AVB could fall in the holes..... I would often see AVB on the top of my cloud+ when it was working. Granted I have no idea how it gets there.

In all the pics I haven't been able to detect a seam. In that earlier video SM posted of a prototype being made, IIRC half the shell was being machined, meaning that there would be a seam like the Cloud has. Anyone know for sure whether the EVO shell is a single piece (which suggests injection molding or similar)? That would be cleaner.

I'm just curious.

I'm sorry...not trying to break rules or be an ass. My cloud preforms just fine...I just think is overpriced, overhyped, and not efficient. On a side not, gf loves it

I appreciate the help but the issue isn't between the actual glass bushing at all, it's the internal diameter of the tube that bushing is connected to that affects it's compatibility.

Because the second cap pokes up about half a centimeter, it can get stuck or jammed as it goes past the ground glass connection and into the actual downstem area. I have a bong by LUX that I simply cannot do the double cap trick with since it can't make a proper seal with half a centimeters worth of gap, and if I push it to far it will get stuck. Some of my adapters also do not fit, nor does my mouthpiece.

I see what you are saying. I've only four bubs, one by mobius, and no problems.

AVB is like termites. It can get anywhere. I have AVB on my Da Vinci that is in-between the LCD display and the LCD display cover... I have my suspicions on how it got there, but I have on way of getting it out.

A seamless piece like that could also be MFG with 3D printing, although I doubt that is happening (too expensive) in another 10 years it could be the norm. Assuming any of us are around in 10 years.

I didn't ask because of loose ABV, although that is an excellent question.

My reason is - wait for it now - there is yet another complaint that I forgot to mention before, oops. That complaint was that the shell halves sometimes did not line up precisely, so that the seam was a tiny bit off. It appeared to me to be due to screw hole or screw placement, and actually some corrected it by just loosening/re-tightening the screws. I'm a fan of injection molding, which avoids this possibility altogether.

Exactly, I have no idea how AVB gets into these places, but it does, those vents at the top are just asking for it when compared to my cloud+ which definitely accumulates sprinkles of AVB on the top somehow.

The seem is another concern of mine as well to get AVB trapped, so far I think we've just seen renderings and no final shots of it.

Pretty certain it's injection molded.

Do you by chance stir with the ELB in the Cloud? That'll do it for sure.

Anyway, I'm not particularly concerned about the vents. There are not-difficult ways to mitigate any ABV from reaching the unit's internals and making it easy to keep clear of debris.

No, I would remove the bowl but I didnt stir often anyways.
I also noticed AVB dots in the bamboo GonG that could not be avoided, due to the negative pressure of the Hydratube being placed onto the GonG connection. I found the best thing I could do was inhale while placing the hyrdatube onto the cloud. But still AVB dots would appear.

My cloud+ only worked for about a month, a couple times while using the glass mouthpiece the cap came flying off the ELB and sprayed AVB in the mouthpiece.

I assume this is how most of the top AVB accumulated as I had to remove the mouthpiece to clean up.
Since then I bent the caps slightly so that did not happen.
I also think just simply removing the spent ELB scrapes a tiny bit of AVB that escaped out the sides of the tiny holes when it reaches the top of the GonG connection its gets scraped/sprayed (down into the GonG and out onto the top).

Thanks, Shrike! You raised the campaign total to: $101,861!

So glad I was able to contribute something! Not any where near as much as I wanted to. But, money is tight right now and I tried everything I could think of to raise some extra cash, but alas, to no avail.

Good news is...I get a brand new Cloud EVO when they come out! Guess I'll just have to slum along using my Evolver HydroCirc & my Mobius Ion Matrix with the EVO...:)

My "ticker" is still running perfect since last July and it's going to be weird to eventually call it my "Back-up' vape.

EDIT::Right behind you Joe...!

Might that have been resin? There has been a lot of discussion about cleaning the resin ring that builds up inside the lip at the bottom of the joint, I've seen little resin ticks along that lip, too.

Aw, you poor thing. If you haven't yet, try that Ion with a CloudBuddy - it rocks!

I used to get that all the time, I used a skilletool with the pointy head and it scrapes right off. I remember getting so frustrated cause it was like bothering me to look at it. No worries though buddy, it comes off.

I am definitely smiling right now. Thank you EVERYONE for the team effort put into this. We have been one of Indiegogo's most successful niche product campaigns with one of the highest average contributions in their short history. We are super proud, as should everyone else on this forum who contributed in every single way whether monetary, spiritually, or from a outreach perspective.

On a side note, just some updates on the enclosure. This new enclosure will not have any issues with the seams not lining up and will have a much more polished finish. The air vents will have a fine mesh material covering it so you shouldn't worry about any material falling through the vents

Hey all,

I was the runner-up in the ad contest and I created the images for the "Stretch Goals" on the IGG campaign. Seibo was kind enough to send me a special hydratube for my design/graphics work and I wanted to share it with you guys and show it off a bit, of course

It's like the baby brother of the Vertigo Tall Boy, which I prefer since having something that long and heavy on top of the Cloud seems like it would be more prone to a mishap. The ice notches are really a must for me, otherwise I can never seem to "catch the cough" (Katt Williams reference)

I think my Evolver HT is gonna be taking a permanent vacation to the display case ...

no. they were dots, i would notice resin build up if i used any concentrate in with the flower, so id use a cotton swab to remove it from the sides of the GonG.
The AVB dots would cook on the bottom, making a combustion like smell, so i would try to clear them up into the hydratube after a session which would instantly remove the smell.

Awesome!!

Glad to see the campaign hit 100k! I'll be dropping another $500 tomorrow to bump myself to the fanatic level. I was thinking we could maybe design some kind of badges to stick in our signatures for the different levels? Idk maybe it's a lame idea haha

Will the limited edition hydratube at the $500 perk have ice pinches? I could not get a confirmation of that and I am at the 250 level now.

Yes, please hook us up with a bit more details about the perk levels. Ice punch would pwn it!

I also love ice, and we are getting a new fridge soon so it will be margarita and vape-town soon.
