Just ship it back no ticket needed for this ship it directly to me.

Print this conversation out and write in big letters attention G. Once i get it i will put in a request to credit your account for the shipping.

Once i have it in hand i need to diagnose the issue on why this has happened. Trust em this is only the second time i have seen this happen.

OK, will do. Just send it to the same address as usual I take it? Thanks very much and I hope you find out what the issue is, I'm always curious about stuff like that. :)

crap looks like i have to send my double top in too G. The top shorted out but that was MY fault, but I'm goin to post some pictures of what NOT to do, so you don't have so send yours in for this simple but critical mistake. I was testing out the hercules and it was getting hot but no vapor, so i took it apart to see if anything was up with it. when I unscrewed the stainless tube, the open end for the rod, sticks to the rod, causing the PTFE cap to pop off like this...

if this happens DO NOT just think you can push it back into the screw mount at the end by pushing the other tube back in and screwing it in like this...

Because the metal rod part will come in contact with the other metal end and cause a SHORT and ruin your persei top, because this is what happens inside the tube when you do this..
the metal on metal causes a short and your top to fry so be warned, so you don't get lazy and skip the process of screwing it back in again.

make sure you unscrew the buttom part and rescrew back in the PTFE and rod hold with female end for rod like this like in the instructions.

I thought the new tops were "short proof"? I guess only so far.

No the new tops are, his single top was what got replaced and that was a defect. His double top was original that got fried.
so with the new tops, if you do as DrumInfected described, the light will start flashing to let you know its improperly assembled or will we be able to be lazy and just push it in (is this what you mean by short proof?) if ever we get ourselves in such a scenario?
I know the first couple times im going to want to check the bottom part for any oil in it to see if im doing it right and like druminfected said, that part does have a habit of coming out when you unscrew the bottom half. It actually wasnt until i read DrumInfected's post that i realized what was the cause of my short, my lazyness.

My tops supposedly arrived today. Fuck yeah. im on my way to the mailbox!

I borrowed a persei double top from a friend and the coil shrunk down when i tried using the hercules and now the persei just stays on all the time. Can someone please tell me what the issue is now? I put the Hercules together in the instructions down to a T, and really don't know what I could be doing wrong! Please help anyone please I beg of you!

I'm not sure how old is old, but he bought it when I told him about the 4/20 sale you hadc and the serial number on back is in the 3,000's Serial number is 303#

Ya these are prone to the center pin issue and not enough protection.

We are preparing to full replace a lot of Persei tops because of this.

The same thing happened to me last week when I tried using my SR-71 with one of the old tanks. At the time, I didn't know that the screen needed to be taken out of the mouthpiece in order for them to work. I had used it with the new coils without problem on both my Iris top and my double top. Popped the SR-71 onto my single top, dropped a tank in and pressed the buttom and boom, fried top and battery coil compressed.

yeh right when I pressed the button, i heard a click sound and smoke poured out from the button. I swear I have the worst luck! I have my persei spring, and both single and double top ready to be shipped now. I told me friend he will have to make a ticket to get his persei top fixed ( he wasn't too mad at me, because he needs to upgrade to a new top anyway)

I'll be making clouds with the hercules eventually one day soon.

Its all worth it trust me.

Please understand that we could come out and say that the old tops are not Hercules approved and have some weird story on how we need to sell you the newer tops. Good thing we arnt that company.

We stand behind our products 100%.

Whats the CORE look like?

Ok you ask for it you got it buddy.

This first picture is our patent pending Anti Skid Technology ( something other companies would say )

but for us its just rubber legs that keeps it from sliding on your desk. No micro controller involved in this technology. :-)

This is the Side view.

Nothing special just the option to change voltage from 3.0v - 8.4v with increments of 0.1 so you can fine tune your device for flavor or vapor production. Built in protection circuits so that it can be a back up just in case the first one doesnt kick in, has a simple USB port that puts out 500 mah of charging power so you can run your vaporizers and charge a device or run to vaporizers if both have pass through capabilities.

Hi G
When you talk about the new tops are those the ones that have Persei printed on them and serial #'s in the hunderds, or is there a newer V3?
Are you still sending out the AAF washer for the bottom w/the new SS top or has that idea been droped? If not was that a #10 star washer?
Thanks
Kevin

The Newer tops have the Persei logo under the button. They have an R plus serial number but this also depends on the number as the earlier ones are not the new ones but if it fails we will replace if under warranty. If not the small service charge to replace the whole unit including both tops can be had for $60 bucks i think.

The AAF is still in testing phase and thats not out yet.

The #10 is no longer needed if you have the Stainless Top Cap.
