Hello FC. Pround DBV user here.

I broke my vapor tamer hose adapter and I'm looking for a replacement.
The X-Tips made by Vapir are available at a fair price, will they fit in my hose?

No... that will not fit.
Order the adapter from 7th floor LLC
The piece is not uncommon and can be found very inexpensively at local Head Shops
(GonG to Whip adapters, H2O Adapters,)

Long time lurker, finally registered and wanted to say thanks to all who've contributed to this thread. I'm a former owner of the SSV and DBV but have given the SSV away. Yes I prefer the DBV but I use a standard short ssv hc. Reasons why I chose to give my ssv away and hold onto the DBV:
- I know is strange but I prefer the straight up position of the DBV
- when bonging I prefer the upright position of the DBV and switch out to the stock GG hc
- I'm a minimalist and like the simplicity of DBV
- prefer the standard hc of the ssv, I find the hands free a little cumbersome and found when my meds spilled into the hc it was mostly due to the jerk caused when twisting the GG on/off
- I also find blow back happens rarely because of the smaller hc opening
- love having the heating dial on the same side as the hc
- always struggled with the angle of the ssv. I know I'm weird
- love love love the ssv hc and now I'm able to have it on the DB

the way I explain my DBV to my friends is: here's the whip, this is your pipe with a hose attached. Heres the buddha, this is your lighter. Now use your pipe and light your bowl like you normally would. This never fails and have never had any issues with rookies. Just wanted to share why I love the buddha. Hope this helps anyone who is on the fence

I've had my da Buddha for a few years now he's a real trooper. I finally got a ground glass connection for him and the vapor is so smooth out of the bong.

Anyone using that new ti nail setup 7th floor just put out? Looks like you could dab while you're vaping herb if the temps dialed in right.

Man, I wish I had friends like you that would gift me a desktop vape!! I've got my eye on a DB for a home unit, as well as the EQ, but I feel like I won't use bags and I won't get the most out of the material. Plus I'm a bit of a minimalist so the less stuff I have to move around, the better.

+1 on Da Buddha over the EQ
They're different beasts, but the DBV gave me the bigger hits I wanted. EQ never did get much love, and none since the big Buddha moved in! :brow:

When looking at the eq it bugged me that the temp was not taken from the bowl

You could do both at the same time...i created the oil rig setup for the DBV, and I never even thought of this, but I'm just a wax head. The hole for the dab is a bit big...the dish will be hot but you may not get the air hot enough to do both. I will try it and see.

Well it was gifted to my brother so I could switch it up anytime. Both are excellent vaped and I would choose either over the eq all day. I'm a minimalist st heart which is why I went with the buddha over ssv. I'm a real technology guy too which attracted me to the eq but the simplistic design of the 7th floor products are unbeatable. Ill try and get a pic of my setup soon, super simple and works like a dream.
I must admit the game changer for me and vaping in general was adding a very specific light to my buddha. It really changed everything as I'm a pretty visual guy and could never ever see the vapor develop in my wands. I tried numerous led lights, flashlights and book lights but nothing worked until I got the buddha and my light. Something about how the angle of light hits the wand that allows you to see major vapor that I never could. Made me feel like I was busting again. Really changed everything. Really didn't work with the ssv which is another reason I let it go. Whatever the case give the buddha a shot you will be pleased. I've never tried the eq so I can't compare but I've tried a volcano and truly believe the buddha is superior for myself. Good luck!

1 month's worth of wand hash from my Da Buddha :)
I'll post a video later of me having a nice big hit of this

What's your method for making that? I've had my DBV for about 3 months now and my wand is caked because I haven't cleaned it yet. Whenever I used to clean glass I would just use iso and epsom salt. I've never made any sort of hash before. It would probably be decent hash because I vaped all my kief through there and I'm sure quite a bit of it made it through the screens. Will somebody please school me on this? I already have a bunch of 91% iso and would like to do it tonight. Thanks.

I just used the pick that came with my da buddha to scrape it right out of the wand. :)

 Well that's easy! I thought it was more complicated than that. Thanks.
Or you can just clean it with iso alcohol and leave the alcohol out in a dish over a low heat source to evaporate.

I've never tried if but I bet if your pour the iso/hash through a coffee filter a few times you'd end up with some decent oil.

Interesting.. Would you elaborate a bit for me?

I only have 91%. Would that work?
Do I let the wand soak in the iso for awhile?
Would putting the dish over a heating vent work?
Would the oil end up being more potent than if I were to just scrape the wand?

Hoof Hearted,
Yea 91% will work. Yes let the wand soak or just shake it till you think its clean enough. Or soak it overnight and make sure to shake all the alcohol off and into the disc in the morning, then start your heat fan. I always clean all my pieces this way, but I usually just leave the pyrex dish by a window and slowly let it evap. But I don't think it will be any better or worse, I just think that you will be a cleaner oil if you clean it that way versus a hashy type oil.

Yeah 91 is fine.
Yeah soak it as long as you need to to free up all the wand hash.
Any heat source will speed the process but you can just leave it out at room temp for a few days.
Yes oil is more potent because there is no plant material mixed in with the resin but if you don't dab it might not be worth it to do the extra work.

I just got the DBV, just a few questions,
how sensitive is the ceramic element? Can it be wriggled a little bit (gently) safely?
I ask because when i first opened it, and took off the cover (i dont know why i did...), i wriggled it slighty, and noticed it can move up and down a tiny tiny bit. I wasn't rough, and after I did it, i did the burn in thing and it seemed to work fine.
Just wanna make sure that small amount of wriggling didn't damage it.

Thanks gals and guys!

Whats up people. I have a question in regards to some electrical/technical stuff.

Had the Buddha for almost 3 years now, almost no complaints. However, I am having one problem now. The three pronged power plug; the third (bottom) metal prong fell off. It disconnected.

I put it back in place, and plugged it in.. luckily it still works! Couple weeks later, the metal prong dislocated and fell off again and I thought... what the hell, lets see what happens if you plug it in withOUT the bottom round prong.. and it still works. Pretty cool.

Now my question is.. is this some kind of fire hazard? It also opens up a broader topic.. is the third prong really necessary? Appreciate any insight.
