Discontinued The Sublimator

The ioffer seller has the 14mm Female to 18mm Female Adapter for 24.

The 24$ quote includes shipping.

The ALT adapter is $20 + shipping, which for me is an additional 7$.

Plus OGB will have it made and shipped the next day, not sure how fast ALT will get it shipped.

Edit: Didn't see your last post.

Yeah thank you to everyone for all of the suggestions. I like the local glass blowers here and was glad I can give them my business. I always try to support local business when I can. They are 20 a piece locally. This forum has been really great. I have been a longtime lurker on and off and now I never combust. Thanks to everyone for all of the knowledge and support. I will let everyone know my opinion of the sub after I get it and test it out for a few days.

After nearly a month, probably my only real complaint is the massive timer box. The override seems to only last 12 hours or so and if I forget to reset it regularly I end up sitting down in the middle of the day for a quick hit only to have to wait for it to heat up again. Very annoying. There's also the issue that if the box slides off the table it could very easily take the heater unit and possibly the bong with it which can be dangerous.

Are people even using the timer function and if so, how? I personally don't use it and if I did I'd want options for longer than 30 minutes.

Enrico: Any chance of offering a non-timer option in the future like the small inline switch that was in the previous versions? At the very least maybe lengthen the cord between the heater and the box so we have the option of using it placing the box on the floor when using it on a coffee table. Some kind of sticky material on the bottom would help too to keep it from sliding.

Couldn't you add Plasticine or sticky tack to the bottom or something along those lines?

I'd suggest one of those adhesive pads - but that would be a more permanent solution.

When I click on that ebay link now, it looks like the ebay seller has "more than 10 available" and that you get TWO 18/14mm reducer bushings for $10 shipped.

As far as the timer box goes, yes I do use it when I am "out the door", as I have pets and I don't want it on when I am away, so I don't forget to turn it off. Same with the 12(or whatever)hour max time, it's like a final safety stopgap. To me the sub is kind of like vacuum tube amplifiers, they need time to warm up but should not be left unattended because of the potential fire hazard.

Does anybody have this kit? I suppose it was a prototype timer that came after the simple toggle switch models but before the current timer.

Obviously there are other significant differences between this and the current le kit besides the timer.

That's the $1200 kit. Nobody has one yet around here, as far as I know.

One think I really like about the launchtube in that kit is it looks like the base screws apart, I haven't tried dripping in iso yet but my acrylic tube feels like it's pretty much cemented in there. There's no way it's coming out again without some help beyond twisting/muscling it out because that's never gonna happen.

Hopefully some prop glycol will be useful as kind of an anti-sieze so it won't get stuck again; besides access for cleaning I would like to be able to exchange tubes for the upgraded glass or the short travel-sized acrylic ones if they ever become available.

Also the flashing colored lights on that timer box are pretty cool when you're subbed out :smug:

the first model i made had a wire that was long enough but the problem was that people used there feet to operate it with to much power and clumsiness, and the floor is more hazardous for the unit

for the timer , the next series will be 1,30 minute and obligated non overriding shot off super mega precise,

remember the leaving your unit for 12 nhours on all the time will shorten the life of your units heating element ,the timer was put :first for security ,second reason is to give a break to the heating element.

correct me if i am wrong but i never promoted the bypass of the unit's timer, cause it not the best thing you can do to your unit

Maaan, I can't stop subbin! Tiny little .08 bowls are exactly like taking little BB sized dabs. Love the flavour and quickness of a quick sub session (When you have it preheated over course). It's also nice seeing enrico around here more :D. Love the sub dude, haven't even touched my Dabuddha since!

Two questions for Sublimator and Enailinator owners:

1) has anyone tried to do an iso rinse on the oil that the Sublimator produces in the downstem?

2) Has anyone tried flowers in the Titanium Enail version?
Also is there a dimmer on the Ti nail version?

Dave44 definitely did not express himself properly to get his point across, and flaming, name calling, and accusations which are not properly backed up with proof boil down to nothing. I am sure it is clear to most that the Sublimator does not cost that much to produce (materials/parts, components, and construction considered) clearly there are far more costs involved int producing a Volcano, but all in all cost is really means nothing to people that can afford the product and everyone seems to enjoy the device and that is what really matters.

It vaporizes weed if you're asking about the ti nail.

So I went out tonight with my PAX, and boy was it underwhelming...since using the sub, very little can compare in my book. It will be tough finding a portable with the same punch.
That's what happened to me with the Cloud Tweek ... and now the sub too ... I have a 1 - 2 punch with the desktop vapes but still longing for the perfect portable :) ... really like my MiniVAP but it can only "sort of" be considered "portable". I'm hopeful for the Ascent (still) ... but we'll see.

Not sure if you have one or not but the Solo is a great portable for me. I have to do a couple stems to achieve desired effect but its easy to reload, (No grinding required), and delivers nice hits. While you can't carry an extra battery, it's usually easy enough to find a plug in.

I found manual driver type vapes (firewood and Tvape, Thermovape etc...) to be good alternatives. You can ramp up your temp according to your tastes, rather than being stuck with pre-sets, but then you also have to pay more attention to your heating so you don't burn it. The INH004 has been my go-to portable, it gets hotter than I need, and I get steady, reliable performance from it. Solo has been stashed away for some time, I think I may like a hotter temp than 7 on the dial can produce for me. It's been a while since I've tried using it, so I should revisit to see where I'm at with it now.

I got to share the Sublimator with another forum member yesterday, and he really enjoyed it (I cleaned it and everything first) Instantly said how smooth it hit. It was a good sesh. Need more vapin buddies around here... I got the goods...

Just got the iolite double woven, it fits perfectly I never have to use my tool to arrange it. Also I put an PV ultrafine on the second lip (same setup as loblaw). I'm liking it more this way definitely the best combo I have tried, I think I need a cleaning sesh though.

Thanks for the suggestion, Darb. I used to have one and really enjoyed it, but for use in public, I could never get comfortable with it.... But boy, as a device to take to a friends house, it was great. I imagine even more so with the mini water tubes.
