Just got one of these, haven't used it yet, mainly because a plasticly taste(Yeah I tasted i, bad idea, throat feels ehh, probably my imagination though) and smell is coming from it, should I let it burn off? I am presently pushing the battery in but it still smells after I did that for like 5 mins...

I actually just got this and a Vapor Genie, splurged a bit.

I would give the burn off a try . I never noticed a hint of plastic taste or smell with either the palm or palm 2.0 , then again I still smoke a few packs of ciggs a week . Hope it clears up as I found the P2 to be one of the best tasting vapes I own .

Both the VG and palm should serve you well .

Your experience puzzles me. I never got any hint of a plastic taste from the Palm 2.0. In fact, I thought that the taste was one of its strengths, and friends who tried it agreed. In my opinion, the P2 is among the best for flavour of all the devices I've tried.

If you're still getting some smell then something is definitely not right.

It went away after a bit of burn off(Well I dont taste it with the herb on it so I assume its totally gone), might have been from the manufacturing process, it seems pretty good now, getting the hang of it, getting some nice medium sized clouds, not bad for how small it is honestly, gonna try out the vapor genie later, need to pick up a lighter, out at the moment somehow lol.

It does have a great taste btw, I agree.

I too just got one of these nifty little vapes about a week ago and I love it. My only concern is that it tends to combust very easy. My brother also picked one up after using mine and his seems to "burn" more evenly. When he is done its a very even light brown. Mine on the other hand is brown in the middle and still green around the edges no matter how much or little I put in the trench. Because this is my first vaporizer I don't know if it's my technique or I got a bad unit. Has anyone else had this problem?

Your technique requires more practise. Took me quite a bit of messing around before I found my groove too - and I'm a long time MFLB user. I find micro hits work best for me.

I have that issue also, I usually just shake it up(Btw love that about this one), some comes out pretty dark but I don't think I burnt it to bad so far.

Thank you for the replies I really do appreciate them. As for my "uneven burn / vape" after some good and long testing I removed the "inside" screen cleaned up the two bars that the screen connects to and the white ceramic chamber and now it works amazing. In all honesty I don't know if it really did anything but it sure seems like it did. I can now hold the battery for longer than 10 seconds and not worry about combustion and it even seems to burn a little more evenly. I also seem to have found a nice rhythm with my slow smooth draw, shake, slow smooth draw, shake, slow smooth draw, shake, etc. I have been getting some real nice hits now. Sorry for the long rambling post I'm just really excited. I loved this little vape since I got it and now that the palm 2.0 works even better after some experimentation I'm just ecstatic. Thanks again everyone. Happy Vaping!

Interesting removed it? That doesn't impact it negatively?

You have to put a new one in . taking it out tears it off the clips that hold it to the Rods . I haven't heard of any one getting the heating element screen out in one piece . VaporBlunt has even said you can't salvage it.

Oops. Sorry I guess I forgot to say after I took out the screen. I cleaned it, the "posts" and the heating chamber and then put it back in.

I know I am new here and I have only had the palm 2.0 for about two weeks but with a lot of patience and the proper tools (a metal pick) it is possible to remove and reuse the screen. First never pull up by the screen because it will tear but if you are very careful you can get the pick under the clips and slowly pry upward and it will pop right off.

With as good as this vape is, I never understand why there's only 9 pages. Anyway, I'm in a good mood today so I'm gonna give away a palm 2.0

The next person, other than the person the just won the Pro and anyone that lives in PA or IA (sorry, we don't ship there), that posts I'm this thread gets a free palm 2.0. Good luck

I wonder if that was supposed to be "in" this thread not "I'm" this thread.

U win buddy! pM me your address and I'll get a unit out to u!

"I'm this thread" too funny. I love auto correct
Wow that's to cool. I've got a brother who really needs to get away from the lighter. Thank you very much TherealVaporblunt. As soon as I figure out how to PM I'll get that info right over to you.:)

No doubt!

I must say that I am intrigued by the size of this portable vaporizer, not to mention the clear mouthpiece. Too bad I just bought another portable.
The size of this vaporizer is what originally piqued my interest. The concealment factor is very important to me and After doing my research I found almost nothing but positive feedback for the palm 2.0. Along with the size, the taste, the function, and the ease of clean up are what really helped me with my decision. It's funny this past weekend I was walking around downtown Las Vegas using my palm 2.0 and never got a second look from people around me or security. Then again with all the freaks :freak: out on Freemont street me and my little Palm 2.0 are probably the last thing security is worried about.:D
