When paying with paypal you only get a 10% discount rather than the usual 20%. So my advice would be to pay him directly if you can as you'll save yourself some money. There are plenty of people here including me who have paid him directly by giving him their bank details so there is nothing to worry about in that respect. The choice is obviously yours but just so you know it came up my statement as

It's 14 inches tall with a showerhead diffuser and 5mm wall thickness. The fitting is 18mm and is available in male or female. As with all Colie pieces it's made with Schott glass. The price is $100 to FC members, I believe that includes shipping.

I have to agree, it has a certain simple elegance to it that is quite striking.

Now for all you dabbers out there Colie's latest piece is the Double Halo Perc Oil Rig and it looks a little something like this.


Here is a close up picture of the subtly decorated perc.


It stands 12 inches tall with a wall thickness of 5mm and includes the dome and nail shown in the picture. It is made of Schott glass as are all of the Colie Glass pieces other than the basic tubes and beakers which are Simax. You know what guys. A long time ago when I was researching bongs, some people told me to go to my local head shop first. And I gotta say that was the worst advice I ever heard of. (this seems like a long story but I promise I'm going somewhere with this, (also I'm a bit medicated right now)).

Like I just said. Some of the worst advice in the world. Lets see I was able to find 3 at least local head shops. And let me tell you about my experience with each one. The first one I went to I went to after I saw something from grass city.com. I went inside and asked the guy if they had any bongs. So he picks up this ugly big black glass colored piece and tells me that I can have that one for 40.00. I said no way because I wanted the bong to be more clear then colored so that I can see it for practicality reasons. And then he asked what I was looking for. I told him something that had a lot of percolation. And had ash catcher. He looks at me and says ash catcher? What is ash catcher? I looked at him and told him and he said that if I got a bong from him that he would match the online price of grass city and make it 5 bucks less because he likes to compete for business with online businesses. I said thanks bye. He then apologized quickly. He was saying how sorry he was that he was embarrassed. Embarrassed not knowing about. Bongs. I said great bye.

Then the second place. The second place was a place called tobacco house. They only sold tobacco and smoke shop products. So of course they had a large selection of bongs. TOO BAD I COULDN"T BUY ONE EVEN IF I WANTED TO! Because the only person behind the counter was an old looking hick woman. And she said can I help you? And I said yes. I said I would like a bong with ice notches. She said um you can like just throw ice in any of them even if they don't have like um those icy thingys honey.

I said to her uhhh ok. Well miss can you please unlock the glass cabinet that they are in so that I may have a better look and maybe decide about purchasing? She said ok honey. So I am waiting for like 5 minutes for her to find the key out of a key ring that has a shit load of keys on it. And she has no idea what key it is. So I said well looks like I can't buy it even if I wanted to thanks bye.

And the last place had a couple asians running it. This place is called smoked mass. The first guy there. Just looked at me with huge red eyes saying in an accent two words "there bongs", and him just pointing to a large wall cabinet with bongs in them. And these were the most over priced. Pieces of crap I ever saw. First of all there was no type of percolation in most of them. And secondly what percolation was in them was like one tree arm perc if even that in bongs that cost hundreds of dollars.


Then I come on there to this thread and see that colie glass is given good deals like this and I compare, that to the horrible nightmare of dealing with idiots who's entire existence on this planet. Is a bad deal.

Man it just makes me wish I could tell the whole world, go to a head shop if you must but for the love of god compare to the quality, better prices, better glass, and better customer service of the online world compared to the idiots at the head shop and what they are peddling. And this was not just bongs too, the self defense stun guns and knifes and so on were all at least over priced double too.

And that's only three of the head shops I mentioned but the experience always the same.

Absolutely incredible deal wow. This type of percolation is one of my favorites next to honeycomb. And the free nail. Wow just speech less.

It's 14 inches tall and has a honeycomb disc with a turbine disc above. It has a wall thickness of 5mm and come with the flower bowl shown in the picture. The price is $135 with the 20% discount for FC members or $150 with the 10% discount if you choose to pay through PayPal. As usual it comes with free shipping to all FC members.

That may be the one that gets me to finally pull the trigger on a Colie. Certainly looks like it would work very well.

I wonder how much more it'd cost to get the same shaped mouthpiece, only side-mounted bubbler-style, and an 18mm joint put in it to make it removable? Such a thing could easily be a daily driver. It'd store compactly despite the tall native height, and you could change up mouthpieces to whatever height you wanted for individual situations. Or throw on a j-hook so you can watch all the fun happening in the can.

I somehow missed this piece from Colie Glass when I posted the last piece. It is an oil rig/direct injection piece called the "Highly Defined Disc to Turbine Perc Waterpipe".

It stands at 13 to 14 inches tall and has a wall thickness of 7mm. It is made with Schott Borosilicate glass and the stem has an 18mm male joint on the end. At the bottom on the can just above where the stem joins it has a highly defined disc perc and there is a turbine disc perc further up. In case you were wondering what either of those disks looks like exactly I have included links to pictures of them in the names of the percs. With the 20% FC discount it costs $120 or $135 with the 10% discount if you choose to pay through paypal. Those prices include a glass nail and the dome shown in the picture above.

That thing looks like a beast. Nice price, too. I would love to see a water test on that thing.

There's a new piece up on the Artfire store:
"Thick Cirq To Showerhead Perc Water Pipe - 18mm"

I'll need to see video of this one working to form an opinion, but it looks like the inner circ will run dry (making it kinda redundant, but will provide some mixing at least) and just the outer inverse-inverse-showerhead (effectively just another, big-bore circ) looks like it will do all the work? Hard to tell from the low-res Artfire pics, though. With a mix of 7 and 9 mill glass, it's a solid unit, but I wish he'd also quote can and mouthpiece diameters (and heights) in his specs.

It also looks like he's finally experimenting with removable mouthpieces! This mouthpiece even seems to have a doughnut splashguard in the base, though again it's hard to tell with the low res photos and angle. Maybe it's just indents?

From the video it looks like it functions pretty well and both perc seem to be firing nicely but obviously you can make your own conclusions.

If the inner perc was running dry I imagine that there would be a noticeable difference between the water levels on the inside and outside of the showerhead when he stops drawing or at least a period of time where the water tries to reach equilibrium. Since there are neither of these things happening I'm guessing that there is enough turbulence generated by the cirq inside the showerhead to contain enough water to stop it running dry.

Since the total height of the piece is quoted as 9-10 inches and it takes an 18mm slide you can probably take a rough guess at the other dimensions.

Man that is a sick piece, my ideal height. That is a really good price for 7-9mm glass.
