I'm having a slight problem with my pax. Wondering if anyone else has this issue. With the mouthpiece in (new one just got it with those batches that week of sept. 10th), sometimes the Pax thinks the mouthpiece isn't in. If I wiggle a little, it starts to heat. If I shake, I have to hold the mouthpiece down, otherwise I risk having the heating turn off. Does this happen to anyone else? Should I get an exchange? Today was the first time it happened

Hello you could solve your problem? My PAX is 100% clean and yet every time I turn appears the $ # @% $ & Blue LED.

I bought a PAX BY Ploom and even after charging, the blue light Appears and flashes five times then the power off.

I had this issue with my first Pax. Unfortunately, this can't be fixed by the user and must be returned to Ploom under warranty for a new unit.

I got mine December and I had mail to ploom already. I kept it really clean and really only used it on the go. It stopped heating as much as it did suddenly. I was getting no vapor on the red setting and the herb would come out mostly green still. I mailed it to them a couple days ago, now I wait.

I do have to they though that the customer service is prompt and friendly as mentioned by many others.

Hello everyone! I've had my Pax for about a month now. Been using it and cleaning it regularly. Really do love it. I've been lurking here for about the same amount of time, if not a bit longer.

My only question is about cleaning the oven. I've been using q-tips dipped in iso and stiff bristled pipe cleaners to scrub the oven and the screen. I've been through this thread and have seen people recommend Mr. Clean Magic Eraser's and Steel Wool. Does anyone have any experience using S.O.S. soap pads. They are essentially steel wool, but I'm wary about using them out of fear that I might scratch my oven. What are your opinions on this?

Don't use SOS pads. They are impregnated with soap and detergent, you don't want that shit in your oven. Personally, I use the Magic Eraser and haven't had a single issue. A small chunk speared on the end of a toothpick works really well.

I use steel wool and while I do have scratches in my oven, i think it was from me using the VapeTool trying to scrub the steel wool around.

I don't use SOS pads, just coarse steel wool with 91% ISO. Works great. But I don't do it often.

I also use the steel wool for the screens.

Shpooding Time.
qtips and water work better than anything else Ive used, including magic eraser. Just make sure the qtips dont have plastic stems, either cardboard/paper or wood stems are what you want.

Hello FC,

I wanted to drop a line here and say i have been looking around on here for about a week now. i bought a MFLB about a year ago, it was ok but never really got the job done for me, and the batteries were a pain, well i have read this whole post on the PAX, some very interesting, some made me want to put on a Referee shirt. all in all though i am impressed with the PAX. I placed an order last week through an eBay seller then saw a post on here about the warranty issues (OH SHIT). well i started asking the seller questions about the warranty since he had not shipped my item yet, and he ended up refunding my money and for some reason pulling all his remaining PAX from eBay. anyway i bought one today from VapeWorld and now i wait. I wanted to come on here to say THANK YOU to everyone that has contributed all the information above that helped me to decide to give Vaping another try and to get a PAX. I was excited to save $40 from the eBay guy, but i would rather spend the extra $40 and get a 10 year warranty. I hope i have more to tell and contribute to this forum as i step forward into the vaping lifestyle. i cant say THANK You enough to everyone here for the reviews and videos, i feel like i already know what i am about to get even thought i have never held a PAX in my life.

Good choice. I have owned 2 Pax for a little over a year. Last night one of them stopped heating completely. My other one did that in April, and they sent me a brand new replacement because it could not be fixed.

So each of my Pax required using the warranty in about a year. I love them so much that I'm dreading only having one this week, but I would have 2 paperweights right now if I had tried to save money on one w/o a warranty.

I agree, saving $40 was not worth giving up the warranty, and all the stories i have read on here sound like Ploom stands behind the product 100%

Also, 2 Paces i will also be buying some Mentos Gum for your cool cap trick.

Yeah, Ploom has been awesome in every dealing I have had with them.

Glad you liked the cap idea! It definitely keeps the smell down!

Yeah, nice discovery! I'm waiting on my way overpriced gum as we speak.

I also ordered a ryot smell safe for my "pax". It seems to be the perfect size, anyone using one?

Im thinking that my pax has to be sent in for warranty work. Of course im planning on cleaning it for the trip, but im still concerned about mailing it/having the warranty honored for possible "non-intended" use. Anyobdy have any experience with this?

I sent one back in April, and I just dropped one in the mail 10 minutes ago. They never had a problem, or mentioned a thing. I believe they are very clear about intended use to cover their ass, but from my experience they don't use it as a way to get out of honoring warranty.

I don't believe anyone on here has reported an instance of them doing so, and I'm guessing we would have heard about it if it was happening.

Do just like you said, clean it thoroughly first.
