Ordered on Sunday and my new heater is out for delivery! I have to say, who needs spares with shipping speed like that!

Here's the new one:

I couldn't tell the difference either... but at least it works as good as the old one!

Well after wasting my time with the Atmos Thermo W and having it catch fire almost, then trying new attys and even Cloud attys, I've finally pulled the trigger on the Dabbler. From what I'm reading and seeing I think I'll be a happy man. I'm tired of wasting oil in bad attys that end up melting and leaking all over the place and with this I don't think it will be a problem. Anyone had a problem with these leaking at all?

It is the only pen type oil device I have that has never leaked once.
It is designed in a manner (and to be used in a way..) that would make leaks
unlikely.
Yeah when I say leak I mean coming out of the bottom of the atty in into the battery kind of leaks, ya know? This doesn't look like it has even any possible way of doing that. I'm just tired of messing around with all the junk out there, but this looks pretty solid. I think this is what I have been looking for.

You and me both man. This is the first pen I've held that is sturdy and not some flimsy plastic ecig knockoff. I should spoil myself more often.

So i was noticing a lack of production, having to pre heat then hit, etc...

Decided to give vitolos cleaning technique another shot...first i ran it upside down for 4-10 second cycles to let the bottom residue drip out. then took a straw and literally added 3 drops of 91% Iso in a shot glass. Enough so that it touched the coil but didnt really get above the threads so I could avoid the peeling i experienced the first go around. Dipped it in for ten seconds scraped the coil with a small scissors. Dipped it again and repeated about 4 times. Did a couple 10 seconds burns and then dipped again in the iso 2 more times and scraped 2 more times. Burned off the remaining ISO and WOWEEE. I thought it was ashed up but then realized i was looking at the coil and a greyish glass rod/silica/wick thingy whatever you wanna call it. Total time was less then ten minutes and by the time i was done the ISO in the shot glass evaporated, thats how little I used. Works like a new coil, couldnt be happier. i did get iso on the sides of the cart a couple times by dropping it on its side but wiped immediately after learning from my last experiece. (The black is the only one you have to worry about peeling i believe so you can be less careful with the silver cartridges)

Any long term updates from Dabbler owners? Seems like a great product compared to other pen style vapes...just curious to see how the dabbler holds up over time. thanks

I'm on my second heater but I love the dabbler! I just hope this one lasts longer than the 3 weeks the first heater did...

That's what my first battery did. If it stays white even after you charge it until the red light goes off, then I would suggest contacting vaporwarehouse or whoever you bought it from for warranty. The light on mine stayed on for literally 3 days until the battery finally died haha

My replacement battery has worked flawless.

Two weeks with the new heater, still going strong, I've taken a college students approach to cleaning (I don't) to see if lack of physical contact will prolong the heater wire.

I was thinking about the Bholt but the leaking and small hit capacity reassure me that I made the right choice with the leak-proof Dabbler!

I too usually take the college student approach to cleaning vapes. Fortunately, I no longer take the college students approach to drinking! Lol...

I guess im experiencing the same dilemma as you did. Should I purchase the Dabbler or the BHOLT. I think I'm leaning more toward the Dabler though. However, the BHOLT does seem pretty cool being GONG and a heavy hitter. Not to mention the cool looking led lights if you're into those type of things. I didn't know that the BHOLT was more prone to leakage. I think I might have missed that in the BHOLT thread. The main reason I'm Leary of the BHOLT is that they're a new company with no track record in the industry. On the other hand, Vaporbrothers is an established company and is highly respected.

So kichass, what ultimately made you pull the trigger on the Dabbler? Was it just the fact that the Dabbler was much less likely to leak, or we're there other factors involved?

Well when I bought the Dabbler the Bholt was still in the "thread candidates" section, but I mainly bought it for durability reasons. I've tried the Omicron, Persei, Dart, Ecig mods, and something I've liked about all of them is their sheer strength.

I want a pen vape I can be rough on and carry with my keys, I wouldn't dare that with a glass pen vape. But I don't think the Bholt leaks externally I just meant I read about people's dab leaking down the white cup under the glass joint, just a visual thing.

Just a pic of my dirty, dirty Dabbler:

As you can see the center seems to be capable of "self cleaning" to some extent. Flavor isn't perfect lol, but airflow and vapor density are still great, and all I do is add more!

I pulled the trigger on the Dabbler today!! Went with the silver and got a spare cart as well. Can't wait try a dab with this cool little pen.....

I think it will take me a long time to get my Dabbler all gunked up like Joekickass though. Btw, how many dabs does it typically take to get it that Dirty?? Like 50?
