Yes!! Alright folks - new pieces are up!! Please let us know if you have any trouble with the new website. PLEASE NOTE: New UD Free Shipping and Goodies code is: UDFS -- the awesome thing is I don't think it's case sensitive with the new website. :peace: :D

Is there anyway I can receive this dicount if I already paid? :( I tried the FCshipsFree code and it doesn't work anymore. If not oh well.

Hope this thing is as great as everyone says! I'm really excited.

I am now the proud soon-to-be owner of this gorgeous piece:

I see your order, I think there's a comment too about the code not working (we had to change, new website has limit of 10 characters for coupons) - I'll make sure Dave refunds the shipping charges!

Congrats on your new beauty!

Just ordered a 3 pack of the gongs and included a note about the shipping code and couple other minor things I noticed. The new site looks and feels great! Beautiful refresh as well!

Just visited the website for the first time in a while... loving the new interface, and also the new accessories. I agree with the prices seeming very reasonable, I may have to pick up a few odds and ends for the Pup soon.

Anybody know what the lip is for? It seems more functional than aesthetic.

I'm guessing it's just for look, but I could be wrong. Dave might have some sneaky under the works, but i'm betting just aesthetics.

Good looking refresh dave, some killer dogs

Haha, yeah it kind of does look like it's supposed to attach to something.. but it's just aesthetic.

Thanks for all the feedback on the site everyone, much appreciated. I've got to finish up more shop work then will answer some emails and comments that were sent in.. should be able to get to those this evening.

:o Seems like I have missed a lot in UD land. I really dig the new site! I guess the silicone tubing item is still by ft and quantity # would be how long the section? I've been putting that off much longer than I should have for school bills:p. And the containers are nice, definitely going to be picking up a couple of those.

Also some nice looking pieces in the update. The chocolate spruce and california walnut especially:brow:.

Well, I promised Dave I would let him know what I thought of the Underdog, and it looks like I'm finally getting around to keep my promise.

On opening the box, my first impression was surprise... there were certainly a lot of goodies, and the device was much tinier than I was expecting! I pulled it out and caught a whiff of that deep and familiar finished maple smell. Did you know Ambrosia maple gets its patterns from an infestation of beetles boring tunnels in the wood? I think that adds a really cool dimension/story to the piece, and the pattern is absolutely gorgeous. Got some free stash jars and UnderButter from the coupon code, which has been very nice to keep the unit shiny. Shipping was great, it came less than a week after I ordered to the East Coast.

Anyway, the first run of the pup was about two hours later, after I had just gotten off a plane from Europe on about 48 hours of no sleep. At a party no less. 25 minutes after getting plugged in and set to 13.3, we were all disappointed. Surely this light browning was not all the vape had to offer. It took another 20 minutes to heat up fully, but by that time we were all sold, going through quite a few stems on the 1 foot silicone over the next six hours. I figured I would get the 1 foot and cut it down if it was too long, easier than regretting the hot vapor of too short a stem. My intuition was correct, and I cut the stem into two pieces: one ~8", one ~4". A good balance of warm and cool vapor options.

The real reason I bought the Underdog was for the glass on glass. In that area it shines, fogging up anything I throw at it. It's quite an enjoyable experience that can even be overwhelming at first. You don't expect one or two tiny stems to have such a sedating impact, but this is a powerful device, make no mistake.

One night I fell asleep in the middle of the day (jetlag) and woke up to see the VVPS running at 16.8V. It must have been like that for two hours and was very hot to the touch. I was super apprehensive about this... the manual claims that merely leaving the device at 14 for over 5 minutes may create permanent damage. I unplugged the device, let it cool and rest for a few hours, and started it back up at 12.6V. Performance since then has been fine, and I even feel like that accident "broke in" the device and eliminated a bunch of its quirks. Do not recommend though... ;)

I got the classic core because I loved the look of the piece. Was not disappointed, I will not miss Nylon stems. I pretty much exclusively vape glass on glass, and the silicone and my other vapes will be fine when I have no access to glass.

The only flaws I can see are the heatup time (20-30 mins) and the fact that, for the first few days, the brand new dog let off a strong smell of toasty wood. Especially at 13V, it overpowered the vapor smell it produced (which is saying something as the vapor is dense). After my incident running at 16.8 this was strongly diminished. Weeks later, the smell is present but faint. It tingles my nostrils if I inhale near the heating element.

