I am a bit concerned about my nanos tracking.
It was shipped on the 25th to the UK, and I had several tracking updates, however the last one I have is for 23:35, on July 26th it departed a USPS sort facility in Los Angeles, and since then no updates at all, it hasn't even arrived at another sort facility or anywhere else.
Should I be worried at this point?

Not at all. From my experience I would say it may turn up at your door without any further updates.

I am an european customer and I get the same sometimes.

Another tip is to not use this "stamps" link that Andys notification supplies, but instead copy the tracking number directly into the official usps.com site. Sometimes it gives more detailed infos.

This was true for me. The stamps site didn't have an estimated delivery date or anything but pasting the number into usps.com gave me more info and an estimated delivery which turned out to be true.

Hi all,
my nano arrived today, I can't use it yet because my converter hasn't arrived from China yet.
All the package contents does seem to be in order, but I do have a question regarding stem cleaning.
Does Andy normally provide a dedicated bottle for stem cleaning? as there doesn't seem to be anything like that.
Though the glass stems did come inside some nice protective cases, so do people put alcohol into them to clean the stems?

Nothing is provided to clean the stem, that is left up to you!
What i do is fill a Mason jar with ISO and swirl it around a bit.
After a few months the ISO turns a nice golden colour.
Pour that into a glass dish and evaporate the ISO.
You are left with some delicious golden goo that smokes like a champ!!!

I clean right in the provided case. Just add some ISO (salt Optional) shake and soak for 20minutes or so. then dry.

Damn you, e-nano, for making it s-o-o-o easy to stay altered.
Yea no kidding. I have it sitting on my desk and now I don't even grind the herbs before putting it in. I would have never thought of just using ungrounded material with my previous vapes but the E-Nano definitely gets it browned evenly inside and out all around.

As far as the USPS tracking, I've dealt with the USPS a lot and indeed the tracking numbers aren't always as current as they could be. More often than not, tracking gets on course either the day before the package arrives or after it arrives (letting me know it was delivered).

Now I'm just waiting on the silicone, curious to try it out after hearing some members here saying it creates even more of a enclosure for the vapor for potentially stronger hits.

Do you have a glass screen on top of your herb, Ataxian?
Yes I have little glass screens I use.
I have different sizes I use with all my vaporizers.

The SS screens work well however I find if I put the glass screen before the herb it makes a separation so there is no direct contact with the heating chamber.

It is more of a indirect heat so level 8 becomes my new setting.

My level is 6 - 6.5 when I'm direct (Still works well).

Before the mouth piece I just use the SS screen to keep from sucking flower in to my mouth.

I will buy more screens (glass) to play around with.

I'm a FLAVOR chaser and the Vapor is very nice from the NANO.

With the glass for me it's even more sensational!

I can't wait till I can use my nano, got at least a week til my converter arrives.
I like its size and how small it is, one thing I do feel is a slightly bad design choice is having the cable built into the unit.
Although I am sure there are sound design reasons for this I do think having the cable attached makes the nano less easy to stash as you can't exactly coil it round the vapes body.
Just thinking outloud hear, but perhaps two versions could be offered, one with a built in cable and one that was removable.
I am worried about bending the connection when I stash it away

If it was cordless and battery operated it would be heavier.
I have SOLO's for cord free operation.

The NANO plug in with the water pipe adapter is a absolute class act.
Light, Sweet Flavor and Quick warm up.

I love this thing!

You don't have to spend $500 for this kind of NIRVANA!

Alexwallis:

I agree with you a portable version maintaining the small foot print would fill a large need/want!

I definitely wish the cord was detachable too.

Not for using cord free, but a detachable cord... like a wall wart plug in, such as PCs have.

However, since it is 110V, that may not be an easy option. Direct wired is probably more reliable and safe. Maybe in the future a more flexible, soft cord will be included.

I am not after a portable version of the nano, the life style I lead means I am fine with a plug in model.
I would simply have preferred it if the cord was detachable, I would be interested in knowing the design reasons for having a built in cord.
At the moment I have the nano in a draw with the cord just piled around it, its far from neat, plus I have to make sure the connection is facing up right. Also I think the nano with built in cord takes up more space than if the cord was totally removable, as because its built in your very restricted what you can do with it.
I don't imagine the temperature control was the reason for building in the cord.
Plus of course building in the plug means international customers have to go searching for converters, surely it would make sense to offer a removable cord to international buyers.

Ok Sorry alexwallis!

I did misunderstand.

That is a great ideal actually.
Maybe ANDY has some comments about this.
If it was say a $12.00 upgrade to have a removable cord I would buy a second NANO for that feature. The more I think about it I will just DIY this thing!

Kind regards,

So I've been very happy with my E-Nano but I noticed that my stem tends to roll when I set it down on flat surfaces. I first realized that this could be a real problem when it dropped off my desk and cracked a bit (fortunately it's still usable).

As a temporary measure I've been using my tweezers to hold it, but this looks and feels a bit awkward.

For a more permanent solution a friend and I decided to carve up a little holding block out of oak.

This looks much nicer.

I'm thinking about how best to finish the wood now. I'm considering the beeswax varnish that came with my old Purple Days units since they're the only nontoxic option I have on hand. I would use whatever the E-Nano itself uses, but I don't know what that is. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great.

Final picture.

I haven't been able to source a detachable 110v cord and receptacle in a small size and quantity. Any links?

Loving my Nano, but quick question: Is it typical for the Nano to have a bit of a jingle when you shake it? It sounds like the light mechanism shimmies a bit, but I can't pinpoint it for certain. It doesn't seem to effect the operation at all, works beautifully, just jingles a bit when I pick it up or move it in any way. Should I be worried something is amiss in there?

As for the cord, I love variable temp dial, but its design (placement really) is the one flaw in this vape, imo, although I don't know if a better option exists. The only complaint I have had is that the weight of the dial wants to pull the vape off the table sometimes, and it's awkward to try to wrap the cord in such a way that it doesn't hang free. And then sometimes the bulk of the dial hangs up on other stuff and knocks my Nano over and a few times has tumbled. I am afraid that could explain the jingle.

Thoughts?

Edit: Typing this out made me think about using a little velcro or something to attach the dial to a flat surface. Hmmm....

I totally agree, the main reason for me getting the nano is because as far as I know its the only log vape that offers temperature control.
I can't wait to see how it compares to my pd I am hoping it will be much better.
Another thing about the cord, I think the temp dial is quite far down the cable, I would have liked it positioned much closer to the unit, because of the way my desk works the dial will always be hanging off the desk.
I am going to have to pull the dial up any time I want to adjust the temperature, or duck under the desk.
Perhaps the temperature is the main reason the cable has to be supplied with the nano, as I guess you couldn't go down to the local store and by a cable like the one attached to the nano..
Even so I don't get why the same cable that comes built into the nano couldn't simply be supplied with a jack on the end.

That's it time to rebuilt even if my NANO is brand new.

To do the cord modification will be super easy.

OK you bring out the DIY!

Absolute truth.

I've started just using the stem. The water path is great but the flavor is just incredible with direct.
Not grinding.
I forced myself to use just the stem for a couple of days and perfected my drawing technique.
Did I mention the flavor.

I'm just leaving it on 7 or a bit under from my first session to the time I go to bed.
All I have to do is mate the stem and take a hit or two.
... yeah, that's pretty damn easy.

I think the cord mod would be a piece of cake.
