Thanks, I did mean WaW. Never played Wow, or anything similar. But i do remember kids failing out of school in the dorms back in 2002 when they would crack it to Everquest. Wasn't there a few deaths cause over these games? Like don't you dare touch my Level 18 Elf now that I have the Sword of Kings.... I'll kill you for that.

There have been MMORPG related deaths in the past, yes. One particularly sad incident was when the mother of a 3-year old forgot that she had left her daughter in the car. She was inside playing EverQuest for over two hours before she "realized" she forgot about her kid, but it was too late.

A guy named Shawn Woolley killed himself back in 2001 while playing EQ. His mother found him at his desk with a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head, and EQ running on his computer on Thanksgiving day. He was 21 years old.

There was a report of a man who killed his son for disturbing him during a "raid" while playing EQ, but I'm not sure how valid that story is.

A 28-year old man in South Korea died in an Internet Cafe after playing for 50+ hours of StarCraft.

In June of 2005 a Chinese gamer was sentenced to life in prison after stabbing a fellow gamer to death. Apparently the victim had borrowed a sword, and then sold it.

Crazy stuff, huh? I mean, doesn't that right there put the number of Video Game related deaths above the number of Marijuana related deaths? And those incidents listed above are just the ones I remember. I'm sure there are a lot more.

I saw a news article (obviously everything read in press should be taken with a pinch of salt) about a couple from Europe got a big compensation payout and spent thousands of pounds upgrading everything to play WOW. They quit their jobs and just stayed inside playing wow 24/7.

However unfortunately they had 2 young children, the cats were found to be looking after them. The whole home was covered in shit.

Any one play battlefield games???????

Bad company 2 multiplayer demo will be coming out soon for XBL

I've been playing BF BC2 beta on ps3 at my brothers place, it's a great game!

I love BF games, and the Bad Company games are by far my favorite. 1943 was alright but it got old faster than the sinlge map beta of BC2 which is just wrong. I doubt I'll spend much time on the demo though, so I can save my enthusiasm for release.

MAG for the PS3 is very much like battlefield. I am wondering how MAG will affect BF BC2 sales on the ps3

I've played the beta for MAG. Reminded me alot of BF. Nice huge maps. Lots of Cover. However the maps the have in the Beta, everyone keeps ending up at the same spots on the map... Which is huge. Way easy too flank because so many people focus on one point.
Graphics are not that great, but thats too be expected with how much stuff is on screen at once. So far what I have seen and played, it is Ok... will have too see the rest of the game too have a definite opinion.

how are the vehicles? The only reason I would get the game is if the vehicles are fun to mess around with. are vehicles are large factor in the game?

Whoa aero you know DoD? Does anyone still play that?

I mostly played in earlier versions than source but I was competing at an elite level in that game, I won CAL-I championships three times. Best WWII shooter ever IMO, fucking kills COD. Anyone who says otherwise is stupid. You probably don't remember the old days though when it was REALLY a great game. I'm talking version 1.3 BETA. Insanely fun, best computer/video game shooter ever except for maybe goldeneye.

Ive put something like 35 hours into the MAG beta on PS3 ( yeah its a lot of hours in a short time, i know )

Its shutting down January 10th so id DL it and play like mad. GREAT GAME.

Beta has 2 game modes, Sabotage.. a 32 x 32 person capture the objective mode ( attacking team must capture both A and B at the same time, which then opens C.. exploding chargers at C nets the attackers the win )

Domination.. 128 x 128 ( 256 people ) fight to control 8 objectives.. this one is confusing at first. On the attacking team you must take and hold both burn off towers at the same time, after taking 2 sets of burn off towers your platoon unlocks their 2 letter objectives, you must take and hold these objectives to increase the damage bar.

The game sets your team up in squads of 8, each squad has a squad leader and then 4 squads make up a platoon. Each platoon has a platoon leader and in the domination mode each company has a OIC.

In the domination game mode leaders have the ability to call in all sorts of cool stuff, tactical strikes, strafing runs, gas bombardments.. etc.

It really is a great game, now that the beta has been going for awhile people are communicating very well and really working together to get stuff done. Leading a company or platoon to victory in domination is really a lot of fun.

I suggest everyone give it a try / and or buy it on the 26th.

Playing MW2 on PS3
PSN = fooliecooly

I've tried MAG out as well. It's heavily team based playing so it'd be much better when everyone is MIC'd up

Vaping goes with many things, one of personal favorites is gaming. My girlfriend and I vape and game together regularly. I figure if anyone wants to hop online and play with some fellow vape-a-holics, we could just toss down our Gamertags and build ourselves some nice groups of people to game with as well as bake with!

anyway, I have a good enough amount of games that I'm sure we can find something to play.

Currently I am playing: Lara croft last guardian, hydro thunder, scott pilgrim, shank, castlevania HD and deathspank. (all arcade games... i love the arcade.) It also wouldn't be too hard to convince me to hop into any sort of halo game, that ones always ready to go hehe.

My gamertag is ovahdasturrs on live(and PSN though I don't really go on there too much... i think its a pay service now too? damn.)

anyway, add me up! and feel free to drop your gamertags as well! possibly what you're playing at the moment too, might be a bit easier to coordinate!

I'm tophfisher on there, I'm not on much but say hey next time your on!

I hate to be a online whore, but if you guys dig the Xbox, my buddies and I fire up our vapes and record our podcast "Legend of the Stoned Owl", and it's all about gaming, and mostly stuff around the 360.

You can check it out here: http://www.jupiterbroadcasting.com/?cat=684

Just was playing a bit of deathspank, I think I'm going to be picking up Red Dead tho.. We're interviewing one of the guys that worked on the game, so I figure.. I should get some "research" done.
