Discontinued Inhalater XP

This question is going to vary from member to member. Some people still have the first batch, which gets visible vapor from 4+. Then theres the third batch I believe, where all the units were calibrated too high, so you could get huge clouds on 2. So short answer, your answer will vary.

I personally don't see clouds when I use it outside (which is a lot), but inside theres lots of visible vapor around 4-5.

interesting..are there any ways to know what batch i have ??
What i m concerned about is if the inhalater xp i have is less efficient than others of a different batch

I have been using my XP daily for a couple of weeks now and it's great.

The only problem I am having is that sometimes that airflow is nice and easy, but other times it gets blocked. Sometimes this happens withing the same session. I tried cleaning the screen and sometimes it helps, but not always. Has anyone had this issue? Maybe I am grinding the herb too fine?

I assume it would be the current version with the most updated components. The older batches were instantly sold out and I doubt any retailers had any extra stock.

Hello fellow tokers.

I have not been on here in a while. While I am not using it as much, the inhalater XP still is giving me a satisfying experience. I will use it today again, in just a few minutes!

Some problems I had, which I saw other people post about, was that when you go to hit the inhalater XP, the light starts flashing green almost immediately and almost no vapor.

-This is because there is too much airflow, PACK IT DOWN for real, it took me quite a while to realize the simple mistake i was making was not packing it well.
-Pack it tight. Even if it isnt full, pack it down to reduce airflow and you will get way thicker clouds
-Hit it very slowly..like sucking on a straw
-Wait a few seconds between hits so that it properly heats up again

I often hold my finger over one of the intake holes to reduce air flow and therefore getting fatter hits. It seems that design of previous xps might have been better because they put off way bigger clouds. But now other posts i read from inhalater and other people said the older ones were calibrated too hot and there could have been slight combustion

If you watched the video I posted you will see that this baby can give off some nice vapor. From time to time I also notice that several minutes into the session it gets better and better, starts hitting way harder about 4 minutes in.. I don't know why this could be but it does seem to be kickin my ass.

Anyway, I woke up and saw that a capsule somehow broke off in the XP, knocking me down to one.
I read that FC members were told they could somehow acquire some free capsules from pharmacore..Does anyone know about this? Because i could definitely use them now ;)

But yeah mainly, After spending $250 on this bad boy, my first sessions were not satisfying at all, so it was upsetting, until i figured out what I was doing wrong. Others posted on here they were not getting any visible vapor before level 5 or so. I too had that problem but after packing it tight I can get good vapor starting on 3.
I usually run this unit on 6-7.

I don't know if its possible, but pharmacore you guys should definitely come out with some glass capsules!

edit: this post was too long, removed a lot of my rambling

This was mentioned in the Inhalater INH004 thread and the consensus was that glass would not work well for this purpose as it would take much longer for the substrate to heat and much more energy ( battery life).

MY serial number on my XP is XPB1046 which seems to be different from other ones they are producing.

Can anybody explain to me what the difference with the serial number is, and is my unit different from the current ones they are putting out? I received this in july and was just curious to why the units people are receiving seem to have a different serial, I thought mine was from the most recent batch so just wondering
I received mine in june though

Oh well, it does not matter. I am running mine on 5 right now and its kicking ass!!!

:) :):mmmm:

I have to stress it again, anybody who is using their inhalater and is unsatisfied by the clouds, make sure you pack it tight. Really tight..it took me like 2 weeks before I realized, and once I did i was getting really good clouds

I only say that because some people on here didn't think the vapor production high enough, that was my first thought but I was completely mistaken!
Battery life kicks ass too.. I last charged this thing like 6 sessions ago and the battery really lasts a long time..that was the turning point for me choosing Inhalater XP over another vaporizer...

I almost bought the puffIt when i first head about portables and didnt really know..hahaha..So glad i found fuckcombustion.com

This. Honestly, I always forget about that tip because it's just a routine for me. My routine is shredding the herb, sucking it up (easiest/cleanest method so herb doesn't get on the outside), using the back end of a pen to pack it down, then filling the rest.

Take a paper clip, bend it and you can pull it right up and give it a ISO bath.

As for the capsule/capsule screen, I just throw it in an ISO bath, it's fine. I once forgot about it and left it in for a week, no deterioration or anything. It was insanely clean when I finally risnged it though

I sent out my XP last friday, finally made it to Canada today(not delivered yet). That is about a week so far.

I honestly see myself without the XP for atleast another 2-3 weeks (maybe even more, wait and see).. Really unfortunate that we have to go through this when a unit breaks down.. Waiting almost over a month for a replacement is ridiculous, especially since this is a "medical device".

