Great Scott!
I think that's wonderful, but before you dive in please leave your ID and car keys on the counter? No way you're staying out of the deep end.......

OF

We will see about that buddy. I find too much strength and I feel negative effects from bud. So much so that I can't pack a cloud bowl half full without getting the anxious twitches that seem like a seizure (but now that I know what they are they just suck to deal with). I need small bowls not a big rush at once. I'm going to have to be very careful with concentrates, hopefully the EO cart makes that easier than say a TI nail where I have to dab it all at once.

I really need this to be effective for chronic pain.

This was 7 grams of chem dawg and 1 gram of ABV - I used a new 5 time refined fuel.

http://www.amazon.com/Jetline-Premi...qid=1375913111&sr=8-1&keywords=jetline+butane

Worked out superbly! I got that gas for 5.99.

I was able to get almost 1.5 ml's as well with the zero waste method with Ethanol.

That's very impressive!

16 grams of GSC'S top flowers should give me 3 grams?

What do you think mvapes?

That looks beautiful, great work! The cloudiness of the liquid is due to the wax content. If you were to winterize and filter off the wax, the Virgin Ejuice should be clear and transparent. The best part is that it will taste even better than it looks!

You know what, this might be JUST what I've been looking for! I will always, always vape flowers and I sure do enjoy me some goooood concentrates straight off my Ti nail or my Dabbler.

But the stealth value of the ecig method has a lot going for it. Personally, I've only ever tried the O.pen and the Trippy stick oils as well as the Pure Gold concentrate. The latter being, by far, the strongest but it is basically pure Sativa and while I enjoy Sativas, my particular condition(s) respond best to Indicas.

I want to say that this company is, IMHO, first rate. I've been dealing with a gentleman from the company and though I've spent ZERO thus far, he's treated me like a long time, honored customer! These guys are really trying to provide, IMHO, a way to prepare boutique-level evape products. I was hoping, really hoping, to be able to just buy them in my local dispensaries, but their prices for even mediocre evape cartos are outrageous compared to doing it myself.

Anyway, I've not purchased...yet...but I'm watching and learning and getting real close.

Aren't these "oil slick pads" just Silpat's (silicon mats) marketed for the concentrate community.

here they are http://www.amazon.com/Silpat-Non-St...ie=UTF8&qid=1375916295&sr=1-1&keywords=silpat

I was thinking the same exact thing. I already have some of these for baking.

This Just in.........

Just got this email:

Hi Mr. Weiner, thank you for your order, your unit shipped out today and you should receive it tomorrow or the day after. Thank you again!

-Liquidizer Team

This is awesome!

I already have 10 300ML cans of 5X refined Vector butane. (Leftover from my iolite/Whisper days)

Around 6 ounces of various goodies.

The 1.7 liter bottle of Everclear arrives tomorrow.

Now the Liquidizer is coming tomorrow or Friday.

Its going to be a great weekend!

If they're just fucking silpats I have a ton of those.

Atax: I would feel more like you may get 2 solid grams from that load. Are you making liquid or sap brother?

Mr. Dabs: welcome to thread. Feel free to PM me if you need any info on the liquidizer. I've helped many and have no issues helping more. Just remember - Yoshimattsu was my first, he'll always be special. :lmao:

OMG - now tax is going to know I have other friends....:disgust:

Thanks, mvapes, much appreciated. I'm sure once I pull the trigger and get going, I'll have a lot of questions.

do the e-pens last longer with winterized extract?

I haven't tried winterizing yet. I will though on my next batch so I can share the results with you. And to answer my earlier comment about dabbing.

I keep a syringe filled with the ethanol batch. This has no PEG added, straight concentrate. I have a quartz nail that looks like a small cup. I heat like usual with my torch and shoot a few drops on the hot nail. Hoooowee - that stuff tastes better than sap or honey and it's so much cleaner.

I will try and get a vid up!

