Hey all. Had my da Buddha a few month now and I absolutely love it especially the big hits.
I have posted in the glass section re bubblers and am thinking of getting this http://www.grasscity.com/uk_en/weed...-shower-head-perc-diffusers.html#.Ufjudllwb6Q (I am I'm England so a lot of the USA bubblers unavailable.)
What will I need for this to work with da Buddha? Also buying a vapour genie coil will I need anything to use this with the bubbler?

You will need to get a GonG attachment or you could just get a 18-14mm reducer and then yer that would be sweet to use with the the da buddha

"Pudster, post: 431518, member: 14987"]I just got the DBV, just a few questions,
how sensitive is the ceramic element? Can it be wriggled a little bit (gently) safely?
I ask because when i first opened it, and took off the cover (i dont know why i did...), i wriggled it slighty, and noticed it can move up and down a tiny tiny bit. I wasn't rough, and after I did it, i did the burn in thing and it seemed to work fine.
Just wanna make sure that small amount of wriggling didn't damage it.

Thanks gals and guys!
When I first got my Da Buddha the heating element had fallen down into the electronics housing and I had to pull it back up out of there... you're fine

Whats up people. I have a question in regards to some electrical/technical stuff.

Had the Buddha for almost 3 years now, almost no complaints. However, I am having one problem now. The three pronged power plug; the third (bottom) metal prong fell off. It disconnected.

I put it back in place, and plugged it in.. luckily it still works! Couple weeks later, the metal prong dislocated and fell off again and I thought... what the hell, lets see what happens if you plug it in withOUT the bottom round prong.. and it still works. Pretty cool.

Now my question is.. is this some kind of fire hazard? It also opens up a broader topic.. is the third prong really necessary? Appreciate any insight.
The third prong is not necessary for use but is there for safety and is used on objects with a metal casing that plug into the wall. If high voltage somehow comes in contact with the casing of your da buddha (like a worn out wire inside your vape touching the casing) and you were to touch it the ground wire is what trips the breaker so without it you'd just fry.

aha thanks. do you think it still works for grounding if I just place it back in? The third prong is still broken off, but it slides back in. I'm going to get in fixed eventually, but in the mean time would you say it's better to keep the third prong as attached as possible?

Yeah as long as there is a metal on metal connection between the prong, wire and outlet it will work. You could just cut the plug (with a foot of cable) off something 3 pronged that's broken or that you'll never use again or even the end of an extension cord and cut your Da Buddha cable, strip the 3 wires from each your Da Buddha and your new 3 prong plug cables, solder or crimp the 3 appropriate wires together then heat shrink the 3 together for an almost oe look. You could even make your cable extra long if you wanted to ... I don't know why you would need to with these awesome 8 foot power cords but you could.

Hi all! I am a newbie to this forum but no newbie to MMJ. I've been smoking since I was 13, I'm now 28. After all these years of smoking my lungs and throat are pleading with me for a different alternative lol I found a brand new DBV from another MMJ user and grabbed it for $80!!! What a deal! So I've had this beast for a week now and Have not been able to figure it out, I've read many different posts, reviews, and videos but I don't know if I'm doing it right. I'm used to that big smoke cloud filling up my lungs but I know with Vape it's not supposed to be like that. I guess I've been so used to big thick hits and I'm disappointed in what I'm getting from my DBV. Also the girl I bought it from changed out the knob so it's a lil hard to set right now without knowing where the knob is setting. Any advice would be appreciated!

remove the knob.
turn unit off.
replace knob so line is at "7:30" on the dial.
when at full the knob should sit at "4:30" on the dial
If this is a bit off... do it until the top heat and bottom heat without clicking unit off...
are at exact opposite spots on the dial.
That will leave mid power at noon on the dial, and you will be set as factory sets them.

Ok so it was difficult trying to set it at 7:30 per say so I set it at 7pm. I'm going to try to attach a picture.

After playing with it for the past hour I've given up lol maybe there's something wrong with my unit. I tried setting it at a low temp and raising it a little every so often, I'm getting something but nothing consistent or what I would consider a drag. I've seen some videos that there is a thick smoke like caper that. Fills up the glass tube however I can't seem to figure out how to get mine to do that. This is not rocket science I know lol but it's torture for me not being able to get it right.

Vaper not caper.... Stupid auto correct

Try turning it up a lot higher to see if the element is getting red hot. If it is, your unit is working! Try a smaller bowl size, lightly packed. I used to run mine at about "noon" on the dial and that was more than enough.

LOL thanks guys! Yes code blue! I haven't given up, I'm dedicated so excuse my rants. Ok so I should turn off my DBV, figure out where start and end click, when in off setting the red knob pictured in my last posts should be at a 7pm angle? I'm totally a visual learner lol

Oh and I have packed it half of half on the stem and also tried a half bowl in it as well.

I can see your problem from your picture!!! Same one I had when I first bought my Da Buddha. The heating elements on these are not set in place they sort of float around. When I first bought my Da Buddha the heating element had fallen down into the electronics department of the vaporizer. All you need to do is pull the heating element cover off of the unit when it is cool and reach down and pull the element up as far as you can get it to come out of the base of the unit without forcing it then replace the cover, heat your unit up and you are good to go.

Hope this helped ... you're about to get big ass hits now.

Edit:
This picture shows where the heating element should sit inside of the heating element cover

Thanks!! Def going to try and let you know how it goes! Being a vapor newbie is super tricky and it is one hell of a learning curve lol

I feel you. Took me about a week to figure out what was wrong with my Da Buddha when I got it. I was about to throw the thing out the window.
