Must be kind of tough reclaiming all the sparkly goodness left behind on the voluminous insides of the coffee grinder no?
You make a great point, but I've not yet noticed that to be the case. I hit the grind button just a few times in very brief bursts; in between bursts I shake it up to even it out, and then burst again. It is never allowed to reach a cyclone speed where centripetal force would thrust all the goodness to the sides. Works for me:)

question for those that have vapor bonged with the solo.
is it hard to draw with it attached, i have noticed its an easier draw with it packed looser, but im wondering what type of bong i should get now.
One with zero draw, alot of diffusion, or just one perc?

I'm pretty new to all this and only up to pg 125 in the thread, but this is def my fav fathers day present, and im looking to expand its use

With the solo something smaller with less diffusion usually works well. The infamous & the PNWT both pair well with the solo. I wouldn't worry too much about the draw, something about vaping through water with the solo seems to make the draw a little easier. I don't know if the water creates extra suction or I am just imagining it but it just seems easier to me. I also pack my stems tight with a fine grind it works well for me but I never really minded the restricted draw to start with. In fact I kind of enjoy it because if you learn to work with it instead of against the restriction it makes the solo completely effortless.

One suggestion might be to search google e.g., youtube+solo+bubbler...lots of reviews out there that answer your questions and questions you haven't even thought of;)...good info. I have posted pics and reviews of the Solo and related items in various FC threads - maybe somethings are there that you can use.

Wow. That sounds really good!

This has been my experience as well.

With my 14" GBD Bubbler I have to pull hard enough to qualify for the space program and that is with the PVHE GONG. Whereas using my 11" HVY travel tube is fairly effortless, even if using a stock stem with a grommet in the downstem.

What type of o rings are those. ive been wanting to order a bunch of them from therubberstore.com but i didnt know what type to purchase. the ones you got seem identicial to the one pv sends w/ there gong and stems. so any info would help thanks.

You want high temperature silicone rubber, 400F plus type stuff. Size 113. I got mine from McMaster Carr:

Naw, real easy, as long as your bud is well dried, it's dust held by static charges, use a small (artist type) paintbrush to sweep it out in one go. Kief collects nicely in mine, I sweep it into a jar for 'special uses'.

I might have to break out my old "twirling blade" coffee grinder, that the wife put away after getting a conical burr grinder. :)

What is the smallest amount I could use to test it?

...where centripetal force would thrust all the goodness to the sides.

I always do a double take at the proper use of the term centripetal.

But I still cringe at the thought of flowers in a coffee grinder... :-)

Just be sure it's clean (you don't want to vape French Roast do you)?

I usually do a gram or two at a time, but you could do a fraction of a gram well, I bet?

These guys are actually kind of fun, too:

Save the double take then. The proper term is actually centrifugal force, the 'being thrown outward' as in 'centrifugal pump'. Centripetal force is the real countering force keeping the pump impeller from exploding. the rock has centrifugal force throwing it outward, held by the centripetal of the string holding it back.

And I wouldn't worry too much about the poor flowers, it's really over quite quickly and painlessly. The difference between the guillotine and being roasted at the stake?

Idk why quote reply isnt working it just jumps to bottom of page without quoting. Dreamerr if you want to replicate combustion just vape some herb till it is dark brown and you get no more vapor out (use white light on exhale to be sure). Then grind to a powder and place 1mm in the bowl at a time whilst compressing it down as hard as your can without cracking the glass. Once bowl is full it will be rock solid. Then heat up to 7 and leave at 7 till light stops and starts blinking twice. Then inhale really slowly with a whip attachment so that the light flicks on then off really quickly not the usual 1 sec on 1 sec off which means the temp peaks and stays. If you got this far you should be coughing from burning ABV and sure that yes you can combust in the solo lol.

Still waiting on the bent bubbler :(

Received my PVHES GonG 14MM regular

Using my solo with the GonG, much better than the stock stem.

I hope i get my bubbler next week. :\

Also ordered a PA on ebay tailor made with 1.7mm output adapter 8.5V 5A

Can't wait to use them both

I was going to double-check my self re "centripetal" but just went ahead and posted. I knew some would double check for me though...and I appreciate it!

I have the same one to make POLLEN PELLETS!

Have you had any issues? The reviews on amazon aren't so great. But then again it's so cheap.

I wish I could remember where I put my leaky Omicron carts I meant to get reclaim from!!

Hmmmmm, Kush & Kona, that actually sounds intriguing! :)

I will have to try this out. Perhaps using something from the cupboard as a test medium.

FOR SCIENCE! :science:

I have looked at these in the past, but the reviews always make it sound pretty ineffective.

It would be great if Santa Cruz or Space case would make a high quality version utilizing a glass receptacle and a more powerful motor.

Ok just knocked my bong temp down to 3.... Whooaa! Way better for day time high! Stay away from those high temps unless it's night time!

I do this all the time. Vape at lower temp early in the evening, saving all the abv. Then re-vape the abv right before bed using a higher temp. Knocks me right out.
