gdfcking fck fck! Now I want green! I think I'll throw a temper tantrum here at work, should I do it in the break room or wait for the meeting in the conf room later?

In my mental image of this scene you are wearing frayed purple trousers. :p

Edit: It also looks somewhat like the third image from the top, in the post above. :/

These colors would be pretty sweet for a vape
Organic Mustard; Gun Metal Grey; Skeleton Warrior White

Instead of worrying about which colour to make the Fanatic EVOs, they could take the cases for the Fanatic units, paint them with conductive paint, and effing CHROME THEM. Take advantage of the smooth surface the moulded part has. Probably wouldn't be that expensive per-unit if doing a batch of 20 at once. As long as there's no printing on the casing (I assume all the text is moulded?), the end user should be able to hand-polish it to an absolutely ridiculous showroom shine (though it'd be pretty damn shiny already).

Now, the whole vapouriser is a goddamn disco mirror, reflecting all the colours and bubbles in your worked, limited edition hydratube... Ooo...

For some reason I have the sneaking suspicion that even if the EVO were to come out as PeptoBismol pink, puke-pea green, or diarrhea brown (not suggesting they do, though!), I'm still gonna love it and say it's the coolest, most badass thing around. I'm really not getting this thing to make a fashion statement, and I really don't think the VXL team is going to let me down, no matter what their design team decides in the end. $1000 was a trust-fall I was more than happy to make after reading all the reviews of how their product produced vapor, and how the VXL team has responded to customer feedback.

Almost there...
Since i am just an Early Bird...
I choose BLACK!!!
The hardest part for me is what glass to go with.
Never been a glass user and only used friends bongs a few times, so not sure what would be a good option.
I am leaning towards straight with ice pinches though...for now...

Love all the feedback and we'll do our best to make sure we choose a great shade of green. We are somewhat limited in that the high temp polycarb that we chose doesn't have quite as many colors as traditional materials but we'll make sure it looks cool.

On a side note, love the slider ads in the contest, I'd be very interested to hear what the rest of you guys think. Can you give the contributors some feedback? http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/vapexhale-com-slider-image-contest.10467/#post-436127

The ice pinches are great. I now use that tube exclusively. I though am choosing white to contrast with my original cloud (so I will have white, black and green). That must be the colors of some flag or other.

I'm definitely looking forward to ice pinches, too, and those opal marbles were not only cool-looking but will probably be quite functional when it comes to grip and separating the HT from the EVO while pulling vapor.
As for white, black and green being the colors of some flag, quick research showed that there isn't one anymore, unless you're going to add red in there (Pan-Arab countries). Afghanistan used to be those colors post-Soviet-friendly regime (1992-2001), but that changed with the Taliban (who went all white) and now they also are flying Pan-Arab colors.

Eleven, I like most of your greens that you put up...especially the darker ones.

As a fanatic I am also still waiting for more clarity about our options. For my first ever piece of glass though, I'm going to choose a straight neck with ice pinches.

It would be pretty fantastic if the unit and custom glass piece ended up meshing together in the way of colors when all is said and done.

I don't think there is any more clarity about our options. There is the choice of glass as you mention. The Limited EVO color will be a shade of green chosen by VXL. What's left?

What about the color on the design of the "custom" HT? Is it going to be that green and black we saw on the picture or do we have a choice of color or a mix of colors?

The design itself as well? Would they ask us how we want it or is that also chosen for us?

For me...if we did get to choose a color or colors then that wouldn't be hard for me to decide upon. From the research I've done so far regarding custom tubes on VXL and a customers result of one...it would seem that you are given these choices.

I could be wrong, though if someone would like to post on behalf of a custom HT they have bought from VXL in the past then I and many others would greatly appreciate it. :spliff:

Can't stop the head rush!
Hey all, its been a long time since I posted. I have an original, what are now called clicker (cool name) clouds. Mine is still going strong minus the fact that the bamboo is loose. I'm sorry to hear about others heaters going out on them, I don't know what I'd do without my cloud, or its clicking sounds. I had an issue with my initial cloud, and vxl was amazing at solving the issue and made sure I didn't spend very much time without a working cloud.
My friend just recently told me about your peer funding and I've been trying to get caught up a bit on what's been happening during my absence, but unfortunately it appears I've just missed my opportunity to take part. Am I really too late and have ro wait until October to order a new cloud? I would really like to chip in my small part to help out vxl after all they've done for me, and let's be honest...who wouldn't kill for a new cloud. If I have to wait that's cool too, I'll definitely still buy one. Really sorry if this has already been discussed, I haven't found it anywhere yet and am really anxious to hear the answer!!

Yes, in the past there were a few custom HT's but AFAIK those were exceptions and, given the circumstances then, I wouldn't presume that as an option now. And I don't recall there having been any announcement from VXL in regard to customizing the indiegogo campaign HT's (other than the choice of necks).

Probably these posts will result in a clarification from VXL.

You might try opening a Support Ticket with your question and/or PM'g the monkey? VXL is still tabulating results from the campaign. No way to know if you can finagle your way in without asking.

exactly!!!! I was going to sit back and not say anything but if I owned the company I would send all these ungrateful people their money back that's JMHO. You all are getting a great deal and VXL is doing you a favor by allowing you to pick color and neck preference. Just leave it at that

As it turns out, you won't get to choose your colors, just the neck style. If everyone had a custom color, I guarantee you that we miss our October launch. There was no customization earlier, we decided to be nice to allow straight/bent neck which believe me, with the amount of mind changing we've already received via emails, is becoming a bit of a nightmare. Please understand that every time someone changes their mind, that is time out of the day that we have to take away from making sure every other moving part is accounted for in order to hit our October launch.

One thing I would like to clarify is that you are going to see a bit of a process change with VapeXhale. All the single "exceptions" we used to make in the past, have come back and haunted us. The most obvious is "We're giving you a deal, please keep it between us" and 5 minutes later its on FC.com and then everyone emails us asking for the same deal. This is not us becoming more "corporate", this is us understanding that for this company to survive, we have to make rules and stick by them or else we are stuck in this loop of replying back to pleading customers and feeling bad for them and caving in and then we get flooded with hundreds of similar requests and then productivity just halts. Hope everyone understands that this is a decision that is not anti-customer, it is a decision that will help our company avoid similar past pitfalls so we can be a healthy, productive organization.

RE: People that missed the Indiegogo Campaign, we will start taking "pre-orders" off another site designed for campaigns that have just ended. The cost savings won't be as much but there will be a small monetary incentive versus waiting for the launch. More details to come as we set up the infrastructure to do so. Amazing how many emails we got from people that said they were going to wait til the last minute to donate... there was no prize for contributing last. Nevertheless, we've received enough of these emails where we decided to go ahead and figure out a way for the laggards to contribute as well.

BTW - laggard isn't a derogatory term, its something I just looked up on thesaurus.com as I needed to find the appropriate word for my description. Happy Friday yall!

Lastly - Welcome back Mr Smoke No More!

This is a welcome policy adjustment. Companies that manufacturer standard products as does VXL, and then start offering "specials", find themselves with both customer satisfaction and financial headaches which have a tendency to bleed off and affect regular operations. In the firms I've worked for that did specials, invariably we faced the choices of discontinuing the practice altogether, building up a specials arm with its own business model so that if could be effectively managed, or using true pricing which effectively dampens demand (fully-loaded direct labor, plus uplift on materials, plus an indirect labor surcharge for exception handling). Even w/o margin built in, the cost of a special if correctly calculated is typically substantially greater. VXL is not and should not be a job shop, it's a tight-margin volume operation that needs standardization and uniformity. This is a good decision for all of us.
