I went to a fighting game tournament on the weekend :D

There were setups for tekken, street fighter, marvel vs capcom, king of fighters, injustice, mortal kombat, and maybe a few others.

I got absolutely trounced in my 2 match ups (2 sets of best of 3, i didn't win a match )in the injustice tournament, but I mostly play casually with my mates (and my favourite char is bottom tier )...
That, and the 2 guys I was against ended up getting to the finals
I'll have to practice a bit for the next one...

Hopefully they'll have a MK tourney next time too.

I also attend tournaments when possible! It's nice to see other people who enjoy fighting games (and vaping)!!

Far Cry 3 for only 19.99 on xbox live! What a steal!
If anyone likes massive worlds to explore and doing crazy shit like hang gliding off a clif or jet skiing from the ocean into a camp to bombard the enemy. This is the game.
I'm no rep of xbox live, just a friendly heads up.
19.99 today ONLY!

Got Hotline Miami on steam sale for $2.12 and can't help but feel like I stole something. What a great, singular, bizarre game. It's may be the most impressive modern indie title I've played yet. It's over all too soon and the ending isn't what it could have been, but it's worth a play and then some.

No portal?!?
That made the orage box worth the price of admission for me, and I got it on the ps3 for $100 (games are way overpriced here :(, a game that launches at $60 in the US launches at $100-$120 here...)

But yeah, orange box and/or borderlands 2 = gonna have a good time

I'm a big Portal fan!! (remember, the cake is a lie) Orange box included portal 1 and team fortress 2 too but I played portal 1 in my pc and portal 2 in my xbox360, so I wont play it again.

I bought the game in the offers of xbox live the last week, when I saw it for 5€ it was a no brainer for me. Still deciding about borderlands 2, I will like more to have it in my xbox360...

Edit: Borderlands 2 + season pass for 20.38€ in steam, I have to buy it now :freak:

So long as portal has been played and appreciated, I'm happy :D

I love how relatively simple a mechanic portal uses, but it creates such depth in it's puzzles, especially the co-op mode in portal 2.
I've even got my own companion cube

Borderlands 2 and The Last of Us are taking up my time at the moment. Last of Us definitely deserves the hype. It's absolutely brutal, though. I can only take it in short spurts. The combat animations and all that are almost understated yet bloody and realistic... oof! It's really well done, I just find myself only being able to watch Joel get beaten to a pulp so many times when the clickers find me. :p The dialogue and plot are top-notch. The characters are so sympathetic and 'real'.

Borderlands 2 is mindless blasting/looting fun. I kinda want a Claptrap of my own to chill with and vape, as long as he promised not to try to 'integrate' with me.

Looking forward to Watch Dogs and GTAV later this year.

I tend to discover games years after release. Thoroughly enjoying Fable 2 at the moment, having completed 3.

I've developed a taste for RPGs which are nice and easygoing.

Yeah, I liked RPG's as well, but I really need to stay away from MMORPG's. WoW quickly became my drug of choice, and much like coke, it was fun in the beginning, but then chasing after that initial high became a chore yet I still did it. The most insidious game I ever played. But I'll tell ya this. My guild loved me. :\

As far as indie games go, I highly recommend Geometry Wars, Osmos, Machinarium, Super Meat Boy and Limbo, all are brilliant their own unique way. Seriously!!:myday:

Oscar_Milde,
Take a look at the humblebundle guys, for less than 5$ you have dead space, dead space3, battlefield 3, crysis 2, burnout, medal of honor awesome deal!

Indeed, while most of these games aren't great in my opinion, they're still well worth a few bucks for both Steam and Origin codes, and all money goes toward charity.
Every PC gamer on this forum should probably pick this up.

Limbo was a great experience, and I've had Machinarium collecting dust in the Steam collection for awhile now, I still need to try it out.

I can see clearly now the smoke is gone...
I must be the only person in the world who didn't like BL2. Playing Dead Pool atm and need to finish up Far Cry 3.

The Last of Us is on my short list, but 60$ is a bit steep.

It's funny, WoW was one of the MMO's I never got into. Played Warhammer, Guild Wars and Aion quite a bit. But as I said somewhere else, mmo's are too time consuming and to many assholes for me.

Anybody out there playing Civilization? I had put a good number of hours into Civ 4 but hadn't tried Civ 5 yet until I finally got it on sale recently. I'm finding myself enjoying it even more than Civ 4 to my surprise! The initial reviews seemed mixed but the first expansion was apparently widely praised along with the second expansion, which I unfortunately don't own yet.

These games tend to suck up your time!
