Update: The first shipment is scheduled to arrive at our warehouse tomorrow. We will have an "all hands on deck" approach tomorrow getting all of the units packaged and shipped to consumers. For those of you included in this first wave you will receive a shipping notification with full details for delivery. We will open pre-sales again once we fulfill all of the pre-orders and pre-sales already in the system.

DV, what about the original pre-registers that never got the invite to order as promised? Never had the chance to order? SOL? Back of the line? Are you just going to ignore them again?
All this time I've been silent, patient and understanding as a long time customer. Now feeling greatly abused. Do not feel I can crawl out from the rug I've been swept under to undergo yet another long wait. You should honor ALL your promises & obligations first before accepting more orders.
I'm sure it will be a fine vape, but I just can't tolerate the disregard any longer. Sorry.

I am torn between being happy that DV is giving us up to date info and being upset that said info counters what was emailed to me just hours ago...
I have to logically conclude I will most likely have a shipping number sometime this week... if not tomorrow.

That's wonderful news. My brother will be excited...he managed to get in on the first day. And I'll get to play with his Ascent (this week? :clap:) while I wait for orders to open up again. Mwahahaha.

Careful with all that corrugated cardboard--that stuff will give you the worst papercuts ever...

By the way, is there a way to know for sure if you're in the first wave? Order numbers below "xxx" perhaps?

If its anything like what Got Vapes told me yesterday, very soon.
anybody who Pre-ordered through GV or TV are getting theirs in the first shipment. DV set aside units for both companies Pre-orders already. If you ordered through either of them or the FIRST prw-order, I can hope we will be the first to recieve.

At least that's the plan/hope.

On a side note:The Ego style pen vape GV sent me has allowed me to quit smoking cigarettes, so that's one positive to have waited for the ascent for so long.

If they are going to honour their preregistration promises, then I would imagine not for awhile, since you jumped the queue. Otherwise, I imagine it all depends, and you just have to cross your fingers like everyone else.

I may be wrong, but if they took your money, your a pre-order and you should be part of the initial shipment. Pre-sale to me means you pre- registered and A) got an invitation but couldn't order because of the customs crap or B) you pre-registered and have yet to get an invitation to order.

The issue is, many people who pre-registered never got the email and an opportunity to purchase as promised, thus losing their place in line. There was also the email being leaked, which allowed folks who had not pre-registered to purchase a unit ahead of those that did, and make a claim for the free gift which was an incentive.

So if DaVinci plans on honouring its original plan, those who pre-registered should be given first dibs on the current shipment, especially after waiting all this time...and not someone that jumped the queue.

That isn't going to happen. People who ordered first, and were not necessarily on the pre-registration, still had their money taken from them. Who cares if you were first to pre-register? They only care about the money and for that reason, they're not just going to give you an Ascent. The shipments are going to go to the people who paid for them first. The pre-registration doesn't mean nada now.

no offence to you, so please dont think this is aimed at you but...... i ordered on the first day. i literally ordered 4 minutes after they opened the starting gate on the first day and i still think my order is well behind alot of other people. if someone from GV or TV gets one before all the people that ordered direct, that will be pretty effed up... IMHO that is.

None taken. But I paid in full for my Pre-order back in April. DV didn't start taking money till a few weeks ago.
Apparently they set aside so many to GV and TV in the first order.
It's safe to say TV and GV paid ahead for their orders. DV would most likely honor distributors and Pre orders in the first run. I would imagine we all get them around the same time.

If the first orders are going out by today or tomorrow, then the pre-orders from DV will get their's first.

DV still needs to ship the orders to GV & TV, then those companies will mail the Ascent's to the customers that pre-bought from them months ago.

Those that were pre-registered with DV, but have not had a chance to purchase yet, "may" be getting theirs after the initial GV & TV distribution..."Maybe"...:shrug:

After all that has happened, I'm not even going to try and speculate who gets their Ascents first. I pre-registered and pre-ordered as soon as I could, but was left out of some of the emails from DV. I just hope I get mine within the next two weeks and that I don't have to wait months waiting for something that I already paid for quite awhile ago.

The initial shipment was 200 pieces. That's the only shipment that has come through customs so far as I understand it. And those 200 are for people that ordered direct. DV stated many times that they wouldn't take customers money until they were ready to ship, if someone jumped the gun and tried to forego the wait with the first vendor that would take their money then it's their own fault for not listening to the manufacturer. IMO.

Agreed. Initial shipment wil go those that have already paid.

They have had numerous weeks if they so chose to cross check pre-reg list and eliminate/bump those that 'jumped the line' so to say and issue refunds and notify those that were at the head of the list and didn't prepay.....but they didn't.

I agree with vaped about who gets the first batch, and would add that the isolated unit that Mark Senfftleben was able to buy recently may have been made available because a paid pre-order was canceled? That's pretty much the only thing that makes any sense to me about that.

Gotta' say ... when the pre-registration first came up ... seems to me it was advertised as an opportunity to pre-register to get notified to get the opportunity to get in ahead of the pack ... it didn't ever guarantee it ... just gave you an additional advantage over others as far as not having to constantly monitor the Internet to see when might be the hour to purchase! ... seems to me DaVinci came through on this ... I got notified ... if some individuals hadn't announced the pre-sales to the world, it would have been a better advantage, but that was outside of DV's control.

Bunch of bitchin' and moanin' from what I can tell ... DV's done ok by us and seems to be doing their best to get the units out to customers (after all, that is in their best interest)