The VVPS is a great tool... temperature control is very flexible, from the low end (~12V) which can extend the lifespan of a bowl to the high end (~13.8V) which can really blacken bowls. My routine is 9V when idling, 12.9-13.4 vape temp, depending on mood.

If you have not cleaned your screen in a while and notice draw restriction, do it. As with all vapes that use this style stem this is the single best step you can take to increase efficiency, potency, and airflow. I say clean every week, it takes two minutes to swirl the screen in some iso and alternate iso soak with hot water draining through it over a sink. Two minutes, good as new.

And so that's how I've been passing the nights and days- in a haze of work and contented relaxation, getting to know my new dog and getting ready for Fall to come. I hope you guys have all had a good night, I'll show you some nice pics I took of the fellow. Cheers :)

Beautiful dog, and great write up man!

My wood smell is totally gone now, so I'm guessing in time your's will fade completely as well. And the warm up time is defiantly a problem when I'm rushing to get some vapors, but I've left my dog on pretty much 24/7 for a year or so now to resolve that :p.

I totally agree about the screen part. I actually worry I'm a bit crazy about it I think I change my screen almost every day :freak: There is not much better than the first hit with a new screen :p

Anywho.... I've been dabbing exclusively for 4 days now since getting my ti nail. Your post made me grab for my trusty dog who, guess what, was warmed up waiting for my return!

Awesome. Definitely agree with you on all points, the heatup time is over all a nonissue for me as the vape will be staying on my coffee table 24/7. Dabbing and using the Underdog... enjoy that heavy and fresh taste :haw:.

Now that I have your attention, are there any suggested ways to clean a heavily gunked with beeswax + oil aromatherapy cup?

And how many beeswax balls do you guys tend to put in?

@ Hellomyfrients - Thanks for taking the time to write up such a detailed report, glad to hear you're enjoying your Dog so much. :)

@ Payton - I just pour out (if it's melty) or scrape out the majority of it and then use a few qtips and some ISO to clean things up a bit and call it good. I usually only put enough wax in to make it 1 layer deep then how ever much oil suits my mood.

Just got my second Underdog in the mail yesterday, this time with the 14mm gong attachment... all I've gotta say is that I was BLOWN AWAY on the first hit! I've never vapor bonged with a log vape before (only stems), so this was just absolute falling in love at first puff I tell ya. The flavor is off the charts, more so than with the stems imo. But what makes the night & day difference is use with glass. The high slapped me across the face immediately and knocked me down for the count after a ten minute sesh.

Pairing the UD up with a Worm/2ba 31-arm bubbler gives you massive, mind-melting hits:

Alright, these are my First impressions after taking my Dog on its maiden voyage just a bit ago.

Wow! This thing is simply awesome. I hardly put anything in, yet it feels like I put in nearly twice as much. On top of that my plant material only turned an orangeish brown with some hints of green, so I think there's still some life left in it. I reckon I can save that for later use! Seems more efficient even than my old dugout. If it continues to deliver without giving me problems, I think my days of home combustion are done.

It was very easy to use, I just plugged it in, set the voltage (~12.7) and waited for it to heat up. The hits were real smooth and not too hot. For this first run I was using the glass stem with silicon tip which worked great. The glass did get a little bit hot for one hit, I dropped the voltage to about 12.3 and that seemed to cool it down. Taste was fantastic, I even like it better than the taste I get from combustion, though YMMV depending on preference.

Once I was done I dropped it to 9v for standby.

Anyway, I can post a more detailed review once I've had some bonding time with my new pup. So far, my initial expectations have been exceeded. This thing is great and seems to have been well worth the purchase.

Couple photos (will post better ones next time):

^^ Thanks, I really like the look of it as well, they did a great job.

It reminds me a bit of a chess piece. Though my friend said he thought it looked kind of like a pepper shaker, which I now can't stop picturing it as.. Either way, I certainly love the look of it :D

Also anyone have any recommendations for things to use with the aromatherapy cup?

I found a set of essential oils on ebay for cheap that work great with the cup. Just poke around and you'll find lots of good stuff on ebay or amazon.

Yes!
$3 mini bottles of oils each with their own glass dropper. Certainly a fair deal IMO

http://underdogvapes.com/vape-accessories/aromatherapy

I figure the mini bottles we sale are an easy way for people to try different scents without having to spend a bunch.. then when someone finds something they like they can always go buy a bigger bottle somewhere. :2c:

My favorite (for now) is Lemongrass but on occasion I'll bust out the Nag Champa.
