The grav labs reclaimer might help harvest all that good sublimate.....im gonna grab one with my sub for two reasons.....the screeching sound that you folks describe would no longer be a concern. And the reclaim aspect...easy fill jar no mess.
I was going to grab one of these initially, but then PV said they were releasing one specially designed for the sub. Not sure what the ETA is though.

The Grav Labs reclaimer will not work with the Sub, you can see a picture of the Grav Labs reclaimer here https://www.planetvape.ca/grav-labs-reclaimer.html You will notice it has a male joint on top, the Sub needs a female joint. You can buy an adapter to mate the male Sub to the male Grav Labs but with the extra height and bulk it might be unstable.

Screeching sound?, not sure what that is, but nothing a reclaimer will have anything to do with.

The SubBuddy Reclaimer has a female joint on top and a carb for easy clearing without having to lift off the atomizer. This is the third prototype on our Blaze bubbler, production starts next week and we will shorten all tubes to make it as compact as possible while still having enough clearance to fit bubblers and straight tubes.

The screeching sound, i believe, is the metal on metal sound of the atomizer stem and the launchpad base female assembly. i cannot attest, as i dont yet won this sweet device...but i soon will. and actually a reclaimer might indeed, fix the entire problem. glass on metal will not screech so to speak...imo. but yes..i plan on owning this sweet reclaimer as well as a sublimator. can someone show a pic of your kaw please?

It's not a pleasant or remotely musical sound, and it is pretty loud. But I don't find it as annoying as say, fingernails on a chalkboard or a baby screaming a row or two removed from me. It's also over quite quickly, but I can see how it might bother others more than myself--maybe it's a frequency thing. Just please don't use any more ptfe to fix it, that stuff is nasty!

I'm actually thinking of plotting out a version of the ptfe bushing, and then trying to re-create it on a buddy's lathe with hardwood. It's the only other material that I can imagine working besides glass or ht silicone, both which would be problematic for this application. I am also open to suggestions!

I noticed that the ptfe bushing could be shaped differently to offer more stability earlier, so it's not just paranoia about persistent toxins.

Is the bong in the picture this one? Definitely want to order one even without the SubBuddy.

Be careful using this with weed newbies. A friend who only smoked a joint now and then took one small hit of a sativa off the Sub, was super baked for the rest of the night and has now sworn off weed completely ;( At least if they really want to try it, give them an indica so they just pass out.

All I hope for the reclaimer is no drag.

I'm thinking the airflow is going to be bad by the time everything gets gunky. I imagined the sublimator dipping into the jar which would be bigger and extended so that build up could be possible.

I wish someone would tell us how the enailaitor reacts with herbs.....i wanna know if it is remotely close to the sublimator in herbal performance...probably isnt, but just for science sake....please someone show me a pic of your kil-a-watt...

Anyone everyone think of rigging their atomizer as an extractor to make bho?

I was hoping you could collect all the thc off of reclaim on the atomizer during the process. I know the size of the atomizer is not ideal, but it could be cool.

PV...that rig looks sweet! How is it with concentrates? What I mean is, my current rig puts my head at an angle that doesn't allow me to see the Apollo unit while sucking, so I am working hard to get the dab in the hole when I am hitting it. Yours night have enough of a curved mouthpiece to where you can see well. How does it do with this?

It only vaporizes it. Not sublimate

One thing that's interesting to me is when I dump out my load, if the abv stays together it is dark chocolate brown throughout, except the outer crust which is still a lighter golden brown. So the inside gets cooked more thoroughly than the outside on full extraction, this thing is like a microwave that way!

Confused
It's how Enrico described the difference awhile back...apparently, there is too much heat in the bowl due to the design of the Ti nail, to give you the same, smooth effect as the sublimator for herbs. Would love to test them side by side to see if it is detectable.
I can let you know as soon as I get mine I've been waiting for the reclaimer from PV to come out before I get the the nail and Apalo

Really dialing my Sublimator technique now. Running ultra fine screen under stock screen. Bubble hash gums the inside of the stock screen pretty fast. Using less herb with the sub then when I first received it. Couldn't hold my hits in long enough because there was too much vapor. Now I pack smaller packs, stir the bowl mid hit and try to hold it in deep for 10 to 30 seconds.

Still haven't tried a double decker. Maybe later today.

I agree I also have been noticing that bubble hash gums the second screen pretty quickly, I was using a titanium screen on top and a stock sublimator screen on the bottom. I found that using the bent( concave ) titanium screen changed the performance of the sublimator slightly. I noticed that my bowls werent getting cooked evenly like how they used to, Im not sure if this has been mentioned earlier, if so i apologize. Id like to hear other peoples thoughts on the performance difference of concave / straight screens in the sublimator.

When you say bent( concave ) titanium screen, are you referring to the stock grill?

If so I believe that they are made of stainless steel.
