I would try to not be a slave to the numbers on the dial.
The temperature indicated on a setting is releative to "where" that heat is measured, and is only a reminder to help you get to where you were happy before.
all my other vapes turns it brown at around 385f. i dont see the point in in turning it up to 400f+ just to get brown avb that makes no sense...
The point is... one vape at 400 may be the same as another vape set at 385
The point is.... if you want darker abv... the turning it up DOES make sense.
.....it always never really gets it nice and brown ever, it leaves it yellow all the way up till 7.5, and after 3 bags of vapor all the other bags are really lackluster...
Try going up.. experiment with your tool.
You may find some Luster~

Anyone else find it annoying that the control light keeps going on and off every minute or 2 coz the Volcano doesn't hold its heat? Is mine defective or is this normal? Have to wait for it to go on and off before I blow a bag coz I don't want the control light to go off while I'm in the middle of blowing a bag coz that means its getting lower temperature air mixed in

You know that the light is a current indicator, right? When it's lit that means the volcano is supplying current to the heater. Seems like you have it backwards but maybe the wording is just weird.

Anyway, that isn't hurting anything. The airpath is being actively controlled at a specific temp. So if the light is on that means the temp fell to the low end, but that's the low end of 1* of tolerance. So your airpath is within 1* of the target temp at all times. Right when the light turns off your airpath is at it's hottest.

It is normal....
Rather than finding it annoying I find it reassuring.. that the thermostatic control is so delicate that it works continually to keep unit at consistent temperature`

Thanks for clarifying everybody. That cleared my misunderstanding right up and now when the control light comes on I'm no longer worried.. it was just my little OCD getting to me hah. :D Lovin the Volcano

I just cleaned up my good old volcano, he is still in perfect shape. I was running out of bud so I'm using some trim I saved, what is so good about this unit is the huge loading chamber and the effortless pull. I can get some good vapor out of that weak material. Glad I kept this unit. Flavor definition is really good with new bags ! I sip my bags through my dry DG, very smooth !

To clean the metal parts I boiled them with bicarbonate, then a bit of acid to finish.

Hell yea man, just got back in touch with my Volcano as well. After all this time, the unit still amazes me. It's really a precise, top notch instrument. The vapors are candy-like and sweet, quite aromatic. It is the tastiest experience I have had from vaporizer by far, barring you are in the proper temperature range. You can jack up the heat and get a little thicker vapor, but that's when I start tasting popcorn. If you are honed into the right temperature range, you'll get sweet perfume like vapors that taste truly unique. You can't quite put your finger on what it is that you are tasting, but it's incredible, it's complex and sweet. Plus I will always have ultimate peace of mind knowing that this device has been extensively studied by scientists, who have confirmed that it's a sound vaporizer design, which really delivers you the goods in a safe/pure fashion.

Maybe I am just weird, but I have never been impressed by the Volcanos flavour...it's a fun device to use, and medicates well...but I have tasted better.

Interesting care to share which ones? I'm sure there are other great tasting Vaporizers out there, but I'd think Volcano is still in the top 5 somewhere.

Not meaning to intervene, and deferring to Tweek, but I think the Solo, which is direct draw, and the Silver Surfer and Da Buddha, which employ a whip, have somewhat better vapor taste and quality. I believe that since the Volcano vapor resides in a bag that the vapor is dispersed and the flavor degraded a little bit, even if you hit it right away. The whip and direct draws deliver the vapor to your mouth immediately. The Volcano still tastes pretty good to me, though.

I was filling a bag yesterday and decided to try to mate it to one of my Cloud Hydratubes. Well it worked absolutely fantastic! The easy valve filled bag mates perfectly to the bottom of the HT and smooths out the vaper lovely. My only complaint about the 'Cano is now gone (Very Harsh on the throat)! I can fill a bag on 9 with incredibly thick vapor....run it through the HT...and get Cloud like results! No coughing whatsoever! And I find it super convenient to sip on my bag at my leisure while remaining comfortable. Running the vapor through water changes the experience for me tremendously. I'm so glad I picked up one of these for the collection...

Going on flavour alone and in no specific order:

SSV
Cera
Solo
FlashVape

Even my PAX on low gives me a flavour I prefer. Volcano is just too drying for me to appreciate any real taste. There is also the issue of it hanging around getting stale in the bag. Just not as impressive as I initially thought it was going to be, in terms of taste. That's just my opinion though, all are valid.

Does anybody use the glass adapter that planetvape offers for the easy valve? If so, what are your thoughts on it? Is the vapor constantly escaping once the glass piece is on the bag? Also, does anybody know of any other glass adapters that are being sold?

I use this exact wpa and I have nothing but good things to say about it. It only leaks a little vapor if you overfill your bags but in normal use not at all. It's a quality piece that works well and lets you walk around with bong and bag at the ready.

Does anyone know where I might be able to buy a replacement volcano digit air button (the green one)? I have found replacement classic volcano air rockers but I haven't been able to find the green digit button.

I've emailed storz-bickel but they won't send me a replacement button - only offering to fix it for $40 if I mail it them. I'd rather do it myself to save the time and money.

I doubt anyone has 'cano parts except S&B. Vaporizer repair isn't a viable business model. Even if you found your part, I don't think you'd save any significant time or money.

I have a Digital Volcano with an Easy Valve and wanted to create a nice set-up with water filtration. I have seen videos on Youtube of people who have placed silicon hoses with adapters on one end over the Easy Valve and the other end into their water apparatus. The only glass pieces I have are a PN WT with PV HES. Does anybody have any suggestions I have on creating a nice set-up? The help would be greatly appreciated

Go to planet vape.... use their Volcano Easy Valve GonG attachment, and vape with the tools you already have.
