I'm using 2 stock screens and ive noticed it will need cleaning more often. Also i was having serious drag cause of the buildup inside. Extra screen does give me more clear sublimate but gonna give me more headaches litterally cause it get clogged faster :). Ah well guess the cleaning will get acustomed to me ^^. Anyone else got this stonelike consistency residue just above the atomizer? I scraped it off when it was still mellow then after that it turned stone hard..? wtf is that :o

here's some subbin' action for ya's

Jam, your atomizer seems shorter than usual, did you cut it down?

I'm super-subbed right now and had a stoner thought.

Have any of you guys gotten bat-shit crazy and put a crazy amount of weed in your Sub? I wonder what that's like!

Since it arrived, I've been subbing like a madman. Not loading party bowls, but definitely pushing the limits of what a "one-hitter" is, especially when I use a water tool with it. It's been great, but now it's time for a t-break! So I haven't subbed yet today, won't make it to 4:20 (goal for now) but will go at 2:20. Then 3:20 tomorrow, and 4:20 by hump day. Waking and vaping is fun but I don't get shit done sometimes, and it limits the fun later on so time to calm down and re-set the ol' tolerance.

I have loaded .1 to .4 and I have realized it is challenging to finish anything higher than .25-.3 in one rip. I haven't really had a problem with evenly vaping the nuggets, but I would suggest not trying to pack it down tight. My screen has flipped and the bud has gotten stuck in the atomizer downstem (yea I know I could solve this problem using the two screen setup but I'm lazy). That being said the sub can handle more than the suggested amount by enrico, but honestly there is no point so indulged in more bowls instead of multiple hits on one bowl. I love the standard .15, I think I pinch that exact amount now everytime haha.

Are you going dry or through a water tool? I find that my max dose more than doubles when I go through the blaze bong compared to the launchpad. Also I'm glad I took the time to wedge my stock grill in, it's not going anywhere.

are you saying that the lauchpad is more efficient?...or is the blaze smoother?

in the name of science, :science: i actually just tried dropping my watts to 28-29 and putting 3 flat (not heaving) pinches (spoon size) in. first hit lightly browned it. then a stir. 30 sec warm up after stir. then deep hard hit. i usually get a little on a 3rd. but the taste isn't the greatest, just getting the last of the actives. abv came out med-med/dark brown. def. not choclate, but good flavor for those two huge rips

Bob, that sounds just like using my SSV; in other words it sounds very un-sub like!

I can take is twice as much, and feel the effects proportionally :science:

I believe it's a combination of the increased airway volume of the blaze, and even smoother vapor because it's being diffused through water. I do wonder if the water takes anything away, particularily at the end of the evening. But yes I feel increased effect with the bigger hits.

Sometimes after a night of subbing I will do a bowl in my SSV at bedtime which I have to stir as Bob did above, and I feel a new level of sweet tiredness right before I hit the sack:zzz:

I think it's because with the 3rd/last SSV hit you are basically vaping decarbed abv, and it's a different effect than the first hits, or than a full-spectrum one-hit sub extraction.

edit: oh yeah my laser thermometer arrived today, looks like the exterior of the sub while in use peaks at about 290°f.

I go batshit crazy with my sublimator all the time. This morning I loaded .6-.7, threw some kief on top, then dabbed some sublimator reclaim through a vent hole. It ruined my day. No need to stir, but it will keep going for 2-3 massive thick hits then come out cooked all the way through, most cooked in the middle. Lots of fun :D

that's awesome, willeh!

I'm starting to find my sweet spot and it's higher than I thought it would be. I'm now looking for a nice, toasty tan. I used the Sub exclusively the last two days and decided to keep hitting it until I was ripped...took about three pinches. The great thing about it is that each bowl is so small that I don't care how many it takes. And the fucked up feeling from the Sub is pretty intense!

I'm starting to get a dark brown drip...good times coming soon!

Just got my Sub yesterday. I held down the top bottom for a sec or two and the light on the very bottom switch turned orange. Googled the switch and it appears the timer can be disabled? Press and hold the top button to initiate override or press and hold two buttons to convert the preset 30-minute timer into another time interval. Or did I just mess up by pressing the button a sec too long?

Also after I did this it may have done something to my temp setting. Going to get a killawatt. Sublimated.

No you got it right, that's how you keep it on for longer than 30 minutes. Just hold the 30 minute button, there's no 2-button code afaik.

Only thing I've noticed is that holding the 30m button doesn't turn it off but switches it to a 24h timer I think. Kinda frustrating when I keep it on all the time only to take a hit and realize the unit is cold.

I want this titanium upgrade to have the stock timer option; i.e: being able to leave it on for weeks at a time without having to think twice about it going off by itself...

Otherwise I'm not sure I would want to 'upgrade' certain components only to be downgrading others.

Well now I'm not sure; I left it on overnight and it was the only time I combusted with this thing so I don't leave it on overnight anymore. Plus I have a cat so I'm a bit paranoid about it when I leave the house.

Now I'm wondering if the timer override is 24/7 or only 24 hours, and if there are versions of each out there.

It wouldn't bother me if it was only 24 hours, but I can see how it would affect others and it would be good to know these things regardless.

I think that it would be awesome to have both options, maybe there's a two-button code for that after all?
