LOL are you serious? I didn't know that happened. How dare a company post pictures and videos promoting their future product! Ridiculous. Some people just bitch and moan just to hear themselves talk.

All this resurgence of Ascent talk has got me damn excited again. I've been trying my best to block thoughts of the Ascent out of my mind so I won't obsess about it, but my presence in this thread shows how well that plan is working out. . .

Can't wait to get my hands on this thing!

I concur. T-shirts are dime a dozen. I would rather get additional interior glasses, car charger, and a nice carrying case.

With this downtime, they could probably do a lot of things but it will be walking a tight rope. Some thoughts:
1. Pics, videos of how it works with different attachments.
2. May be talk about the custom versions they were planning on releasing
3. How it works with different herbs.
4. May be additional findings on best practices for Ascent usage.
5. Something totally random.
6. May be a picture of customs' processes :) ... if there is a funny side to it.
7. Anything, anything at all ... that could make this wait more bearable.

But again they will have to tread very carefully. There are a lot of angry folks around to pounce on them .. but i guess with weekly updates and with some entertainment, it could be worthwhile.

They already announced that those that already paid direct and were affected by the customs ordeal would be getting another set of internal glass. Just no charger.

Oh yeah, the email I never got. I was told they would follow up on that and have never heard another word. The point remains nobody wants a free shirt and most have already paid for the faster shipping and have no need for oil jars at all. A very sad effort at damage control.

I would happily forget about the extras if I had the ascent in my hands by the 28th of this month. But I don't think that is going to happen...

I'm not so sure this is 'downtime' for them. They still have their usual workload, the additional work associated with a new product release, and on top of that there are now numerous fires to be put out (so to speak) because of the customs issue.

It might be downtime for us while we wait, but I'm guessing it is anything but that over at DV headquarters.

We just learned that the first wave of Ascent units are in the final clearing stages. From what we have been told this is the last step before they are released. Once we have confirmed the order is in route to our warehouse, we will send each person on the pre-order list detailed information pertaining to the shipment of their Ascent.

I almost won't believe the email when it comes from Davinci, saying that our Ascents are being shipped. I "almost" feel like Charlie Brown and the football.
Guess I won't actually feel its real until I get a tracking number or the package is at my door...:)

We at davinci sincerely apologize but, we are facing yet another delay. After the initial shipments of ascents cleared customs a giant sink hole opened up and swallowed our delivery truck while in transit. Again we apologize, we will update you with an update on when to expect an update on future shipments. Sincerely your davinci staff.:rofl:

Oh god I hope there aren't any sink holes. I'm starting to believe in Murphy's law at this point..of course I always have. But yes, we have received confirmation that we are out of..one bad place and have moved into clearing. We know what caused the issue and have worked to remedy this for future shipments which will start to leave as soon as we can make sure that all is really, really ok.

I'm hoping to send you all great news tomorrow or Monday at the latest.
