Thats what I thought- perhaps if I placed it on a coffee table close to where my girlfriend relaxes on the couch- it would work better that way I would think

But perhaps who uses it on a normal basis might chime in with some tips using the potpourii dish

I have actually had the same idea (bigger bowl). The green that remains at the top acts as a flavor filter to some degree, and can be stirred into the mix later in the session to extend the session/s. To me, makes good sense! :tup:

I agree, the small bowl size is a very common complaint so I would guess that if a bigger (deeper) bowl would work as well either arizer or PV would have offered it by now

Forget that. Doesn't work at all. I think the dish is just a prop for legal reasons.

I don't think that would work either, that dish really is fairly worthless. If you are looking for a device to do double duty like that, your best bet is the DBV or SSV, I have also read the dish on the EQ works much better than the solo but the other 2 both work well

The bowl size is perfect the way it is.
I put a Glass DAISY screen and it takes up a little room.
Then again if you have IRON LUNGS GOD BLESS YOU!

The SOLO gets me so MEDICATED with the stock stems!

I guess I'm a light weight?

These things are dirt cheap and with a POWER ADAPTER!
I haven't used the portable feature in 6 weeks!

@ataxian I agree I think the bowl is fine just as is and I have a domed screen in mine. Even when I'm with friends it is easy to empty and repack. I could see others wanting more though

Does anyone know if the vapexhale hydratubes work with the solo? To me they seem a lot better then using the pinnacle hydrotube. regardless I'm planning to try making my own diy bong/perc for the solo, I've seen some cool ideas on the internet

Yes they will work, you just need an 18mm GonG stem, but the VX HT are probably overkill for the solo. A small bubbler is really all you need to cool the vapor from the solo. Bigger pieces are better for the really heavy hitters like the VXC, Sub, LSV.

That was my exact thought in regards to the bigger bowl post .

Bought a Solo last week. Absolutely love it. Bought one of Ed's wooden stems and it doesn't fit in. Don't want to jam it in. Even unscrewed the top of the Solo and tried to fit it directly in the chamber, no good. Matched it up to a glass stem and the wooden one has a definitely larger diameter. Actually called Ed and and asked him about it, he had never heard of this problem. The Solo's serial number begins with M1A. Was wondering if anyone has heard of this happening. Not a big deal, I can live with the glass stem and can return the wooden one.

Weird! Ed's stems definitely take more force to fit in, and are a much tighter fit...I have two and luv em! Try a bit more force to get it in before returning, just for curiosity sake. Shouldn't hurt anything, IMO.

No it doesn't work .

I inserted an NO2 screen 1 inch into the stem .
Sucked up the herbs , and inserted into the Solo .
First , the stems were real loose , being thinner at that end .
An O-ring helped a little , but I just couldn't get any vapors .
I think TOO MUCH herbs impeded the air path .
I can see the bottom layer getting brown tho .

A slightly larger/deeper bowl PVHES might work , with the turbo opening ,
basically , the opposite of a ' shorty ' .

Ok, finally got it. Unscrewed the top and and twisted ed's stem around until I made the hole slightly larger and it fit through. Had to do the same to get in into the chamber. Works fine, but glass tubes are real loose now. Not sure if I might have messed up the o-ring a little. Saw in an earlier thread that they can be purchased online. Should be easy to change I imagine. Anyway, I'll make it work. Thanks for the help Snappo !

Now last time my friends and I had a 3/4 pill bottle of light abv (4 people) which we put in taquitos. Which got us all a decent high. Now I just started saving my abv again and lately have been going up to 7 so its a lot darker and much denser. Picture:

We are planning to put 1 more gram of abv in there but I'm wondering if its enough to eat for tomorrow or if we should hold off, since it isnt a whole lot (5, 6, 7gs?)
Just for a bonus, also planning to scrape my stem tomorrow:

that stem oil is going to go a lot further than the abv. IME 5-7g of ABV from some very good AK was only one really good dose.

aroma bowl will not fill the room...a foot or two yes but very mild not enough heat to bowl. If you want to do that get a db or an ssv with the aroma top.
