dear monsoon
the first model i made had a wire that was long enough but the problem was that people used there feet to operate it with to much power and clumsiness, and the floor is more hazardous for the unit

for the timer , the next series will be 1,30 minute and obligated non overriding shot off super mega precise,

remember the leaving your unit for 12 nhours on all the time will shorten the life of your units heating element ,the timer was put :first for security ,second reason is to give a break to the heating element.

correct me if i am wrong but i never promoted the bypass of the unit's timer, cause it not the best thing you can do to your unit

Do you mean 1h30m? I think that would work better.

No you never promoted the override, other people here pointed it out. It's the first time I've heard that it shouldn't be left on continuously though. Is there any chance you could include info like this on the website to make it easy to find especially for those not on FC? Most people are figuring out how to use/maintain it on their own so I think it would be helpful to at least have some guidelines (do's and don'ts) and tips for cleaning.

-----------

Not sure if you have one or not but the Solo is a great portable for me. I have to do a couple stems to achieve desired effect but its easy to reload, (No grinding required), and delivers nice hits. While you can't carry an extra battery, it's usually easy enough to find a plug in.

Well actually there is an extra battery you can use for portable charging, works great:

For cleaning, has anyone here tried using Powdered Brewery Wash? It's supposedly excellent for cleaning stainless steel and I wouldn't mind an easier and better cleaning method. I'm getting some for my bong anyway I might give it a try.

Watch out now, don't want to make this a solo thread... :p Honestly, I haven't used mine in a few months...

Sublimator is rocking it full time now. Though I do still enjoy my portables for what they are. I just can't stick to one vape for long...

I got to share the Sublimator with another forum member yesterday, and he really enjoyed it (I cleaned it and everything first) Instantly said how smooth it hit. It was a good sesh. Need more vapin buddies around here... I got the goods...
Smooooooth . . . is what this unit said to me at first blush . . . really, really, smoooooooth. Enjoyable and effective experience, thanks Jam for your "bud tending" skillz in helping me with the Sub, you DO have the goods indeed . . . :ko:

OT but the Pinnacle Pro seems to be sneaking in under the radar, looks very good...

Back OT, I cleaned my screen and it wedged back in much easier this time.

Then I subbed some abv from my gbv last night, after a few hits of sublimation oil.

I slept very well :smug:

When a portable with an all glass air path, capable of fogging up a room, but small enough to slip into my pocket, comes out...then we'll talk  I know how I would do it in a creative sense...but I have no engineering skills. So I wait for someone else.

Till then, I am addicted to this sub thing. :D

From an engineering perspective, does anyone think that leaving the Sub on would actually impact the life of the heating element?

I would think that because of how inherently basic the technology behind it being warmed up is, and the components, that so long as it is relatively stable and doesn't receive too many knocks, the longevity should not be affected by it being left on?

am curious to this as well. many things benefit from being left on due to less thermal shock of heating and cooling (cpu, the cloud, etc.)

The sub is in league of its own. How thick u can get vapor an yet so smooth. I haven't used water once. Huge lung busting rips off tiny amounts. Sometimes can't finish in one an im a huge guy. The best!!!

If Enrico is telling us that leaving the sub on shortens the life, then I will err on the side of caution and believe him!

Hi t-dub,what's up my friend of vaping!?

I've seen, like most of you i guess a bunch of vid's people using the sub...EVERYONE says, nearly without exeptions, the the Sub hit so SMOOOTH...well how do you explain that eveyone is coughing their lungs out? Please explain.
When i'm using the Aromed 4.0 i NEVER do this, coughing that is..Aromed hits SMOOOOOOTH for sure.

I believe most of the coughing is due the volume of vapor it allows you to take in at once, it goes in smooth, you blow out a massive hit. I don't have too much trouble with it myself, and have noticed that concentrates make me want to cough more than herb does.

I find it smooooth and hardly cough. Unlike my other units. It's different for everyone, I suppose. I am sure there are folks who dislike the Aromed for their own reasons as well. Everyone is entitled.

Hmm... lemme check.

Nope, didn't cough :science:

:dog:

edit: here's a picture of my new accidental screen setup:

SANY0161.JPG

As the result of a happy mishap. I grabbed the closest screens around, which were from the gvb maintenance kit. I dropped a couple in for smoking keif and whoa :whoa:,
I can hardly fucking type. The screens dropped out the first couple of dumps, but now they stay in like the ss grill below. Good thing I just cleaned it.
I'm fucking super-subbed, it's a keif machine now!
