Arizer Solo

Is there anyone making designer or novelty glass stems for the Solo? I've heard of Ed's wood stems. They look nice. I've got ideas for twisted glass stems and such and was wondering if anyone is doing something like that for the Solo?

It's good to be wary of information on the internet, even well intended information. Thinking twice is a smart move.

But that being said, OF is as primary a source of information on this topic as your going to get over here. He's mapped the voltage gradient of the solo, designed a standalone PSU for it and has seen most of the problems people have encountered.

As well, the Arizer Solo is not a forward facing device, with many misleading rating labels, reversed polarity wiring and other quirks. It might seem like he's trying to give you messed up information, but we've been screwing around with these for a while and some soldiers have been lost. He's just trying to make sure your solo doesn't join them.

I'm really stoked about the much discussed and Highly anticipated PA/Charger that
Tim is working on . I'm pretty sure he mentioned it will do both .
Use and charge at the same time .
No more down time even when used as a portable .:rockon:

Not the same Solo for sure. How? you can only plug one cable into it at a time. Charge (over 10 Volts) or PA (7 to 9). Halfway (say 9.5) is useless as a few folks with defective chargers have found.

why thank you guys so i have 2 questions

does anyone know any reasons why those ps2 chargers didnt work for some people but work for others did they get the polarity wrong or something?

and random but should already vaped cannabis still have trichomes on them?

Not all of them for sure. I recall at least two guys saying they died in service, one catastrophically, meaning to me at one point they had it wired right and working. What did the two guys you found reporting failure say?

Normally when fully vaped they should not, although sometimes the 'stocks' hang in there with noting in them.

they just claimed it killed their units (which sounded like they messed up polarity to me)

that explains why they're shortened after vaping

and no hard feelings about anything i have said

Normally you'd expect the supply to be unaffected by reverse connections, the load (Solo) might not take it too well, but the supply itself shouldn't really care. The Solo has no power source to back feed the supply with and should as worst case show a short circuit which the supply should tolerate since kids are sure to do at least that to it. I've got a few ideas what might be going on, but that doesn't change the point that users have reported problems and advised caution. I'm passing that concern along for your consideration. You made a strong point of not wanting to waste money. This could be one way to do that?

Another stout volunteer has broken the code! Well done. Not for the weak, is it?

Having 'tried it all', all I can say is 'you ain't seen nothin' yet'. Wait until Pipes and Tim (hopefully) get their systems to market (this month I bet, and I'm giving odds.....). This will give you PA mode on the road as well. And switching between charging and PA (at home or away) at the switch of a cable or two. There's a couple of other 'tire kickers'' talking to me about making their versions for your consideration, I hope that develops too.

The customer is about to get many new options to consider here.....a very good thing IMO. Good times and tall cotton, my friends.

Soon, Grasshopper, soon. I'm confident at least on of the players here will be 'on the air' this month. IMO both Tim and Pipes have it down to the details right now, Pipes is Beta Testing and I think Tim is not far behind. Both are stocking parts and should be ready for reasonable production as soon as the Beta Tester votes are in and tallied?

You are correct, i have about 5 boxes full of parts and my Beta units should be shipping out early next week (if all goes to plan). Just about done filing all my legal paperwork for the LLC and I'll have the website up and running soon, probably wait till i start getting feedback from the Beta Testers before the website is launched though.

I'm interested to see how everyone likes the way i packaged mine up, could be the "Go-To" kit for the outdoorsy types. ;)

Me too. And I've peeked......

I expect to at least some guys to really decide it 'fits their pistol just fine'. Henry Kaiser ("Find a need, and fill it") would be proud I think.

Oh how I wish I could smoke again. Since the incident I have been thinking about those butane pipes again like the vg coil and whatnot but my guess is they would frustrate me big time. Give you me your answer anyhow OF lol cause now I am curious unless it is just...grosssssssssss. It certainly has been on my mind to take a hit off an old pipe to see if I can do it but I haven't.
My plan for the moment is PN, and either INH or solo with my brand new gong stem. The solo is charged to 6 I think as it was just charged a day ago. It may even still be on seven but by the time I am done using it before I leave it will be on 6. I have been unplugging it when I remember if I am not doing back to back to back to back to back...you tired yet:lol:.

I so wish I could get someone to figure out what was in the mj pills I was taking. I know most of the formula but can't repeat it and wish I knew someone that could. If anyhow knows a lot about capsules and wants to discuss it PM me. They were great, color coded, strain specific, made only with trim, reliable to the effects down to how long it takes to kick in and how long it will last. The most perfect meds I have ever had. Believe it or not they did nothing at first but after my body got used to them wow and wow.
