You raised the campaign total to: $94,024!

This ^

I've been doing a great amount of research in the past 2 months on the highest quality vaporizers around. I'm frequently finding myself being led back to this forum and product. This will be my first vaporizer and once it's in my hands, kiss combustion goodbye!

Being a fitness fanatic, I love to treat my body (and mind) with the best possible. I consider this campaign to be a great investment and I'm happy to be apart of it.

No more convincing needed, I hope it reaches 100k.

Welcome, Ice! Good move settling on this vape.

As a fellow fitness fanatic, I can say moving to vapor will be right up your alley. And when you have time, check out the "Athlete Vaporists?" thread in the "Vaporization Discussion" sub forum.

Cheers!

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right
GOOD NEWS UPDATE:

So because of changing situations I had some questiions of VXL. Hoped to get it cleared up before the campaign was over.

So I contacted them just as I was getting ready for bed at around 11PDT. Within minutes Phil had responded to answer my questions. It would have been 2am EDT for him.

I wondered what he was doing up so late and he told me that they were busting their humps from 9am to 4am every day to make the release timetable.

It just doesn’t get any better than that does it folks?

I have been thanking everyone on the forums and interwebs for their help and contributions and I really have to give our East coast team a lot of credit for working around the clock and making sure that we execute on everything we need to do in order to make our next launch a success. In startups, too often, the founder gets waaaaay too much credit. In our company, the same is true. We would have tossed in the white flag several times if it weren't for Troi and VaporRing holding down the fort and being the glue to keep this company together. Public kudos to both of these guys that have waaaay too much on their plate but they never complain and keep trucking along!

Onto other news! ELBs are officially back! Feel free to order as many as you like.

Lastly, got some big news that we'll disclose a little bit later tonight ;)

I want in, but the gap between the $250/500/1k is tough to nav. I would have to go with the hydra tube for sure, but for 1k... it's a bit of a leap.

Can someone summarize for me what the deal was with the Cloud, those had issues? Company rebooted as indiegogo fundraiser? I'm late to the party

So I was just musing . . .

About the time the Cloud was released, out of curiosity I compared the number of views on that thread with other popular threads. While there were ~600K views on the Cloud thread, that was still well under the Myrtlezap let alone the Extreme which, counting both Extreme threads, with its ~1.1M views just recently passed the previous all-time champ, Purple-Days.

That was then. This is now. This thread now has ~910K views, which combined with the first thread, makes for 1.5M views. As in one-plus-a-half fucking million.

I don't want to rain on any other vape's parade, but I gotta say that those numbers says one helluva lot about a guy we call SM55, his crew, and their vapes.

And it's only gonna get better.
Is this the place to be for vapes, or what?

It really is and I'm glad to be apart of it. The product and service SM55 and the whole VXL team have provided speaks for itself. The cloud is truly a groundbreaking product and I can't wait for the release of the eagle. I know its going to be just as amazing as the cloud and better and in so many ways.

I've been paying my dues since day one, waiting two years to receive this revolutionary product, which has delivered and exceeded all my expectations. It has been worth every penny so far and its hard for me to envision not having a cloud at this point. I feel I was just some barbarian rubbing sticks together before this came along. Much thanks to SM55 and the whole VXL team for making it possible.

I will be making my Early Bird contribution VERY shorty....

I'll take a stab at it fwiw . . . if I'm off anywhere, I'm sure I'll be corrected.

So the Cloud was released to predominately positive reviews, but there were some complaints. Some were annoyed by its ticking sound, the shell was definitely too hot , occasionally the heater died, and the heater calibration varied considerably between units. There was a long delay for our international friends, and I'm sure other concerns I don't recall offhand.

Enter the Cloud Plus with improved heater, reduced shell heat, new firmware, and an extended warranty. With this change VXL also changed contract manufacturers. Before long it was clear there were problems with some of the Plus units just failing outright. It turned out that the manufacturer was cutting corners and apparently doing much worse; VXL can't share details because there is pending litigation.

This was of course a major setback for VXL, not only loss of manufacturing plus litigation costs, but also a substantial loss of inventory. SM and crew decided to reboot the company, bringing manufacturing in-house and redesigning the Cloud. The indiegogo campaign is to help bootstrap that effort (along with SM taking out a mortgage, discussions with investors, etc.) The target release of the new Nimbus/Eagle is October, with general distribution to follow along with a couple other vape models in the works.

Does that answer your question?

Indeed, thanks!
I did some catch up reading on my own as well. I think the confusing part was that this thread is about the "Cloud" which was previously released, but not in stock etc...

I work in an industry that also deals with contract MFG... and yeah, it varies wildly. So I can relate to their issues with the contractor, especially if they were not abiding by the legal contract and doing shady corner/cost/cutting.

Anyhoot, hope this works out, I'm in for the 5hundy

It really was. I love my LSV, but I've never tried a Cloud, I see 3 Days Left, I don't know how much more it will cost upon release, and I'm just like DO IT!!

Time will tell, but I'm sure I'll be happy with my decision.

Haha. I'm thinking of selling my LSV for this but I don't know if I can do it..

Thanks OBG! And with that said, comes the big announcement. We know how thrilled everyone was with our last name change and through further discussions with our attorney, we're going to take the Cloud name BACK! The ecig guys muddied our name but we were first to market and we feel strongly that we will win our case against them infringing on our trademark.

With that said, the vaporizer formerly known as the Nimbus and/or Eagle is now.....

The VapeXhale Cloud EVO (Extreme Vapor Output) - while the wings may have been clipped, this vaporizer is sure to make you fly higher!

We're here to fuck shit up.
I won't. I'll sell my Volcano before my LSV. I can't imagine toting the EVO around with me on road trips and vacations. I believe that's where the LSV will come into play.

Oh Yeah!

With the initial conversation focusing on the "EVO", I missed the obvious of pairing it with the "Cloud". Probably SM had "Cloud EVO" in mind all along and I was just the slow boy in class. Anyway, IMHO this is great because it's now like a branding franchise, all building upward on the Cloud base. Well done!

EDIT: t-dub, we all didn't do so bad first time out of the gate, huh?
