bad for business. Any vape maker that advertised a warranty and then inspected every returned vape for any sign of mj, in order to void the warranty, would find themselves with a bad reputation after a while and would probably lose a lot more $ in lost sales than they'd gain by not honoring warranties.

That dealer's return policy is clearly stated on their site. They don't accept returns on vapes unless they're unused and still in the box, and that's only good for 30 days. This is the policy that most US and Canadian dealers have, since getting involved in warranty issues can be messy and expensive. The dealer would have to ship you a new vape, then deal with the manufacturer, and if their policy is to repair, the dealer ends up with a fixed but used vape, in place of a new one. Resellers can vary in their terms, as far as warranty returns are concerned. It's something to consider when choosing a dealer. For example, here's the warranty policy for Puffitup.com, where you may want to call or email to find out the policy for the particular model you're interested in.

"Most items we sell can be returned to Puff It Up for warranty repairs/exchanges. In some cases we might ask you to contact the manufacture directly for warranty issues."

I doubt shipping it used over the US/Canadian border is wise either.
That's not a concern either. I've sent used vapes to Canada multiple times over the years, and haven't seen reports of problems going in either direction. Shipping to some countries can be risky, even for a brand new product, but the US/Canadian border is not a problem.

I just learned that some domestic (US) vape manufacturers will not even ship to all 50 states, because of the patchwork of laws that often conflict with each other. Hopefully things will start to change with the new federal directives in place, but for now it's better to ship to us customers from outside the us if you want to deliver your product to all 50 states risk-free. The Chong Effect as it were.

I would like to point out that these "directives" don't change anything legally, like the schedule 1 nonsense, so the next administration can just put things right back where they were, or worse.

Sending vapes to Canada is different than sending to America. We have a federal mmj program and allow for cannabis to be shipped via canadapost
We also allow for import of mmj.
I do not believe it is wise to send any trace of mj over the US border but that's just my opinion. I've seen them confiscate and imprison people for a tiny spec of resin on a CLEAN pipe. I ain't taking any chances.

Also my cloud+ has AVB trapped in between the bamboo and insulation at the top that is impossible to remove without taking it apart and voiding the warranty

I PMed stonemonkey before I purchased the piece to make sure they would honor the 1 year warranty once I registered it and they will, not sure where that info came from.

If you are doing the trade in; you lose the warranty on the cloud, but keep the warranty on the EVO.
That was posted by SM55 in this thread.