This leaves a real bad taste in my mouth, I did one of the first vid reviews showing performance of the XP, recommended it highly and stayed active providing information to some folks in this thread whenever questioned.

I just find it to be annoying with the way business is being handled, trillarab jst got a replacement and didn't send the broken one back first :hmm:.. But I thought that was policy to send the broken unit before receiving replacements??? :hmm: It doesn't make sense to me.

So I finally found a use for the free PV GonG attachment they threw in for me. Honestly, just the extra few inches cools the vapor quite a bit, it's super portable, and tastes better with a glass mouthpiece as opposed to plastic.

Also, what boggles my mind is that it seems like it made the unit way more efficient. Probably had about 8-10 small hits, and the herb was still green when I looked at it. Usually it's a lightbrownish color.

Cut the plastic mouthpiece and did a really shoddy job just to test it out. I'll probably spend some time to make the plastic cut nice and uniform since i'm planning on taking it everywhere with the INH.

OK! The replacement XP's of my bro and his friend finally arrived! Unfortunately only with one mouthpiece as bonus for the looong waiting. On the good side, they look great aside from the hand drilled USB port which looks worst in the pics than up close. The new stickers are finally simple and discrete. I love them. The numbers on the dial are also spot on! One dial is stiffer than the other but both are adequately hard to turn accidentally. The heating chambers are a work of art, the built quality is awesome. The temps are great and the visible vapor production starts at 4-5 maybe. The auto mode should be somewhere there also. It is nice for discrete and light medication but if you want the full taste and fast effect you need to bump it to 6-7. Great temp range IMO. Direct hitting with the Solo's GonG stem as a mouthpiece is a joy! Stick it into a bong and it whitewalls it easily but with a vapor lung the little heater gives up. Too big a hit for the ribbon heating elements to compensate... Few will find it annoying.

In conclusion, despite the long waiting times for replacement the XP is finally great again IMO and when the new bodies are ready with the newly positioned USB port it will be close to perfection.

I honestly believe that Pharmacor have the Holy Grail of portable electronic vaporizing in their hands for the moment and I don't see any direct competition in the near future. There is just no competition with that many features and pros. If English was my mother language, I could express myself much better and give this vape and the people behind it the praise they deserve! Great work guys. Sorry for the rant in the past. The progress is great!

no never seen that. I agree sounds like the herb might be too fine a grind.

again for those looking for clouds let it warm up another 30 seconds - 1 minute after the light goes off before pulling on it.

Call Inhalater directly.

Its great to hear people getting their replacements....

So what GoNG would I have to buy from PV to hook it up to a water bong?
http://www.planetvape.ca/pvhegong-high-efficiency-gong.html

i use an oring around the tip of the capsule. the orings simply provides a seal as long as you hold it there. i dont mind holding it in place for each hit. my XP produces clouds quick so filling a tube is no problem at all.

if you want a gong on there so that its hands free then the solo gong stems make good candidates, but can add extra length to it. you could also use a rubber stopper the same size of the gong joint... with a hole in it of course. and just slip that onto the capsule tip. hell you could probably find a 14mm male gong joint by itself and use some tubing inside it to couple it to the capsule tip. or better yet... maybe Pharmacor would be interested in making gong capsules. you know a capsule with a plastic gong joint on it similar to the pinnacle gong thing. just thinking out lout at this point.

hey guys

briefly on my experience

my second replacement unit also malfunctioned.

Both units were unable to provide clouds at any temp before 8. However, the substrate was always 'cooked' as it should be. It did medicate but it wasn't as satisfying.

Greg was really good about replacing the first unit. Sometimes communication is a bit slow but the first shipping was quick. I attribute it entirely to them just being really overwhelmed.

My 2 cents:

- customer service has been fantastic all things considered
- I completely understand people that are frustrated or fed up. I think it is legitimate.
- while I am disappointed and miss my XP and am tired of paying shipping back to PQ and grow tired of not having it and feel annoyed that I had to buy a temporary 'cheaper' replacement vape and get a bit worried when I never hear back.... I have to say that I can sympathize with the company and that I do get the sense that a) they're cray busy and b) they are making good faith efforts to get their product out and to satisfy their customers and protect their reputation.

- for some reason I am more willing to be patient. Part of it is their attitude but a bit part of it is that I do believe that XP has crazy potential to be 'the' unit for me (if it works!).

Please don't read this as a criticism of people who are justifiably frustrated or fed up. I am as well but so far I am willing to give the company the chance to make it right.

PS: the problems were for XP 1) stopped charging and for XP 2) wouldn't go past 2-3 temp without shutting off.

PS2: good luck inhalater folk!
