Discontinued The Sublimator

smokum

I am who I am and your approval isn't needed!
Ditto in my view as well !! Best damn purchase I've made in a longggg time.

Even my buddies love it, and particularly one who's a dab head that doesn't really get stoned anymore..... fucked HIM up hahaha :D

Robert from PV told me that yes, both heat up and cool down time are much faster. But titanium being a natural element offers a much cleaner taste. The weight is approximately half as much...and titanium is much more durable than ss. not that stainless isnt strong as hell...but.Rober also said that PV would have a trade in promo for the titanium for owners of the stainless model.

Nice one C-Weed! I wasn't too well informed on that thx for clearing it up :)
Sounds good to me!!

Does anyone have any recomendations for purchasing from any glass companies for a sublimator setup? I was set on a Mobius, but I just want something that has very high end perculation so I can have a water setup from time to time. Needs a very wide sturdy base.

I'm happy with the Blaze that PV has pictured with the adapt-a-bong. I'm not sure if its percolation is high-end enough for you though.

i had the black leaf, and while it's a decent piece, it's more for small dabs (despite female joint). i don't think the intake is long enough for the sub to fit by itself

What would you recommend Bob? Ive been in the market for a lil while now and I haven't found the right piece/company to purchase from. I'm looking for something with amazing filtration, a piece worth putting the sub on =P. Not the hugest fan of bongs, more of bubbler kinda guy. Ive been looking at Toro Glass, looks sweet but also packs a price tag.

anything with a wide base and low intake i just posted a piece i grabbed over in the cheap quality bubbler thread, you might find something you like (until PV comes out with something better, but they are on vacation).

If most people are running the sub dry, I would imagine buying a really nice high end piece that percs like crazy specifically for use with this would be an unnecessary expense? I would try running it through water and dry rips before a final choice. Would suck to sink an extra 4-500 into the set up then have that piece go unappreciated. I understand the desire for a piece like that, don't get me wrong on that count. Just my understanding that probably not 'worth it' for most, for exclusive sub use.

That said, a really nice tube probably wouldn't go unused either way. I'd basically just been checking out straight stemless pieces sans perc for if I should so happen to luck my way in to one of these, but it's always nice to have something of quality around.:brow:

the piece i posted is for under $150 (as is that thread) and has a double honeycomb to turbine.
i plan to use it dry for vapor, but with water for dabs.
can't wait to upgrade to the ti apollo

Not sure if response to me or above, but I didn't mean to make it sound like the piece posted above was a poor choice. Only that I had read a few high end names (mobius, toro, etc) that are generally associated with a pretty expensive price. Would suck to lay out THAT kind of money to end up using it dry is I suppose what I should have said. Then again, different strokes. I've had to live in the 'broke student' mentality for the past few years and spending even $50 more on something than I should, or when I don't need to can make the difference come the end of the week LOL.

gotcha, just timing or lack of quotes
i hear ya on the broke. was homeless as a youth and on the edge of poverty into my 30's so don't think i'm unempathetic.
i do currently use the sub on my mobius or cum dumpster for dabs and that is what scares me, 'specially after sticksones accident with his mobius. have that small bubbler i used in my video, but i'd like to have a dedicated piece as well as one that i don't have to crane my neck up to hit.

Wow dude ,
Not to get OT here .
Didn't realize you had a tough start in life . Sorry to hear that .

But anyone that owns a SUB and doing dabs = $ ,
sounds like you've done a 180 in your life .
Good on ya , keep it up .

largely due to luck, but i am very happy with my life now, and thanks so much for the kind words.
honestly it's mostly due to the wifey, going on 10 yrs. together. she's pretty special.
i can't tell you how much i enjoy the simplicity of dual dabs and vaping with this thing. i like it right between 35-36 for it. so gooood
Do you think it will really change the taste?

I do like the idea of quicker heat-up/cool-down

i am sure the taste'll change slightly, but the weight difference and the ability to torch the sucker clean is what i am attracted to. and the hippy in me is happy with the savings on the power.

EDiT - if you want to do larger dabs, turn the power up to like 38-39 and drop two dab in to holes at least one space apart

I am the master of misunderstood sarcasm and poor timing combinations .

I guess that's something I should have considered before posting that first one too. Anyone already owning one probably doesn't suffer too much on the financial end anyway.

I need to get off my ass and get a video together to win one.

me too, buddy, no offense taken ;P
yea ya do! not that i'll want the competition, but it'd be cheap to win with only one other contestant, :mental:

although, it isn't being judged 'til halloween so the top two will probably be titanium.
ohhhhh, nevermind. just go kick your camera a few times for me

You make a valid point ,
too much percs and diffusing will just impede the vapor path somewhat .
It was advised to me to hit it hard and fast .
The Blaze that PV offers has only the honeycomb in the middle , plus ice pinch .

edit ;
what , only one contestant ...hmmmm

LOL at this rate I'll have to bum one. I went to chat with a young lady a few days ago and eventually realized that my webcam shit it's britches some point along the past few months. But, school is also starting soon and that may be a decent enough reason to talk myself into a new laptop.

I'm expecting a mass uploading of videos next month, month and a half. I can't see something like this being ignored the way that thread has been so far. If it does, so much the better for the entrants haha.

Edit: because typos.

yea, i really like my mobius the most for water & dabs/combos due to low restriction.
honeycomb percs are supposed to have extremely low drag as well. and i'm hoping that if the drag is a little high (on the piece i posted about), water level will go a long way as well as allow it to maybe have enough diffusion dry for dabs . at 120 for an originally 250 piece, i am not stressed. if unloved by me it'll go to a good home.

how is the blaze honeycomb for drag, owners?

I'm thinking for instructions, even something as simple and a weblink to a page which can be updated as needed
hey guys, just purchased a sub and got some instructions from PV that seem to counter certain points made here, so I was hoping you guys could clear things up.

1. It expands into the lowpro but not the bong so no issue, it will detach once it's cool. You have to attach it to the bong since they don't recommend having both in the stand.

2. What I did was slightly dome the screen and push it in the hole. Then I pushed it from the bottom with a pen to align it with the first ledge and it's been stuck there ever since. I personally prefer it this way and if it wasn't stuck there I'm sure someone by now (even me) would have filled it without the screen resulting in an impromptu cleaning session.

3. I don't stir at all but my loads are usually small (0.10g).

-----
I was finally able to obtain some budder for dabbing and it works beautifully. I found that I can insert it in the hole and then quickly start inhaling which works better than trying to insert it with my mouth on the bong. Hard to to big dabs since the holes are so small but if you have a friend to help you they could stick multiple dabs in at once. I also tried a double-decker load last night and it nearly knocked me on my feet.

Robert explained that the TI took 3 times as long to fabricate as the ss......I was just about to grab a limited edition sub...but damn, i love TI so much that i think that i might wait. And on second thought....hearing you guys talk about this sweet device for 3 to 4 months might kill me.The trade in program seems kinda like a no brainer to me and i think that i will enjoy the sipping method that the limited editiion tube will offer. man o man i want a sublimator.A quick ? for sub owners....does the sublimate dab very easily in the side inlets?