Thanks for the report, that's consistent with what we would expect, the PG/PEG blend acts as temperature buffer absorbing the most intense heat and delivering the oils at lower temperatures in a denser cloud.

We're very excited for you because once you try winterizing you'll be blown away all over again! Not only is the oil obviously purer, but in the absence of waxes (which have over 650F boiling points) the flavors and essence are delivered a lower temperature still. Your experiences will just keep getting better, especially once you've tried toasting your herbs first for darker oils, yum!

No they are not. I don't have the info available, but I remember for sure reading other places that the slickmats were made using different grade of silicone or something like that. In either case I trusted whatever I read and figured a couple bucks for a one time fee was worth it for peace of mind. I love my slickmat and I'd really suggest getting one over using something questionable.

Their old line is made of medical grade silicon not "food" grade they still do not recommend to place liquid butain in their products because butane being a non-polar solvent pulls silicon out even in their new line of mats that are made of a new silicon. So all i do is use the mason jar method and let all butane evap and add everclear straight in and mix until fully remelted. Then 24 hours of winterizing and a refilter then i pour the everclear mixture onto the mats because "polar" solvents are supposed to be non reactive to silicon

The "Oil Slick Pads" came from Silpats. The only difference is that the Oil slick pad use more silicone (thicker) and have a fiber weave so they last a bit longer than Silpats would.

Here is the thread with the manufacturer ("OILSLICK") explaining: http://www.nwgt.org/archive/index.php/t-8184.html

OILSLICK

Well the batphone is ringing, so in an effort to start off on the right foot over here I figured i should make an account so that i can address any questions about the pads.
also, i should disclaim that i do not sell the pads directly, just manufacture. smokeyfish does a bunch of stuff for lots of MMJ outlets and i asked him to carry our products. get in touch with him or the online store if you are interested.
SILPATS. yep that IS where we got the idea. not the demarle models excactly, but i have a culinary background and had tried using a silpat for handling oil in the past.
they are thin, they break down, the borders fray, and they curl up if you use a hotpad to purge on. a week of use and you have bits of silicone in your oil. not good to smoke.
so for the past year we have been making fiber impregnated silicone to order. the material we use for the oil slicks are about twice as thick and contain 3 times the fiber core. the technology is closer to the material used in commercial bacon frying conveyors, than the material used for a baking sheet.
the cost of our material is also double the cost of thinner looser weave silicone, but i believe we are no more expensive than any alternatives you could conceive of.
and the green and Oil Slick thing dont cost a penny more.

EDIT: mmm fried bacon.....

Absolutely, we would say you'll get two to three times as much vapor from a standard cartomizer before experiencing the same flavor degredation that you would with unfiltered juice.

thank you.

is it strictly about flavor or is the life of the cartomizer extended too? I'm unclear how bad the waxes are for the equipment...

waxes turn to ash.. also have a much higher combustion temp. so thats double trouble for the pen

Absolutely, waxes are the enemy and really should be avoided. There is absolutely no benefit to vaping wax. Wax is harmful to inhale, causes the coil to consistently run hotter taxing both coil and battery, waxes clog the air inlets much more so than liquids, and of course waxes spoil taste and flavor.

The performance of Virgin Ejuice is in every way superior to unfiltered Ejuice. Vaping waxes and other heavy hydrocarbons is absolutely more harmful that residual butane. That's why we hope to start a change where users better spend their time winterizing liquids rather than purging butane.

At the moment people discuss how brittle or hard their extract is and that's fine (and words like "hard", "glass", "snap", "shatter" really mean "wax" "wax" and "more wax") but a better topic is how much wax has been filtered off, how clear the resulting liquid is, and how smoothly it flows demonstrating the absence of wax - that's the stuff of angel's tears. Wax free is the way to be, and it's easier than purging.

I am who I am and your approval isn't needed!
I have never pulled waxes by winterization with alchool using butane extraction (calibri)... yes definitely with ISO extractions, and what 'looked like waxes' using cheap butane (although I suspect what was cleaned was in fact NOT waxes but crap in the butane).
