MiniVAP Vaporizer

Once I get my xp back I'll be selling the XP, the solo, and the T1 so I can buy this thing!! I think the best arsenal for my usage is to have the cloud, sublimator, and the minivap. That will serve all my needs :)

I'd hold off for a bit. The rumor mill says that VapeXhale is going to come out with a portable. The miniVap is a damn good portable, better than anything I have ever tried. But if anyone can make a better one it is VapeXhale. It also seems I am on the VapeXhale beta test team so if I get to try it I will report on it if I am allowed to.

I'm guessing it will be quite a while before we see their portable. I'd assume their hands are going to be pretty full with the nimbus/eagle/thing.

Could anyone compare the minivaps draw resistance to that of the original inhalator?

I would say let them first fix al the issues they are having with getting a desktop model to work and keep on working(sorry, but I myself do not like their track record so to speak, yes they made a great product, but I feel I can say they definately had issues to keep them up and running)...

I would not hold my breath...:2c:(ps not dissing vapexhale, just reminding of what is reality)

Lets get back to the minivap;)

Well, the price tag was my major problem with this device too. But after trying it in person, I saved up for more then a year, little by little, to get one of these beauties.

Now, several months later, I could not be more happy with that decision. It was worth every penny!

I think the people from minivap would do good by trying to get to as many 'gatherings' of likeminded people and let them use this device.

I am still amazed first and foremost about the flavor on this unit. Yeah, I do not own a cloud so I can not compare it, but I have used many vaporizers and this minivap definately kicks most their ass. I own a solo too and found it hard to believe a better flavor could be achieved, seeing the 'all glass' mythology...

I don't think the Solo has such a legendary flavour... at least i notice quite a difference from my logs to the Solo. And the Logs have metal in the airpath. Plus, the all glass is just the stem, there is still air coming from the bottom of the unit which runs through the electric parts. If you don't believe just try to cover the bottom and see if the air resistance increases or not.

Logs with a glass stem are only beaten by all glass units like gn0me, vapocane, VG glass or the cloud and minivap. The Solo is definitly a level or two down in terms of flavour.

Anyone knows when is the new minivap with the glass air path coming out? Roger, any clues to when it could be from what Jorge said to you about it?

The Solo now is a bit less expensive, but you can get a HI for 140USD plus a 10USD stem. So, it's the same price really.

In terms of portables, well, i prefer the flavour of my Vaponic, although in the end of the bowl the Vaponic has a bit more conduction, the air is much cooler.
I love my Solo, it's one of the best all-around vaporizers and the best all-around portable. But i never really got the "amazing flavour".. i'm sure the ceramic solos had a better flavour though, at least according to trusted sources.

The minivap loses in terms of size... it's a home portable, much more than the Solo is. And of course, it's almost 3x as expensive but IMO the Solo could have some design tweeks to improve flavour, different bowl and changing the air path would be sufficient and it would have a flavour similar to the MV at least when you use it without the stem permanently in the bowl to diminish conduction, for a much lower price.

When it comes to the other variables, the MV is a vaporizer than can replace your entire setup, minus a stealthy portable, without hindering on my most important variables in vaporizing, flavour profile and duration.

Hi everybody,
Could someone tell me how much is 0.1 ? for example with dry stuff; full basket ?
i know there is a lot of parameter. But not having a scale I just want to know.

You really should get a scale :)

I'd say (obviously depending on density, moisture content, etc etc) that a full basket not packed is maybe .1 ... a full MiniVAP bowl (without using the stainless basket) is probably about .2-.25 depending how fluffy it's ground and how tightly you pack it in. (obviously there is an ENORMOUS margin of error on this guess based on the fact that I don't know what your herb is like, what your grind is like, ....)

Hello,, l have a question:
ls it possible to buy the single minivap first and to get after the battery for portability?
l'm really interested about the MV but is expensive, l need to sell some unused vapes and perhaps if l wait the price down.

Yes you can do it, and also there's a new battery coming out in the future, that will be smaller, lighter for better portability and maybe cheaper.

@PPN I think that will be a long waith...I know about it being expansive, but I do have a feeling you get what you pay for, in this case a machine that will outperform any other portable on the market right now.

And I know it is not nearly stealthy...but this machine will actually keep up with the best table top models out there, so in a way I would say it is two in one :p

Guess what I really want to say is I would safe up again and do it all over again...I would have not bought the vapes I had before(wich counted together ammount to more then what the minivap costs) and went straigth to the minivap.

The one vape that I feel might keep up with the performance and flavor of the minivap is the Cloud. And I have not tried that one yet, but there are a few lucky ones on here that do have both machines and they said they were more or less the same:2c:

I also have a solo and for the price they are going now I would not hesitate to point you towards that one if budget is an issue but smoking is an even bigger one...

Anybody tried cutting of the silicon cone so you take the narrowing in the airpath out of the equasion?

I might try that this weekend, I have two... What I mean exactly is cutting the cone sligtly above the rim where the basket and screen are slided in. I noticed this fits an 18mm female joint. If I would do this, the biggest 'obstruction' to an even better airflow seems to be this very tip of the cone...

I don't know if this works, it might trow the MINIVap of course completely, it might not be 'calibrated' to operate with such an open airflow?

Maybe Roger has a clue?

if nobody knows, well then I have a little experimenting to do for the weekend:)

So i cut it, and it works:ko: only downside, my load is done twice as fast lol

i cut of the top part of the silicone, so I was only left with a little part of the cone, the rim for the screen and basket and juts a little bit of the cone itself that fits straigth over an 18mm inlet tube. So now have the tube connected to my bong, the cone attached to it tightly, and I just throw in the basket and can start my session.

airflow is at least 20percent up, tested it with my bong, see how high bubbles get, then cut the cone and bubbles were definately stacking higher with the same amount of effort. And from what i gathered for now, the heater seems to be okay with it and seems to be able to held the temp even at the higher draw speed...:2c:
