Whats the vapexhale eagle? I have perfectly fine working cloud right now it's one of the earlier ones. Should I go ahead and pay the 250 to get the repacement nimbus? I'm curious as to how much better the eagle would be and what other features it has over the nimbus.

And Im guessing there's no release date on the portable version yet?

Thanks!

HP LOL! I know there are some negative connotations with that acronym... what if you just think of it as the "Higher Primate?"

All the banter here about names is fun and all, but might I just remind that the FC community, in particular the subset active in this thread, is a very small fraction of your intended market? For VXL to be successful in the long-term, you gotta reach far beyond us nut cases here. How many of those who bought the Cloud and are not on this forum, know about the StoneMonkey? For that matter, if an element of your strategy is to help drive a more broadly accepted "medical" market, you really want to emphasize StoneMonkey?

If you go the "monkey" route, like sticks implied you gotta build the whole product line identity around it. "Higher Primate" fits into that, but w/o a marketing framework and identity it just invites a "say what?".

The most successful brandings are short, simple, unique yet quickly understood and related to.

Last thought and I'll shut up: Whatever you decide, first test it well with your investors and channel partners. Theirs are the most important opinions.

It was said the warranty will transfer, so you probably won't get warranty for it at the 250 level, i think earlier Clouds are already out of warranty. 350 perk comes with new warranty and a mouthpiece.

^First question.

Lol, they've just revealed their plans for distant future. I think they haven't even begun R&D on that. SM55 have just said they could begin R&D right now if they hit 250K.

I think we should be getting a warranty on the $250 trade in perk (mine is up at the end of this month).

Prior to the campaign we had the option to purchase 2 year warranty extension and by sending in our Cloud to VXL we would have it upgraded to Cloud+ technology. Instead, they appear to offer us a deal that is $100 more expensive but we keep the old Cloud, get a new Eagle, and they keep the fronted cash.

Has anyone seen where VXL said the $250 trade in won't receive a warranty? If that would be the case, I would have to decide what to do here.

You get a new warranty with the Eagle, your old warranty on the previous machine goes away. Make sense?

It's very cool to hear that VXL has future plans for a portable since I am confident that it will rival the best out there. With the upcoming release of the DaVinci Ascent, the bragging rights of an all-glass pathway may no longer be exclusive to VXL ... early pre-release reviews for the Ascent have been very favorable, so it will be interesting to see how other companies attempt to replicate the all-glass approach in a portable.

The Vriptech has had an all glass airpath before both the DV Ascent and VXH Cloud were produced.

So there are 2 future projects planned already? WTF is this HP project? A new desktop? I thought they hit the desktop ceiling with the Eagle. Yeah I know, top secret for now. It will drive me nuts.
I'm really curious about this too.. the 2 types of vaporizers are desktop and portable. So this Project HP is either:

a) desktop (possible but I don't know.. the Cloud and Eagle are already really good..)
b) portable (maybe both new models would be portables, 1 portable extremely small like the MFLB and one a little bigger like the Ascent?)
c) hybrid-like? (sort of like the Solo -- maybe a smaller sized VXC Eagle type that has batteries and can plug in to a wall and car charger)

The way it's worded, it sounds like another desktop unit to me.

SM55 - can you shed a little more details on the HP for those of us who are curious.

What time do you think you'll start working on that? January 2014 or so when production and etc. is running smoothly for the Eagle?

Cool announcement! I'm happy to see we reached the goal.

hey stonemonkey are glass ELB's in the works?

Oh man yesss I would love to have a few glass ELBs.

Cool thanks for anyone that chimed in on my questions. I guess I have up to 23 days to decide here. Def leaning towards upgrading especially if it helps towards an eventual portable version.

The cloud has saved me here lately, been without oil for a few weeks and I busted out the cloud and I haven't skipped a beat! Well almost haha.

I too am curious if it comes with the dry mouthpiece at that price point [I'm thinking no?], I wouldn't use it often, but it'd be cool to play with :brow:

Got a response from VapeXhale. The $500 package does not include the dry mouthpiece.

That's what I was expecting, but a guy's allowed to dream, right? :)

You can use any HT without water, that would be almost the same.

And the Vapolution's all glass air path predates that!. ;)

And Vapolution isn't even using a metal screen or ez-load bowl, so it's not a fair fight.

My LSV is all glass except the metal screen.

But if my cloud+ is in warranty (it only has 3 months) it will keep the warranty till the end of it, right?

No...He said, "your old warranty on the previous machine goes away." This means, no warranty on your old cloud/plus, etc, just a warranty on the eagle. ;) You can still get old Cloud units fixed, but it's not cost effective to VXL at all, so they are best off focussing on shifting warranties to new units, and away from the old ones...You'll pay a bit, and wait a little bit, to get a ticker/plus Cloud fixed.

Makes sense. In fact, 250$ is an upgrading program but they let you keep your cloud+, so I can understand it. If someone wants to keep his warranty he only has to pay 100$ more and buy the 350$ package.
